Perfect Brows

I’ve been to the 880 9^th Avenue location a very many times simply because it’s close to my place of business. I’ve read the other reviews on this location and for the most part I completely agree. The staff, initially, was not at all friendly to me. On one occasion the service received (eyebrow threading) was sub par and rushed… But over the course of a year or two I’ve noticed little changes. Perhaps it’s because I go there frequently, so the staff has become accustomed to me, but I’ve noticed little differences. I’ve noticed the staff doing a better job of greeting people. I’ve noticed the staff taking a little more time to thread, etc.
I’d also like to give a shout out to the ladies there, particularly Subha as she is the person who most recently threaded my eyebrows and did a most wonderful job doing so. In fact, she knows exactly how I like mine done so I don’t have to explain anything upon arrival. (And I must admit, I’m quite particular).
I rate this location 3.5 stars!

If you’re looking for a quick eyebrow threading place for cheap then this is your place. Just don’t expect smiles or a huge welcome to their store that’s not their thing.

I went to their NEW sister store on 49^th and 9^th so this review is for that location. Eyebrow Threading was suffice. I really went there to check out their lash extensions since it was only for $ 30 but they talked me into doing my eyebrows as well (more to come on that); I couldn’t resist the $ 7 price point. However I suppose I was truly spoiled though since my first lash extensions were made by Xtreme lashes and had them done at a boutique that specialized in its application. They normally
start at $ 150 for a full set, which I only splurged on at one time for a friend’s wedding so I was definitely expecting the standard «store version» individual lashes as a definite downgrade this time around which was fine. You get a choice of using short, medium, or long (I chose short for my first try as a test of both their skill and how they will look on me). I also just wanted to have some extra oomph to go with my halloween makeup/​costume (my visit was on 10÷31÷15) so I didn’t make a huge fuss. The first red flag which I should have addressed immediately was that they did not put (protective) anti-​wrinkle pads to cover my bottom lashes, which seems should be standard at lash extension places (or at least I thought). So if you do the math: eyes closed plus extensions being glued on top of your upper lashes equals lower lashes sticking to them… the glue dries fast as well, and the technician didn’t tell me NOT to close my eyes so tightly until after she realized my lashes had already gotten stuck. She tried to pull them apart gently but the glue was already mostly dry. I think there was some solution that she dabbed on the tissue to loosen the glue but when she was trying to wipe it off my bottom lashes and face, it felt more like sandpaper under my eyes and I definitely lost some baby lower lashes as a result. I now have a gap where the hair was ripped off but that’s the price I paid. The lashes were the short duralash individuals you can buy at any store, but the glue she used was black in color; not sure of the brand. FINAL VERDICT: For threading it’s probably fine. For lash extensions, I would say it does the job if you want a quick and cheap alternative. They are supposed to last for 2 – 3 weeks though I really would rather rip them off now (because I am so over it). The one plus was that owner told me if any fall off within the first 24 hours they will replace them for free. Lastly — I recommend to anyone who has never gotten lash extensions before to TEST IT OUT before going all out and investing, and to do it days — even weeks — before your event. The glue itself
— no matter how they sell it to you: surgical grade, made with 24 karat gold etc. lol, IT IS AN EYE IRRITANT. Your eyes WILL 100% burn and tear up; although temporary or minimal. It is worse if you end up being allergic and cause permanent eye damage. I am used to it and willing to tolerate it enough to do them again but these are your eyes people! So be careful. They get one star for doing an OK job on my brows… and I will also explain why. They try to sell you more services than what you came there for by making you feel self-​conscious. As an example; a lady came in for her eyebrows with her baby and was really in a rush. They took her first with the permission from other customers who came before her which was nice. After she was done and about to leave, her technician said «Your brows look great! Maybe next time you can do your lip mustache too…» You can hear the change and concern in the customer’s voice who then looks at her face in the mirror and says «Oh, Really? You think I need it? Hmm, Ok. I guess.*thinks for a second* Oh can you do it now, I think I do have time now?» To her desperation the technician joyfully replies: «Yes, you see I told you, sure… since you’re here anyway it will only take 2 more minutes of your time!» THANKS… and that’s how they got me to do my brows too when I could have tweezed them myself for free!!! #lessonlearned #thepriceofbeauty

This was my go to place, since it’s a quick walk from home. Even though the staff doesn’t care two hoots about you, I didn’t care, as long as my eyebrows were threaded and well arched. But there’s only so much insult one can bear. On an unusually warm day filled with running errands, when I reached here, all I asked was for some one to turn on the air. What I got in return was loads of rude cuss words thrown around in their language, laughing, name calling and a service that finished in under one minute. The lady had no regard for how badly she was hurting my skin, she just kept on bad mouthing me to her colleague. Even though I don’t understand their language, I’m smart enough to know when someone’s saying nasty stuff about me. To top it all, when I told her about how I didn’t appreciate her lack of manners, her colleague starting snapping at me. When I told her she was being rude, she said ‘what will you do?’ I was aghast!
I am NEVER going back here. If this is the price I have to pay to ask for the air to be turned on!!!

