If you’re looking for any semblance of an enjoyable, relaxing, famously Manhattan brunch… then stay far far away from this place. It’s a watering hole for 20 – 30 somethings looking to get absolutely trashed on cheap, overly sugary champagne drinks. The back «patio» area is nothing more than a disguised frat party with tribal club music and servers who refill the alcohol faster than you can think (perhaps to mask the taste of the less-​than-​mediocre food?) again… if you’re looking to get roaring drunk for $ 40 or so, this is the place for you. But, if you’d fancy a brunch with impeccable service, drinks, and food, definitely look elsewhere.

After leaving for over 6 months in NYC I can say that this was one of the worst client services I have ever experienced.
Me and my wife waited for over 20min (standing) for the host which was on the phone. The waiters only talked to us to ask if we had talk to the host, which we clearly didn’t otherwise we would had been seated.
I don’t recommend this place. That are a lot of good places in NYC. You don’t need this one.

I would give this spot more of a 3.5. I’d also only come for boozy brunch. This is not a place to come on a date to enjoy a peaceful conversation, nor a place to bring the fam and kids. This spot has a great 2 hour mimosa special with good food. It’s also fun to come when the weather is nice because you can sit in the back garden and enjoy the sun :). I’ve also only experienced good service here.
Tips: Be on time with your whole group for the 2 hour limit. Put your food orders in when you get there so that you’re not downing drinks on an empty stomach for too long waiting for food to arrive.
FOOD:
–I’ve been here a few times and usually get some sort of egg dish, which has always been good.
–Pulled Pork sliders: comes with 2 large pork sliders. These aren’t your normal-​sized sliders. You can easily split this with someone. It was very good — I’d get this again if I were in a pulled pork mood.
–Tater Tots: They don’t look like tots — they look more crumby/​bready and come with a chipoltle sauce. These were good, but nothing too crazy.
–Fries — there were some amazing fries under the appetizers that were unreal. I’m thinking it had some truffle involvement. The menu online isn’t working right now or else I’d look up the exact name.
–Mac & cheese: Great! comes in a hot skillet with melted cheese. Good to share.
–Drinks: the strawberry and mango mimosas were my favorite ones.

This place fully depends on what you’re after. Having a boozy brunch birthday party with people mostly under 30?! Lit. Looking for an ability to have a conversation over great food and friendly banter? Fail.
Waiters have to be a bit rude because the crowd sucks. I mean, these people are horrible. Anyone that complains about the service was likely one of those drunk assholes treating them like crap. Thus, the service staff has a pre-​defined chip on its shoulder. Seriously, the patrons are a mess by 3pm so jerk-​itude is often justified. Unfortunately, good people get caught in the crossfire.
The food is what you might expect at a turn — up brunch. A bit of a joke but passable.
The drinks were koolaid masquerading as liquor. Every table was a big birthday group. Personally, I will never be back. However, if out of control mid day shenanigans are your thing? Be out.

The food quality here is very poor, my smoked salmon was dry and must not have been stored properly. The photos of the space look way better online than it does in person. For 45 $ for a meal, there are way better options.

Normally, this place is great. Decent food, good drinks, great bday brunch spot. However, my most recent experience was anything but great. This place started my reservation 20 minutes late not due to my late arrival but on them, but expected me to leave on time. They continuously forgot our order and did not give us the unlimited drinks we were paying for.
We were frustrated, but life goes on its boozy brunch. Where we got very mad was close to the end of our reservation. As soon as they put down the check they continuously hustled us to pay even though we asked for mimosas 10 minutes prior. They also refused to let my friend use the Restroom and asked her «why the fuck are you still here.» Then they had the ghetto matrix bouncer attempt to escort us out when wow shocker we were only there 5 minutes after our boozy brunch ending time…
Do not go to this place if you want good service. They will treat you shit. I mean lets me honest they actually asked us «why the fuck are we still here» Don’t come here if you don’t have to.

