Come here on occasion to watch the game and have a drink in a spot that doesnt feel like a dark tavern. Really laid back spot next to the pier and the intrepid. the service was really good too and I’ll be coming back!

Not good. Way overpriced for a tiny portion. The drinks are expensive(45 dollars for a pitcher of machine made frozen drinks???) but taste decent. And the service… well…the service is cold, callous, and uninviting. Not that I was expected much, but just acknowledge my presence please. Just rude all around. Don’t get sucked in by the view. Go else where.

This place is such a rip off. The food is terrible and expensive. We had what looked like long john silvers for prime rib prices.

This place was HORRIBLE. The food was awful and is priced beyond explanation. Well, actually the explanation is because tourists will pay for it while waiting for the boat tours that depart from the same pier, because there is nowhere else to eat. If you’re hungry, you’re better off staying hungry and keeping money in your wallet. We couldn’t even eat it… AWFUL.

So completely rude and unhelpful. They have so many staff members yet they let a few people do the brunt of the work. They run around crazy while other stand around watching customers. I asked if the veggie burger is vegan and the cook said he doesn’t have time to find out. No one is in line… multiple people doing nothing at all and no one can help the guy at the counter find out what’s in their food. I think the only reason they have business is the location location location.

The only reason we went here was because my daughter was crazy hungry after our Intrepid visit and we picked the first thing we came across. I took the Ceasar salad, it was $ 13, and it was the worst salad I’ve ever had. You get served a bunch of shopped iceberg lettuce leafs shopped with some croutons in a paper box. Even $ 1 as a price would be to stretch it, it is not even a meal. I guess the only way this place survives is the constant flow of tourists from the Circle Line and the Intrepid, because I’m pretty sure the don’t have any returning customers.

Keep your expectations low and you will be OK. It’s a good place to get a mediocre sandwich and a drink but that’s about it. Service leaves much to be desired. At one point during our meal, I had to go to the bar myself to fetch our party another round of drinks. While I really didn’t mind, I shouldn’t have had to do so. They definitely jack up their prices because it has great views of the water and it’s really the only place in the immediate area to get something. Unless you grab something off of one of the food carts which in hindsight I should have done instead. If all you want to do is chill, have drinks, and admire the water, then it’s fine for that. It’s painfully adequate and that’s the best thing I can say about it.

Very laid-back outdoor café directly across from the river. Happens to play really cool relaxing music and has a great Cuban bartender in side who mixes your drinks for you. Circle line sightseeing Cruise, bike rental, public restrooms are located next-door. Great place to hang out. What

It’s the only sit down food place along the water for about at least a half mile, other than Lucky Strike across the street, so if you are hungry and you haven’t come across a hot dog vendor you pretty much have no choice but to pay the ridiculous prices for pre-cut frozen fries and chicken fingers or a meh burger. Otherwise you need to walk to at least tenth avenue for something decent. This place ups the prices because they know you will pay out of hunger and a desire to stay close to the water. They do move quickly and during big events on the pier they let participants wander in and out without any problem, which is much appreciated considering how a few event hours will likely cover their day. Other than that, there isn’t much I can give them more stars for. I’ve been passing by for years and I just can’t wrap my head around a 15 dollar burger that is on par with a $ 5 deli cheeseburger or $ 11 kids chicken fingers and fries that is one step below those you get at a chain restaurant. Sorry folks… you just aren’t that fancy and ripping off the casual wanderer is not cool.

2.5 stars for the place, but it gets bumped up to 4 stars because of the location. This place is right on the water, so you have great views of the Hudson River. Sometimes I wish that on the East River(Manhattan side), there were places like this. Funny how one side of the Island has a completely different feel than the other side. I was riding my bike along the West Side and it was time for a rest stop. I decided to stop here as they had plenty of seating to just sit and relax and soak up the sun. The place is casual on a Saturday afternoon with not many people around. I sidled up to the bar and asked for a margarita. Then, I changed my mind and asked if there was a frozen one available. The bartender nodded his head and got to work. They seem to only be making a margarita for me(bad sign), and the process required 3 or 4 people giving suggestions. Five minutes later, the bartender came back with my slushie mix. He forewarned me and told me it might taste a bit watered down but because of this he added an extra shot of tequila. Cool thanks for the tip. And for $ 12, I walked away with my slushie and sat by the water and enjoyed it. Yup, he was right, it was watered down, bland with no taste, but hey he was honest and that gets bonus points in this day and age of deceit and trickery. I would come back here to show off the Hudson to my out of town friends, but I might pass on the frozen drinks next time…