NEVER coming again. Unprofessional and rude beyond belief with no tact. The quality is hit or miss depending on who you get. Regardless, no one cracks a smile or is friendly. Some ladies are rough on the skin.
The worst: they speak to each other while they are working in their own language. Too bad I can actually understand it and they make fun of and b**** about the customers.
If the ladies aren’t happy with their tip for a 10 min if not even service, they will name call and use really degrading words in their language as if they did you a huge favor and you didn’t pay them. I would never trust my face with them again. They really need to get their act together.

Love these chain of threading salons.
Came in and desperately needed my brows done.
15 minutes later I’m all clean and ready to move on with my day.
Great place and quick service and you can’t beat 7 bucks!

Seems like they have taken my review under consideration. There’s a slight smile cracking up on the sides of their lips now at the cash registry. Still a long way from perfect. But getting there.

I had a great experience despite my apprehension from the not so great reviews. Sarita was professional, nice and efficient! I had a wax and threading done. Not only was the price right but I am satisfied with the experience overall!

I moved out of the neighborhood and like this eyebrow spot so muchI come back up every two weeks to get my eyebrows and lip done. They are quick, listen to what you want and always do a good job.

DO NOT GO HERE. The woman with the birth mark on her face is a bitch and she takes out the eyebrows so thin, barely leaving you with any eyebrows. And they don’t even greet you when you come in, or smile. everybody has a stank face.

They were very quick, the woman I had fixed the arch on my uneven eyebrows. They were pleasant, I wouldn’t say overly friendly but they did a great job on my brows so what more can you ask for?

Never had an issue going here. It is convenient if you work in the area. It is also cheap and honestly if you tell them exactly what you want, they always do a good job. I always make sure to say «not too thin» and keep the shape. Always pretty satisfied going here.

Aesthetician was receptive to my brow preferences, and delivered with great results. Very pleased

If you’re looking for a good, or atleast mediocre, eyebrow spot with decent customer service, please DO NOT GO THIS PLACE!
They did an ok job on my eyebrows but what really threw me off was the lack of social skills that these eyebrow attendants had. First off, the lady threading my eyebrows finished the job within 2 minutes of me sitting on the chair. I couldn’t stop twitching because the pain of how fast this lady was going and it was completely excruciating. Next, the one who was collecting my money kept asking me if I was going to leave a tip. I had to say, «excuse me?». She then repeated, «Are you going to leave me a tip?» I looked at her with a confusion on my face as if who really asks those questions when you’re paying for a service. OF COURSE I WAS GOING TO LEAVE A TIP BUT NOW THAT YOU ASKED. IT MAKES THE EXPERIENCE THAT MUCH UNPLEASANT.
Overall, if you are looking to be treated like a Queen, please keep walking to the next available eyebrow shop because you will not find it here.

Always fast, and exactly how I want them. Note they have a $ 10 credit card minimum, so when you don’t have cash, the $ 7 threading turns into a $ 10 service. Also, they have a frequent visiter card. I think your 10^th threading is free if you use the card each time.

Please do yourself a favor and don’t go here. The girls here are vicious. They make fun of customers (I know this because I speak their language) and ridicule them.
I just got my eyebrows threaded and the woman literally dug the thread into my skin. Inspire of repeated requests to tell her to go slow, she continued like a crazed woman and seemed annoyed that I was wasting her time by asking her to be a little gentle. I left no tip and I NEVER do that. Horrible horrible experience.

This place is HORRID! I’ve received better eyebrow threading in the Middle of Nowhere, Missouri.
Not only was my threader heavy handed, rough and nothing close to thorough (she did not even reach for the tweezers to clean up the shape of my arch), this place has no witch hazel, aloe or any type of soothing agent in sight! As a result, I broke out the next day all over my temples and brow line.
A huge disappointment and not worth a DIME.

I have been going here for the past two years, and I love it here. My eyebrows always look awesome (I’m constantly complimented on them), and it’s only $ 8 for threading! I love it here, and highly recommend them!

I’ve come to Perfect Brows multiple times to have my eyebrows threaded and my monthly brazilian wax.
In order to receive consistent service at PBrows, it’s imperative to find an aesthetician who can provide what you value in a threading/​waxing service.
I went yesterday to have my brazilian done. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes which was awesome. I am always paired with a different aesthetician who was distant, but speedy. I will be requesting her next time.
If PBrows was more consistent I could provide a better review. The price is why I go, you can’t beat $ 8 eyebrow threading and a $ 35-​$ 40 brazilian wax in the city. Once I find my favorite threader and get the name of the lady who waxes me I’ll post their names, and update my stars: o)

Awful, just awful. I have been away on business and was home for a day before heading up to see my family for Thanksgiving. I was hitching a ride with a friend and realized out of all of my beauty errands for the day I totally forgot to get my eyebrows tamed. I looked across the street and realized I had 10 minutes to burn so why not just head into Perfect Brows?
I asked for a clean up and for them to keep the arch. My eyebrows look like two rainbows over my eyeballs. Thanks for cleaning up the stray hairs but you totally destroyed the shape I had going on.
The only positive is that it took less than 5 minutes for them to ruin my face.