Paradou has been my friends birthday brunch of choice for many years now! You have to take the bottomless brunch scene for what it is, and just keep drinking, and the food will taste better and the often poor service will seem irrelevant! On the contrary (or maybe I got drunk too fast) I was happy with the food and the service! We had a group of 12, so understandably a handful for any waiter, but ours was great! He was clearly seasoned because he pressured us to get food orders in, and drinks filled with the 2 hour limit. With two friends birthdays, we asked to go a bit above and beyond with the birthday treats, adding sparklers and the works, and they were so willing to help us out, he even took them off the bill!

Brunch here is bomb!!! Seriously good eats, and beautiful back dining room. It’s «cozy» but open and sun room peppered by string lights, plants, and chandeliers hanging above. Place gets super packed and long waits, but worth it when inside. (It’s meatpacking, par for the course). Mid 20’s-late 30’s demographic. Not a baby and stroller place at all. We ended up sitting at the bar, mimosas flowing without hassle, thanks to our awesome bartenders. DJ plays great mix of old and new school music. Super friendly and fun staff. Place is dope, I’d recommend it if you want a brunch somewhere casual but still trendy.

I’ll preface this review my saying I am a frequent brunch goer who has been to numerous bottomless brunches in Manhattan; and I rarely leave a poor review.
My friend and I were looking for a great bottomless brunch place to try. I made a reservation for 2 for a Saturday afternoon about a week in advance. The manager emailed and said they had had a cancellation and they would be able to accommodate us. Guess I’m a newbie but if you want to eat here make your reservations more than a week in advance.
We were sat in the front room of the restaurant which I could have cared less about since we made our reservation late. Very small, loud and crowded area; maybe three tables and the bar rail. Unfortunately our table was right next to the line for the bathroom and the line to go upstairs to the other dining room. Just an FYI only one unisex bathroom for the whole place. Throughout our entire meal there were lines of 20 something girls dressed like they were going to the club bumping into our table as we were attempting to enjoy our meal.
As for the food… we ordered the bottomless brunch. If you have a group of 1 – 7 it’s $ 30 bottomless champagne drinks. I ordered the pulled pork sliders and my friend got the burger. Both just mediocre; nothing special. Drinks were super super strong! I wasn’t impressed with the service either. We had to ask multiple times to get our drinks refilled. What’s the point of bottomless brunch if I can see the bottom of my drink? We stayed for about an hour before we couldn’t take it anymore and asked for the check. When it came time to pay we paid in cash. I guess the server thought he was keeping the rest (that’s a funny joke considering the poor service). We waited and had to ask for our change, which we did not even receive the full amount back. In the end we couldn’t have ran out of there fast enough.
Overall, we will not be returning to Paradou. Maybe the scene just isn’t for us but putting that aside, the service was poor and the food just alright. If you’re into the loud club-​like atmosphere where you can’t have a conversation with your neighbor or you want to get really drunk at a decent Manhattan price, this is the place for you.

Service was A+. But the food was not bad and not good it was right in the middle. The reason im giving it 4 stars is because of the «unlimited mimosas»!!!

Every place in this ‘it’ zone of manhattan has a shelf life. Some places get lucky, and have one of 10+ years. Paradou has had a great run, but it’s pretty much at the end of it’s rope. For those of you considering coming here, just go somewhere else and wait it out till the inevitable rebranding/​change in management.
Starting off the failure, the Sangria. Which basically could be considered 2 buck chuck with some extra sugar thrown in there to somehow passes as drinkable. Friends trust me, that sparkling watermelon flavor is probably from a jolly rancher they added in there and let sit for a few hours.
Next up, the Tuna Tartare. The positive, I didn’t get sick the next day, so at least they used proper ingredients. That’s it, the only positive. The server claimed there was some fancy Uni somewhere in the presentation. Not sure where it went. Maybe they threw it in the sangria.
The burger was edible, in that, it was like a McDonalds Big Mac. So, hey, I mean, that isn’t bad. But at these prices… cmon now.
I have to say the service was fine, and given the crowds of leggy and loud twenty-​somethings, they do a really good job handling all of it.
But you can’t serve bad food and bad drinks in a popular area of manhattan and get away with it for long, and it’s pretty clear that time is almost up on this place. It’s too bad, i’ve had good memories here from years past.

