Pretty good! I’m very happy I tried this. My steak was alright — there were some crunchy red parts in it that I found kind of weird, but I’ll definitely be back to try the fried chicken. They have $ 4 wine in bottles. That’s the best deal ever. I liked the atmosphere and that it’s so close to some of Harlem’s best dives.

I’ve been eating in Pee Dee steakhouse since they been in 86 Street. The chef and owner is cool. The food is always good and cooked just the way I like it. I could eat here everyday and never get tired of their food. Keep it up guys

Pee Dee’s is an awesome and casual, inviting spot to get your meat cravings filled. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Fillet(2 piece) Sandwich meal, which came with a baked potato. The sandwich looked a bit bare to me when it came out(it’s made up of the hamburger buns and the chicken pieces), but it tastes much better than it looks. Once I went beyond that initial impression of the sandwich, I increasingly enjoyed it. This spot is definitely spacious, and I love that it’s inviting and relaxed. One of the staff workers behind the counter helpfully explained how I could order my food from the table or counter, since I asked as a first-timer to the spot. The wall in the back devoted to Michael Jackson was so great to see, and I’m glad there’s a TV in the back too– I only wish there were more TVs spread throughout the eatery, so that people don’t have to go towards the back if they want to tune into a show or watch a sports game. Walking in, I was wondering how the staff workers and other customers would respond to me, since I’m from outside the neighborhood and a first-timer at the restaurant. I’m glad I asked the staff worker on the spot how things worked and that I was a first-timer, because he was pretty receptive and friendly about that. I’m happy with the experience I had at Pee Dee’s, and whenever I visit Harlem it’ll be on my radar!

I used to go to the pee dee on 86th street and 3rd avenue. For the great sirloin steak and big potatoes. The shrimp is extra crispy and very good. Highly recommend this place because it is quiet date night for the perfect couple. They just starting serving wine and beer… Please go and enjoy yourself…

I’m so glad that I decided to walk down 125th St en route to my destination or else I wouldn’t have stumbled across this gem in the middle of the block between 5th Ave and Lenox Ave. There are several things that I liked about this place, but my favorite would be the ability to see your meal prepared right in front of your eyes. The man behind the counter was very nice and quite friendly, and so was the rest of the staff. PD is the abbreviation for Pee Dee. My son and I ordered the chicken fingers lunch which came with the following choices, baked potato or rice, salad or coleslaw and garlic bread. The chicken wings choices are buffalo, BBQ, grilled teriyaki, applewood BBQ or fry. There are several surf and turf items available and several house combos for your liking. The prices are reasonably priced and I believe the food is worth it. The salad was really good as well. They gave a real salad and not a salad of just lettuce. The food was very good and it was enough to satisfy you. I will definitely come back to PD Steak II to dine again. My dining experience was great!

I’ve been coming to peedees for many many years since 2nd avenue 111th street and I’m still coming back love the steaks, ribs and chicken. You can’t go wrong here. Your tummy will love you for it 20 years and I’m still a fan

Great Place! Love the old guy that’s behind the grill. He makes the best dishes. His BBQ chicken can’t be beat. He makes the burgers perfectly and always checks to make sure he’s making your food exactly the way you want it. Avoid the place when the other guy is cooking. He’s arrogant and dumps salt in the food if he’s in a bad mood. He’s slick. Twice we’ve taken our food home after he’s cooked it and had to throw it out. If it’s not the old guy cooking — turn around and walk out.

