PRI was appalling. They saw my account on LinkedIn and contacted me about a position they were trying to fill. I went through several rounds of interviews and they wanted me to contact them before and after every interview for updates, but whenever they received updates from the company about delays in hiring this position, they never bothered to notify me and I’d go weeks without hearing anything.
PRI cares about PRI, but they clearly cared nothing about me. It’s possible that this is not company-​wide, and just the fault of the person handling my account, but I really don’t care after that experience. I’ll never work with them again.

Avoid this search firm at all cost. There are a few there that I think are good but nothing to run home about. Janet is the worst, stay away at all cost.
I got an interview for a lame temp role that was never going perm and Janet sat there threatening me I could not look for another job for the period of the temp contract. Janet was just a nag and one of those people that are a sleezy sales person you just want to run from. Needless to say I was offered the temp role but didn’t take it had enough of the ridiculous threats for a low paying temp role.
Note they will tell you anything to take the role. They told me the role had a high chance of going perm. When I spoke to everyone at firm they made it clear this had no chance of going perm as they couldn’t get head count. So listen to what Perennial says and do your due diligence, just don’t let them know you did.

I’m not sure why this place has such bad ratings. I responded to an add online and within a few days received a call from Kathy. She was very polite on the phone and was flexible with when I could come in to interview. I came in and she gave me really great advice about my resume and what to wear to an interview. I immediately went home and made the changes to my resume and sent it back that afternoon. The next day I got an email about an interview she scheduled for me. You just have to listen to the advice they give and be proactive about your own career.

This all happened about 6 months ago, but I was too lazy to finish this review and post it. Also, I’m deliriously happy at my new job (which PRI did not find for me) so this review isn’t even coming from a place of anger. Anyway, here’s the story of why PRI deserves 2 stars:
The short version:
I stupidly believed what they told me and gave up a crappy temp job WITH benefits for another crappy temp job with NO benefits only to have the whole thing blow up in my face and have no job with no benefits. Oh and the recruiter I worked with totally knew I was already getting benefits and still, she convinced me to give them up for this wonderful temp-​to-​perm job she promised me. In the end I was lied to and then ignored. Yea I know, that’s just what recruiters DO. Anyway, you can read the long ass version for the fully story.
The loooooong version:
Prior to PRI, I was in a long-​term temp position with benefits. But I was still actively looking for permanent work. PRI called me with a temp-​to-​perm position. I was hesitant to take the job since it was not perm and I was already getting benefits as a temp. They explained that the reason it was not yet perm was because the current person who was filling the role was permanent and they could not open up two headcounts. Hence, she had to leave before I could be hired permanently. She was to be gone in a week. Okay, I understand that no matter what a recruiter tells you, there are always risks when taking a temp-​to-​perm job. In this case, I believed the recruiter when she told me the only other risk I would run was if they didn’t like me enough to hire me permanently.
Shortly after this current employee left the company, I was expecting an offer to be extended. Instead, after another week had gone by, I was told that my supposedly permanent headcount was cut due to a restructuring and they were no longer in need of my services. This restructuring was obviously never mentioned when I first spoke to PRI. And I have been involved in a few company restructures, so I know that removing a permanent headcount is not something that just happens overnight. Someone knew that this was going to take place and purposely withheld information. Not saying that PRI necessarily knew about it. I’m just saying that someone somewhere kept their mouth shut. But no matter what, it doesn’t reflect well on PRI. Either they knew about it and didn’t say anything. Or they didn’t do their proper due diligence before placing candidates.
The recruiter took awhile to get back to me after I emailed/​called/​texted her about what happened. When I finally heard back she sympathized and promised to help me find something else. After several weekly follow up emails (at her suggestion) and getting no response, I eventually just gave up on her. At some point she got back to me and offered me some entry level job that involved moving boxes around or something? I don’t know.
In retrospect, I don’t know why I thought they cared. If they showed any sign that they were really trying to find me something, or were at least RESPONSIVE, I would likely have given PRI a 4 or 5 star review. Instead I give them 2 stars and that’s only because after my position was cut, this same company was nice enough to extend a 6 week courtesy of continuing my employment while I looked for work. I don’t know if PRI had anything to do with that courtesy, but I can’t discount their hand in it completely. In addition, the woman who processes the time sheets is very nice and actually is responsive. She might be the only helpful person there. Unfortunately she’s not the recruiter.
Long story long, my experience wasn’t great, mostly because I wasn’t given full transparency and I felt ignored. Really, there were many things PRI could have done to mitigate the situation. They just chose not to.