In contrast to the slew of uncensored comments about Paradou’s poor service standards, I would like to announce that there ARE in fact awesome waiters here who tried to make dinner as pleasant as possible for me and my friend! I did find it odd that our server discouraged us from getting the mimosas since they were supposedly watered down (according to him), but hey, why not order drinks worth paying for, right?
Us two hungry girls ended up sharing the tots, brussels sprouts, and the mac and cheese… since we were trying to save space for the pitcher of bellini — the real star of the show! You can’t go wrong with homey side dishes like the ones we ordered, so naturally, we enjoyed all of them. I do wish we had the appetite for a main course, but I’ll save that review for my next trip back when I make a reservation for brunch.

Note to the management: You might want to update the menu on your website since it displays a cocktail list that is not currently offered at the restaurant. Also, the prices online are misleading– I thought we would be paying $ 30 for a pitcher of cocktails, not $ 40.

Had a great time with my Unilocal faves. Came for brunch. The Mgr was very accommodating and polite. The server was cool and brought our food /​bottles of Champagne out quickly. It’s a champagne brunch only-​so options for anything else aren’t happening. Nice space in the back– LOUD space in the back. The bigger your group the better. Music off an iPod sets the mood. It’s like a frat house meets a backyard BBQ with friendly strangers. Everyone is chill– the dress is causal given the area (meat packing) and the space is tight. Got a big as$ or belly? Better suck it in cause space it limited. My lobster was really good– my company was better. Would come back. One unisex bathroom where the wait can be painful.

I’ve fallen victim to the many subdued, buffet-​styled, unlimited mimosa brunches in Weschester and The Bronx, for too long. But, it’s a different bowl of wax at Paradou.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect from having Brunch here. Yes, I heard quite a bit about the fist pumping music and the unlimited mimosas. But, it’s quite different hearing about it and not experiencing all the fun yourself. With a narrow and simple painted brick design, Paradou greets you with a bar and few tables at the front of the house. My party and I, planned to have Brunch in the main dining room, towards the back.
Brunch menu was minimalist, yet, rich at the same time. Our table had an assortment of nice brunch items, which some of us shared amongst each other: I had ½ of a Lobster Slider– which was prepared wonderfully, with like a pin-​drop of mayo (this was one exception to my rule and preparation worked to my advantage. Since I’m not a fan of mayo, it did not overpower the delicate taste of the lobster), Lamb Burger– though not mine, I had a bite and was fantastic and my Tuna Niçoise salad. Our server was on his toes and actually came to our table to make sure if everything was fine. Though compact in size, Paradou is one hot mess that’s cool and funky-​through and through.
If you’re looking for that particular brunch where you’d want to chillax, Paradou ain’t it! Let me tell you, Paradou gets down— and up AND in between! During all that eating and drinking, there are patrons who’re twerking with other patrons, or better yet, twerking with the restaurant staff, and some dancing on tables and chairs. People… It’s all good up in here! Really!
Bottomless Brunches have almost become a freaking art form. Everybody wants to do it. And everybody wants to be part of it. Then again, it just wouldn’t be Brunch without Unlimited Mimosas. Shout out to Pat, Sunshine, Jason and Ruthy, some who I met for the first time-​and for having such a blast in the middle of the day at Paradou’s Brunch.