I didn’t eat the food here, just sat in the chairs in the area. Great place to relax if you’re in the neighborhood and want to relax and enjoy the view. It also has public bathrooms in the area if you really need to go

This is definitely a 5 star for location because you have amazing views to catch the sunsets over the water. There is also a pretty big space where from what people tell me live music happens. That’s the type of laid back vibe I love and I wouldn’t mind spending my hard earned dollars. We came here late at night — well past sunset but decided we wanted to get a drink and relax. It was pretty empty so we had a choice of seats. Went to the bar to order and one of the guys seemed dazed and confused. Had to ask a few times if they had something in stock. Ordered a second round only to be told they ran out of JD. Who runs out of JD?! Didn’t order any food, but from reading the other reviews no one seems impressed. So eat elsewhere and just come here to enjoy the view, chill with friends and people watch

The manager was an absolute jerk. They just straight up try to rip you off. Their sign says $ 5 beers then they charge you $ 8 and claim that you should know you should ask for their smaller beer if you want their advertised deal that doesn’t say anything about a smaller beer.

Have enjoyed a drink at the bar. But service and food is terrible. Went there with a group of 10 hungry friends, and there was staff just standing around talking and hanging out. We asked for if there was table service, they said yes in a minute. We sat and waited 20 minutes without a waiter while a bunch of staff stood around talking! Seriously. We ended up leaving. That was easy a $ 400 table that they just lost. Just poor service and management.

Wonderful view, great place to come after work they have a dj Friday night. Great for burgers, fries, etc a little pricey but worth it for the view. If you are going on the circle line it’s right there. Also you can walk onto the pier to take great photos and take in the sights.

You can’t argue with the location. The view outside is full on picturesque and definitely worthy of seeing & walking out in. Seating safe from rain outdoors is something to be desired but had no hassles myself here. Didn’t get harassed to order anything when I came here for a fashion event that turned out to be cancelled & didn’t order anything so I can’t speak for the food. I’m only rating the view and not getting hassled.

I’ve been to this place several times over the years, it is a great location to kick back with some friends, enjoy some music(sometimes live music) outdoors and catch the sunset over the Hudson. There’s also a intricate sprinkler system as part of Pier 51 which is nice to look at and can keep you cool on hot summer days. The menu is pretty standard, the food is ok, nothing special about the food but the ambience and location is great for summer evenings

BEWARE! IFYOUAREFROMOUTOFTOWN, they will try to take advantage of you. The only thing good about this place is that it’s on the water. My friend from Australia ordered 4 shots. Bartender asks for 120 Euros! I said what I live across the street your trying to charge him in Euros he said oh sorry I did not know you were with him, 40 bucks. He gave the shots in a plastic condiment container, not even a full shot size ‘he ran out of cups’. He completely tried to take advantage of this guy knowing that he was out of town and then tried charging in Euros — out of his mind. Do not go here unless you have to. The food is also horrible. Avoid at all costs this.

Overpriced pier food Irish style, I mean, ridiculously overpriced. $ 22 tuna salads, $ 18 fish & chips, $ 6 just for fries, you get the picture. You won’t hear about any of the chefs getting a TV deal. «Here’s your tap water,» that’s how the house water was served to us. «Tap water… Here’s your tap water,» all the way around the table. So sad it’s funny, comical. Simply sad was the kid’s hot dog, skinny as a tail and surrounded by an oversized bun, and a pale and un-pink color. If you go with anything, go Grilled Chicken Sandwich(the bread is good, chicken moist) and the Buffalo Wings are hot little nubs. You come here for the real estate view, we saw the Concorde plane and naval carrier. Of course you can see those things without eating here. #smartass
