I’ve been coming to the Angelo David Salon since 2011. It’s my go-​to place for a beautiful blow-​out and manicure.
To be fair and in total candor, my mom is a professional stylist/​cosmetologist back home in Miami. So, this review comes from someone who is familiar with the industry. Now that that’s out of the way…
A few years ago, I found myself in dire need of a haircut and no plans in the super-​near future to venture home to get one. At that point, no one had ever cut my hair except for my mother. So I was freaking out and a little worried. Upon going to Angelo David, I met a lovely stylist named Meaghan (she’s from Florida too! And she is also a Florida Gator like me!!! #serendipity). She became the first person to give me a haircut besides my mother. It was fantastic. She followed the «guide» my mom had mapped out in my hair (aka the ‘pattern’ of your previous haircut — if it’s a good one!), and I was beyond happy. In fact, when I went back home to visit, my mother 110%-approved of Meaghan’s work! Meaghan had even spruced it up a bit and layered my hair a little bit more.
Since, then the Angelo David Salon has been a staple in my hair care. Angelo himself is an extremely nice guy. He’s caring, helpful and just all-​around awesome. In the last 5-​years that I’ve been going to Angelo David, I’ve gotten to know him and he’s made an effort to know me as a client. Whether, it’s chatting about fashion, makeup or heck, giving me boyfriend advice — Angelo’s a great guy. (I joke around with him that Il Volo’s Piero Barone could totally be his son — red glasses and all!) ;-)
I also get my manicures done at Angelo David as well and their manicurist Marjana is exceptional. She is a wiz at her craft and doesn’t need to have fancy designs or acrylics to showcase what a master she really is. Her manicures are always what they should be: clean, precise and flawless. Marjana also works quickly, has an amazing eye for colour and makes the creation of such a perfect manicure look easy.
Definitely, I highly recommend the Angelo David Salon to anyone looking for quality cuts, blow-​outs and manicures. It’s hands-​down one of the best places for hair care in Manhattan.

Best hairstylist in Manhattan, hands down! I’m going from black color treated hair to blonde. He’s smart about it and we’re taking our time the process has been fun every step of the way!

I’ve always wanted to be a true blonde. I’ve tried twice and both times I’ve been orange. Finally, I met Meaghan. Not only is she an amazing colorist but she’s the best at what she does! Color, cut, blow dry — there’s no one else I trust and does it better. I’ve lived in NYC for 10 years and will never go to anyone else!!! Call and ask for her! Love you Meahgan!

If you are in need of perfect color Meaghan is your girl! I have gone from platinum pixie to a luxurious ashy blonde, and the health of my hair is fantastic. Meg, you get it right every time!

It’s definitely a place worthy to go to getting your hair done. It’s located on a prime location at Madison Avenue with a nice overview of the street from the second floor of the building. When I arrived I was greeted by the staff, and was offered a drink before getting my hair done. After waiting 5 minutes my hairdresser came to consult with me what I wanted to do with my hair, and she offered some personal opinions about what to do. Overall it was a nice experience of getting my hair done, and I’m happy with the result. Definitely a place worthy to go back to.

The Angelo David Salon is a very classy hair salon on Madison Avenue. The staff is very friendly and very well trained. The Salon is located on the second floor and has a very nice view overlooking Madison Avenue. The staff offers good and professional advice when you ask them. While you’re hair is being cut you get the chance to enjoy a nice cocktail or another drink. Overall I was very satisfied with the result. Great job!