Paradou can be a hit or miss in both atmosphere and food. If you’re seated towards the front and order, ‘the wrong entrée’, you will be experiencing a miss, if you ask to be seated towards the back and order what I would say is, ‘the right entrée’, you’re provided with a loud music dance party with a satisfying tasty meal that results imo as a hit.
On this, one of my many visits, I was yet again handed a hit. I have had many experiences here, many, and this one can be added as another hit of a great time. I generally know what to order when coming here, so I can leave the establishment filled with a decent meal, which on this day was the Lamb Burger with figs and goat cheese spread, sooo good! Plus, enjoy my fill of many bottles of ‘champagne’, in this case inexpensive sparkling wines within a two hour time limit.
What I enjoy about Paradou is that 8 times out of 10 brunch always and I mean always ends up with people dancing on chairs and tables, so funny and so much fun to watch. On this afternoon, aside from the usual girls dancing and a few boys dancing on tables, I had the opportunity to see the biggest guy I’ve ever seen twerk with the quickness of ease. Yo’, just imagine say a big bearded Joey Fatone standing on a chair towards the back corner of the restaurant, hands against the wall and twerking. He did it so well to whatever trap song that was playing that we were asking him to please do it again… he refused, lol! We were thoroughly entertained with all the shenanigans to say the least.
I know I should be tired of spots like this and just deal with the quaint all you can eat buffets or I should be in search of a restaurant mainly for the food; there are plenty of spots like that all over. But my mission for this afternoons, dragged through the wee hours of the night event, was clearly to have a freaking good time. And that I did with a few of my Unilocal peeps aka Mercedes, Sunshine, Ruthy and Jason, that included so much fun, talk, laughter, good music, lots of ‘champs’ and dancing.
Mission Accomplished!

I like going to brunch a lot, however I’ve only done so in the Bronx — today’s outing was my first brunch in Manhattan. I had the good fortune of meeting up with some of my Unilocal friends which made it all the more special.
Walking into Paradou, you’re given the impression that it’s a small place. There’s a bar to your left with a few tables to your right. However, if you keep walking you’re led into a large back room with additional seating. In many ways, Paradou epitomizes brunch in Manhattan: it’s loud, there’s house music blasting, bottomless drinks, people getting up and dancing from time to time (staff included), and an overall carefree atmosphere. If I had to describe the atmosphere in one word I would have to say «twerk». I was not participating in the twerking myself but I saw a lot of it around me and it was definitely fun to watch.
The food is good, but nothing to write home about. For $ 35 we got one brunch entrée and unlimited champagne and mimosas. My omelette contained thick-​cut bacon, andouille, and goat cheese — the flavors were great but the omelette was a tad too small. It came paired with a side salad and roasted potatoes — basic but good. In all honesty, you don’t come to a place like Paradou for the food, it’s really more about the day drinking (and twerking of course). Service was pretty good, you’re given a 2 hour time limit to sit so they’re sure not to forget you ;-)
I’m not 100% sold with the brunch experience that Paradou offers, but it was an experience nonetheless and I’m glad I got to finally meet up with some of my Unilocal friends. =)

Paradou is the perfect brunch place to celebrate a birthday. The ambience is really nice, the champagne given for the bottomless brunch is plentiful, however the food is nothing amazing compared to other places in New York. The reason we chose this place is because they allowed a reservation for 20 people and for 45 $ you get an entrée and unlimited mimosas and belinis. It’s an easy and great choice when you’re that big of a group. I would definitely return for another celebration, although I wouldn’t run back for the food.

My friend and I came here for brunch. We got here after 2 so the place is packed. We were seated at the bar which worked out even better because the unlimited champagne cocktails just kept coming :) Food is tasty, our bartender is very sweet and attentive. My favorite part is that they have different variety of flavors.

My friends and I came ere on a Sunday for brunch and our über driver took sooo long to get there we were 3hrs late. Luckily they still took us but we had only one hr to eat and drink the bottomless cocktails. The lobster sliders I had were great and my friends said there food was great as well, but our waiter Literally did not say 1 word to us. He asked for our Oder by signaling to each of us… He also slammed the pitcher when we ordered the drinks. I would have gave 5 stars if it wasn’t for him.