Pee Dee’s has been around for a while. Great place to get a good grilled meal. I suggest the beef ribs myself. Harlem staple…

I order from Peedee’s regularly. The guy who answers the phone can be a prick sometimes with his grumpy attitude and the guys may forget your jumbo onion rings or jello, which is disappointing but I’m still a customer. There are 2 men who do the grilling(1 respectful older guy and 1 slightly younger grump). I tip very well if my food isn’t spilled in the bag. If not, I just tip WELL and don’t order for a week or two. The mac and cheese could be more flavorful, as well as the onions, greens, and yellow rice. Salad and cole slaw. eh they’re ok. The bbq(applewood and teriyaki) wings and shrimp are my fave. Garlic bread is delish! Pudding(chocolate) could be richer, pies are good, cheescake and strawberry shortcake tastes good. Lol. Yeah, I spend money here. I stopped eating beef but when I used to order steaks, I was in heaven. The cows forgave me… Never had any of the fountain drinks. They do sell beer and water. If there isn’t enough room on the ground floor, just head upstairs. Ok, hey I’m a native NY’r who spends that cash so my treat. Let’s go ladies! No men, sorry. :p

This little spot is cool. It’s not the BEST spot in Harlem and the prices aren’t amazing but the environment is cool. Pretty good steaks and chicken and the chef cooks the meat right in front of you. The chef by the is a really cool person and very polite. Seating upstairs too. For a quick bite without breaking the pockets it’s pretty cool.

Ordered take out from here since I work in the neighborhood and I enjoyed it a lot. Their steak sandwich platter is amazing. If comes with a salad and a yummy baked potato which I added bacon cheese and sour cream too. The price is a bit high but nothing too bad. Great food. Service so so but either way will definitely be ordering constantly. I cannot believe I have worked in the neighborhood for five years and was missing out on such deliciousness.

BEWARE, LOOKCLOSELYATYOURFOOD. I ordered a steak sandwich and a bake potato. A piece of the brissle from the grill brush was hook into my steak. Instead of a full refund I wass offered a free drink. SMH. I can never go back. I could have died.

Burger Gem in Harlem On my quest for New York’s best burgers, I founded Pee Dee’s right on 125th street. Their menu is on the wall and they offer take out. Its a very casual place and their prices are very cheap! Their signature burger was amazing, I could barely finish my plate! This is a good place for a quick bite or lunch with some friends. I definitely recommend it to my burger lovers!

Great prices and you get real burgers. Not like those thin slabs of meat you get at McDonalds, Burger King, or even Jimbo’s. Big thick pieces of hamburger. They aren’t getting a full five because they give you a salad or coleslaw instead of a drink. When you get a small drink, it’s slightly more expensive than McDonalds but they don’t water down the soda.

English tudor décor & throwback to Tad’s steakhouse. This is a fun alternative to the local rice & beans joints. Plusses: Steaks cooked to order on a flaming grill Delish, giant baked potato and salad(iceberg) come with order Cheap– $ 10.99 for a sirloin steak with potato and salad Steak was perfectly cooked and had a bone in Clean bathroom Minuses: Everything is extra like: Fried onions Collards were definitely frozen Salad was not too fresh and ice-berg Fatty(not in a good way) lower end steak cuts Otherwise, fun old school a la Tad’s experience where you can order your food cafeteria style and bring it to a nice spacious table to have a sitdown meal. $ 16.31

Great value, great food! They are known for their ribs, no surprise! My first time eating at Pee Dee’s was great– the service was quick, food was delicious and you get a lot for your money! I can see why it’s so popular in the neighborhood, given we all can’t hit up 5-star steak houses everyday, this place fills that need for good steak, bbq, anything you could want as a carnivore at a great price. And as many of my past reviews would indicate– I’m a sides girl all the way! Anyplace with good sides is for me! They have it all, mac’n cheese, crab, corn on the cob, loaded mash potatoes, fries, jumbo onion rings, collard greens, and the list goes on and on. And a side note– if the Clinton’s(especially Bill) likes this place, you know it’s good BBQ, c’mon, Billy boy knows his stuff! They’ve been known to order their election staff tons of food during election season as their offices are near by! For fast and convenient BBQ– this is ideal for anyone!

This is one of those quick fast food steak places. Good place to go if you’re lazy and don’t want to cook diner. Cheap way to get some steak. The place was well air-conditioned. The people servicing you were polite. I felt that this place was better than Tad’s Steak, another«fast food» steak place.