It has taken me a few years to write this review, since my law suit against Angelo David Salon has been in progress. Angelo David Salon sold me hair extensions, which they claim was European Hair. The cost of the hair was a couple thousand dollars, and each visit to the salon was about $ 500 for maintenance and highlights, which was required every 6 – 7 weeks. In actuality they were not giving me European Hair, which they claimed. It was a «Yak» or Indian hair, inferior quality to what I was paying for. The hair caused horrible damage to my own hair, causing hair to fall out, creating a bald spot under my hair. It took two + years for it to grow back, and fortunately i am healthy and it did grow back. However it was two years of hell. I was modeling part time and was unable to. I grew depressed and it affected my self esteem. I would never get sewed in hair extensions again. It puts way too much stress on your own hair. I have good hair & it’s healthy as it always was. I would only use Halo Hair Extensions which are non threatening to your hair, and can be worn on occasion but not daily. Angelo David Salon will charm clients with a glass of wine and smiles., they are selling you diamonds and providing you with CZ’s. I think they do a really good job with highlights and cuts! But stay away from hair extensions. And personally for me, i cannot go to a salon i don’t trust. For that reason, i cannot provide a good review.

Good experience at Angelo David Salon. The staff was friendly and helpful and definitely knew what they were doing. I felt at ease throughout my haircut and my hair felt light and healthy after. I left the salon looking like a new woman. Definitely would recommend this salon to friends.

Angelo David Salon is one of the best salons I have ever been too. I recently went there for the first time and had a haircut and manicure. I really enjoyed my experience. I have received multiple compliments on my hair and nails. The staff was very friendly and made me feel right at home. For the first time in a long time I look forward to my next haircut.

The Angelo David Salon delivers! I’m usually really picky about where I go to get my haircut, as a result of being on the receiving end of some bad haircuts elsewhere. However, Ivy did an amazing job. I told her what I wanted during my consult and she made my hair look better than I ever could’ve anticipated! She made me feel so comfortable in the salon chair, she’s truly the best! I have found my new favorite salon in New York City!

I highly recommend the Hair Detox vitamins. I started using them about 9 months ago and noticed new hair growth and really strong nails. Compared to other hair vitamins on the market I’ve tried these are a much better product. Now they are coming out with a new formula which has a better smell. Certianly worth a try!

Without a doubt one of the best, if not the best, salon I’ve ever been to.
Highly professional staff and very experienced team. They are very polite, offer you drinks and take your coat. They always do an excellent job — I am not the best at explaining what I want but they somehow always know.

I went to Houda to have my eyebrows done and she was incredible. She only uses tweezing so her technique is very exact; giving me the perfect arch I’ve been waiting for. I’m thrilled to finally have found someone to go to for my brows. I will make regular appointments to see Houda for my eyebrows and to do my makeup for special occasions.

This salon makes my day brighter and better when I come In. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful.

I always LOVE coming to Angelo David Salon! I had an excellent hair cut here this month and always love getting my hair blown out here too! Every stylist I’ve been to has done an amazing job & you can’t go wrong with the fabulous customer service!

I had a great experience here!
After a long day of work it’s always nice to relax and unwind pampering yourself. I arranged to get a blowout done on a Friday. Very easy to get in, the staff was accommodating to my schedule. The salon floor was a bit busy at the time of my appointment so the team put me in a PRIVATE room to myself free of charge! So great! I was able to get a touch up on my make up too. Very full-​service salon.
They offer wine, water, coffee and said sometimes they have treats. I have definitely referred a few people here already.
I will definitely be coming back!

Single-​Process Color
The most basic and commonly referred to color service is something called a single-​process or one-​process color. It’s a type of color — permanent, semi-​permanent or demi-​permanent — that’s applied to the entire head to create a new base color.
When women say they’re having their hair colored — as opposed to highlighted — it usually means they’re getting a single-​process color.

ANGELO HEAVEN… I have been coming to angelo david salon for about 2 years.
I did my research for hair extensions & this is hands down the BEST place.
I go to CRICELA & then get my hair cut by MR DAVID himself, whom i must say is super sweet. He always make sure I leave the salon looking and feeling GREAT.
This place is worth every PENNY .the staff is amazing, ATTENTIVE always on point making sure your NEEDS are well taken care of: from geting me lunch, coffee, tea or even wine (when i am here on a late night :)). I even received complementary manicures from MARJANA while i got my color done.
what can i say I LOVE IT HERE !! This is how salons should work