I’ve never given a place 1 star and I hope that I don’t have to ever do this again.
Horrendous service. I came with a group of friends on Sunday at 11:30am for the bottomless mimosas brunch. The mimosas were watered down so much that I actually had to ask the server, politely if we could have a replacement. He brought a replacement and it was exactly the same. It’s actually impossible to screw up orange juice and champagne and the bartender managed to do so. Our server was so incredibly rude that I was in shock about how someone could be so heinous. Who manages this restaurant? It’s a shame that people queue up to have bottomless mimosas here. It’s probably a one time type of thing, there’s no way that someone with taste could visit this place and come again. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, seriously.

Paradou? ParaDON’T. I came here for a boozy brunch for a friend’s birthday and we had a nice time, but not because Paradou was anything spectacular. I live in the neighborhood and there are so many other better places to go.
The food was bland at best.
The service was slow (1:30 resie, didn’t get food until about 3).
The back room was overcrowded and SO noisy (not fun vibes noisy, but noisy as in we couldn’t even talk to each other).
As other reviewers have said, you will be rushed out with no notice as soon as you pay your bill. My recommendation would be to hang onto the check until you finish your drinks because once you pay, they want you out the door.
And there is one toilet for the entire restaurant — whoever thought a bottomless brunch spot with ONE bathroom (for guys and girls) was a good idea didn’t think things through. Be prepared to wait about 30 minutes.

Came highly recommended from a co-​worker who was here with a group of family/​friends… He raved about this place! I, unfortunately, was a little disappointed. I dunno… Here’s why.
Our reservation was for 11:15 am (We passed up the 11:00 am slot because of the commute from Jersey) When we arrived at 11:00, 15 minutes early, we were greeted and advised that we couldn’t be accommodated just yet because they weren’t ready, which made sense. The kicker was, we were also pretty much told that we should wait 15 minutes elsewhere…(Although no one was in the restaurant just yet and it was cold.) This is really a small deal, but certainly left a bad taste in my friends’ mouth.
The two waiters were both really friendly, pleasant.
The menu was scarce, had a few items on it, but nothing that really jumped out at me as excited. I ordered the steak and eggs– steak was a little cold, eggs were okay. Potatoes were fantastic!
My girlfriends all had the bottomless mimosas… all of which they said were less than desirable… The champagne just wasn’t the greatest. All in all, I guess my hopes were just a little high, considering we each spent about $ 57 on a brunch that was just meh…

Paradou is one of the most popular brunch places in the city and I was not impressed after attending a boozy brunch on Saturday.
We sat in the back garden area which was tiny and not at all what I expected from the pictures. The food was mediocre and the drink selection wasn’t that great either, I switched to plain champane and we had to ask the waiter several times for refills.
This place has ONE bathroom for the entire establishment which makes absolutely no sense for a restaurant in NYC. When our time was up a very rude woman came along screaming that our time was over and started to take away our beverages that we just paid for. Typically at most decent brunch places (like Revel next door), they will let you take your drinks to the bar where you can finish. We were packing up our things and did not deserve such a rude dismissal from the staff. Paradou definitely is not one of the best brunch places I’ve been to and it definitely doesn’t live up to the hype.

Came here on a Sunday at 3:30pm with a party of 13 for unlimited mimosas and to experience my first NYC «Brunch Party». When we arrived there were already 2 other parties waiting– MAKE SURE YOU MAKE RESERVATIONS! Total came out to $ 58 for unlimited mimosa, entrée, and tip. We all went with the Unlimited Champagne Cocktail Brunch Pre Fixe menu, also comes with desserts for the group!
Venue is really, really small, and packed tightly. There’s barely any room to roam around. Music is great, but really wish they had better speakers. Service is ok, some waiters are great, some are super rude. Seems really stressful working there.
Mimosa selection is nice: your choice of standard OJ, bellini, strawberry, raspberry, and mango. Strawberry was my favorite. You WILL get drunk, lol. Notable dishes from our party: Wake & Bake (eggs, cheesy «grits», sausage — personally, a great combo with the mimosas), Pulled Pork Sliders, and the Really Big Burger.
Overall, I would come back, but would love to find a bigger, more spacious brunch party spot!

I couldnt have asked for more for my birthday. They did such a great job, the table was ready immediately, and were very accommodating with my constant number changes. The food was good, and there was always full drinks at all time

Ok, we did wait over 25 minutes for the table-​with a reservation. but then again is brunch, on Sunday, in the meatpacking district…
The rest? FANTASTIC. We were about 13, celebrating my friend’s birthday. Got the unlimited booze brunch.
Bottom line: Lots of alcohol in our drinks, good food, and great, outstanding, friendly service!
The space is beautiful as well.
The only downside: they DO enforce the 2 hour rule per reservation, and they will let you know is time to go! lol!

I am obviously a huge proponent of Unilocal,and try to avoid venturing to places below a 4 star review. My friend wanted to have her birthday party here a few weeks ago, but I actually talked her out of it because this place doesn’t have a great rep given its 3 star rating. I found myself here this past weekend with my crazy body-​shot taking friends.
We ended up coming here at 11:00AM aka the earliest brunch I have ever been to. I was somewhat shaking at brunch given my state of mind having been out til 3:00 AM the night before so naturally I started drinking champagne even before my water.
The place is a really awesome atmosphere — it feels like you’re outside but JK YOU’RE NOT!!! (CRAZY I know)
So we used this as our day-​drinking pregame. According to my phone, we began taking body shots at 2:00 PM (3 hours after we started drinking at Paradou) so I think that should show that Paradou did the job of helping get us significantly f**ked up. We were definitely the most obnoxious people there, but also: whatever. I had the pork sliders and they were

Yeah, don’t come here if you want «a great dining and service experience» on a Saturday afternoon as there are going to be a ton of people making the most out of their bottomless brunch, but if you are in a large party looking to have a boozy good time, this is a great choice.

Good food but the service was terrible.
There was a girl with a Mohawk who ruined out brunch twice! She was rude and made us feel uncomfortable.
Afterwards, she tried to start a fight with the birthday girl for no reason. Unfortunately, one employee brings a place down…

It’s cramped in here, and the bathroom smells like marijuana.
Cute little spot. I heard there was some garden area, but it seemed like too much of a hassle to get to. The whole place was too small. When you walk in its narrow and there’s a bar to your left, then tables to the right along the wall.
We had reservations for 3 and were seated at a two person table. It was uncomfortable with all of our water glasses, coffee cups, condiments, silverware, and entrees. We were also super close to the people next to us with their wild child that kept throwing her fork on the floor, and screaming. No thank you. That shit was not cute.
The brunch menu looked alright. I went with Mac and cheese, but wished I got an egg dish after I ordered. They didn’t have any side salads on the menu, but our server offered to make one for me at half the price of the sides, which were about $ 8. That was pretty cool.
The Mac and cheese was okay, very greasy. I liked my salad, it was just some greens dressed in a vinegarette. $ 4 was too high for that thing.
The bathroom has no ventilation, and it is tiny. I’m 100% sure the person ahead of me smoked a bowl in there. I did not have a pleasant experience in there.

I will preface this review by saying how much I do not like almost anything in meatpacking. To me, everyone is trying way to hard. For what, I’m not sure, but its something that gets picked up on almost instantaneously.
So when we had reservations, yet still had to wait an hour, it was to be expected. We grabbed a drink and relaxed outside and, since it was a beautiful day I really didn’t mind.
Yes, inside does look like somebody decided to throw a dinner (or maybe brunch) party inside the studio of their studio apartment (do studio’s even really have kitchen’s?) However, ironically, once you’re seated you have just as much, if not more room than many other eatery’s in this fine city.
The crowd was shit. It was a mix of young yuppies (again, to be expected in the neighborhood) however we were with a large party (about 10 people) so it really didnt matter who else was there. Im not sure who told any of the other reviewers that theres a 30 dollar brunch, but by the time everything was said and done it was 60 pp.
Food was nothing special.
I subtracted one star since I couldn’t order a bloody mary. If I cant order a good drink, it is moot whether or not the food is quality. They have no liquor license. How do you have brunch with no liquor license? When I asked the waiter this, he explained that it was to prevent asshole’s from being asshole’s while at Paradou. While I can respect this on some level, it prevents non-asshole’s such as myself from getting a buzz. (I cant drink more than 1 bellini/​mimosa/​anyotherfruitygirlbeverage without getting a massive headache)
All in all it was a decent experience, but I doubt I would return.

For my 400^th review (w00t!) I thought I would save it for a UYE and here it is! 2 – 3 stars for the restaurant, 5+ stars for the company!
I met at Paradou with Unilocalers Jenn (AKA «Boo»), Alex + his Texas Bell and many others to up the antics and create the loudest table in the restaurant (lezzbe real, credit to Eva for most of this!)
Knowing ahead of time there was only one thing for vegans to eat (and that we had to scrap together from a vegetarian dish with aoili) I had a quick small bite before coming in. I was here mostly for the company and booze — though perhaps not in that order…
Their mimosas and bellinis are on point, and they constantly are dropping by new pitchers.
Pros:
+ Great mimosas
+ Fast service
+ Large tables
Cons:
— Not vegetarian /​vegan oriented at all
— Pricey for only a 90-​minute AYCD brunch (most are 2 hours)
— Server denied us one last pitcher 10 minutes before the 90 minutes so we couldn’t have one last drink, saying our time was almost up… Keyword: Almost.
I probably wont be coming back, instead I’d opt for a restaurant with more of an open /​modern-​minded menu geared towards serving all it’s potential patrons, and with a longer brunch for a fraction of the price.

Rolled in 10 deep for the fixed price boozy brunch at 11AM sharp, and Paradou was already buzzing. The enclosed back courtyard, verdant with flora and rustic charm, was warmly lit from inside and out on a dreary winter morning. As we waited for the stragglers in the group, we partook of a veritable plethora of bubbly libations. They ranged in shade from pale peach to bright pink and in flavor from sickly sweet to sugar bomb, but they packed a serious punch.
I selected the duck Reuben, requesting an over easy egg addition to the sandwich. The country bread was buttered and toasted on the grill. Crispy of skin and tender of flesh, the duck was impeccable. The runny egg set off the choucroute perfectly. My neighbors sampled the poached pear salad, oeufs paradou (poached eggs on salmon), and the wake and bake. All were delighted with their selections, with the caveat that certain entrees offered picayune portions.
Our server provided an 11 minute warning as our two hours wound down. When the clock struck 1PM, much to our collective dismay, we were ejected from the ball and transformed into pumpkins. By this point, the place was a jam packed shove fest and the bathroom line was 15 deep. We were sad to bid Paradou adieu, but on to revel at the next destination.

Charming: The space is so bright, and pretty. A nice way to spend your Saturday afternoon with beautiful people (heart you guys). The noise level was up there, it might be the unlimited drinks or just the fact that we were turnt up!
Decent service. They were quick to fill up the mimosas, bellinis and sparkling wine aka «champagne.»
The food was average. I wish there was more on my plate (and that’s coming from a person who eats small portions).
If your vegetarian you’ll have only one dish to choose from, so not really worth the price in my opinion. Their hush puppies were delicious though.

Ahh Paradou… Of all the boozy brunch places in the city, Paradou is definitely my favorite. Two hours of unlimited champagne for $ 35 is pretty hard to beat, and decent champagne at that.
With a courtyard type setting, Paradou is a Sunday morning paradise filled with Saturday night revelers looking to keep the party going or those simply looking to have a fun afternoon of day drinking. The house music in the background sees to it that you don’t think for a second to slow that drinking down…
The food is good, but not as good as the menu implies. That being said, I had an order of the French toast and it was just ok. Definitely nothing special.
The draw to Paradou is the brunch scene and the unlimited champagne. Whether mimosas or plain champagne, they flow like water without you having to remind the waiter. It’s a joyful atmosphere and everyone is having a good time. No craziness, no degenerates, just mid day fun in a great part of town. This, for me, is the grand champ of boozy brunches in the city in terms of bang for your buck.

The place is insanely small and it is clear that Paradou over books. There were about 20 too many people. Watching the servers literally squeeze around tables is horrifying — and it is a wonder that no one got coffee spilled all over them.
As for my personal experience, there was a simple miscommunication between two servers as to where to seat my party of 8. This small miscommunication, however, made everyone feel so awkward. Server A sat us without realizing there was not enough room to fit everyone at the table and then left us. Server B came over and told us we could push together an additional table, and then left. Then Server A comes over, looks at us and says «well, it looks like you just did whatever you wanted…» It was insanely awkward, and his tone was unnecessarily rude. It was presumptuous to assume we would simply alter seating.
The food was less than mediocre — FAR LESS. I ordered a duck reuben. It was gross. I didn’t finish it and didn’t want to take the left overs home. The taters were slimy. Those who ordered omelettes got very small, over cooked eggs.
The burgers were actually pretty good and the servers kept the unlimited champagne going but alcohol was not going to distract or trick me into thinking this was even an «ok» brunch.

You wanna have house music blasting and unlimited champagne, bellinis or mimosas flowing at 2:00pm on Saturday or Sunday afternoon? Well if so, this is the place to be.
I kid you not, I have left here on numerous occasions with different groups of friends, leaving the restaurant dancing in the streets in the middle of the afternoon, people stumbling unable to walk, people doing face plants from being so inebriated and ending up in the hospital and everyone, except me of course, acting a fool and all this before 3:00pm…good times, great memories… lol!
On one occasion when my crew sat down for our reservation at 1pm in the beautiful enclosed back garden area, there was a group of about 8 ppl celebrating a birthday and clearly already drunk, dancing on chairs and making a spectacle, but then again who wasn’t. This one guy within the group, picks up Paradou’s displayed 2 foot tall bottle of Vueve Cliqout and proceeds to dance around with it and then open the darn thing! Great! Quality champagne for all! Nice! I took the liberty of pricing the 2ft tall bottle for the sake of this review and it turns out that a 6 litre Methusalah retails for approx $ 800. So with a mark up of say 75%-100%, were saying a dollar amount of about $ 1400-​$ 1600 more or less? Not a bad day for Paradou profit-​wise.
Back to the point of this review. Paradou’s food is pretty good. They used to offer a lamb burger with feta cheese spread served on ciabatta which was out of this world, but they took it off the menu. Their staple duck dishes are very flavorful. The Duck Reuben is awesome. I’ve had the Shaksuka-​poached eggs baked in a tomato sauce; the Wake and Bake — poached eggs served with polenta; Oeufs Paradou which is smoked salmon with poached eggs, their version of Eggs Benedict. Everything I’ve had for brunch has been good and they also offer creative dinner options, which I have yet to try. The only change I would like to see during brunch is adding a variety to their choice of potato, rather than just fingerlings.
One other note, which is a huge negative, there is only one bathroom. Offering AYCD with one bathroom for everyone could turn into a disaster, otherwise everything else is worth it.

Restaurant à tendance gastronomie française à Newyork (comme beaucoup d’ailleurs) situé au niveau carrefour le plus connu de little west side. En face du fameux Pastis et pas très loin des boites de nuit. Le jardin est ouvert toute l’année, chauffé en période de froideur. Ambiance calme et intimiste de jardin (petites bougies, tables en bois, verdure). La carte n’est pas très variée mais la qualité est bonne quoique un peu cher tout de même pour ce que c’est. Bonne adresse de resto dans le coin!
