Just received my first pair of custom orthotics and they’re wonderful (and I haven’t even broken them in yet). Spencer Weisbond is great. The consultation was informative and pressure free. Time will tell how well they work after some time, but so far, they’re great.

Spencer is very knowledgeable and helpful. He knows his information on feet! He’s also very pleasant to be around and flexible about talking to whoever you’re seeing about your foot situation. I have flat feet and within a few weeks he made a custom pair of orthotic inserts for me to use to correct the problem. After wearing them for a week they were rubbing on my heels, so I called him and he told me to come the same day and that he would fix it. He fixed the problem within minutes and I was on my way. My sweet dog ate my 12 year old custom orthotics. I turned to Unilocal to find the «best» so I could replace them and found Orthotic Solutions. Wish i found this man years ago he would a saved me a lot of money on orthotics. I spend thousand of dollars on several orthotics that never helped me. Spencer hands down is the Michael Jordan of orthotics i wouldn’t go any where else. He has changed my life and now i am enjoying life pain free.

All the reviews of Spencer’s work are true. A master craftsman, a gentleman, an honest person, I heartily recommend him. Especially over the «leading «foot specialty shop on Park Avenue, who were very uninterested in the problems I had with their much more expensive orthotics. Spencer is the one to go to first… you won’t have to go elsewhere!

I was recommended to Orthotic Solutions by a friend who recently had orthotics made by Spencer. I don’t currently live locally, and I was only going to be in town for a week, so I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get the custom orthotics that my friend raved about. However, when I called Spencer, explained my needs and time limitations to him, he was very accommodating and told me he would get the job done by the time I needed to leave. And he did! He is extremely knowledgable, friendly, honest and affordable too. If I need another pair in the future, Spencer told me I could just send the molds to him and he’ll make another set and send them back to me — great customer service! I highly recommend Orthotic Solutions, there’s no where else I would go, I feel very fortunate to have been referred here.

As a twenty something Orthotics weren’t in my vocabulary but a friend in the medical field strongly suggested I seek support for my flat feet. I visited a well regarded podiatrist, however I was truly underwhelmed with his proposal to create an insole for me ie outsource to a large mail order company.
Then I found Orthotic Solutions. Spencer won me over in his zero pressure consultation, knowledge, and clear care for his customers and craft. He created the foot support I didn’t realize I was lacking — now hiking and city walking are enjoyable. Though there are many 5 star reviews — thought I’d add my 2 cents bc I really appreciated the work that Spencer did for me. He was able to turn around custom running orthotics for me in 2 weeks. This was critical because I decided at the last minute — 1 month before the NYC marathon — to get custom insoles made to offset pain in my ankles due to pronation. The end product was solid — they did offset the pain in my ankles — and I was able to break them in before the marathon! Would absolutely recommend.

This is my second pair of orthotics and OH MAN what an improvement. My first pair didn’t do the trick at all and moved my whole body out of alignment. Then, I came to spencer and found a pair of orthotics that fixed my posture. When I had trouble with my orthotics and they needed to be adjusted, spencer was accessible on multiple occasions. I highly recommend him.

My experience with Spencer at Orthotics Solutions was 100% positive. I’ve been having foot problems and two of my doctors (neither were podiatrists) suggested I «try» getting orthotics to see if they would help. When I told Spencer about my problems he impressed upon me the need to see a podiatrist for a better diagnosis before he would make the orthotics. He examined my feet and, without charging, made a customized change to my regular insole to see if it would help, which it seems to have. I was as impressed with what Spencer didn’t do (make orthotics prematurely) as with his thoroughness and professionalism. I recommend Orthotics Solutions for your orthotics needs.

I was having a lot of foot pain but did not want surgery foot so I called Orthotic Solutions and had a consultation. Spencer was so knowledgeable about the anatomy of my foot and the tendons. He made me a temporary solution right there on the spot to help me out while my orthotics were being made! He was so helpful and non pushy and not full of B*S like so many health care providers out there. The Orthotic itself is way more supportive than any other orthotic I have ever had from a DPM even after they added padding and other supports. This orthotic supports my flat foot adds superior comfort to my hyper mobile foot and bunions. He I am now walking on what feels like new feet, woo hoo!

I’d been having pain in my feet and legs, and happen to be enlisting in the army soon, so after the free initial visit and around only $ 300 (much lower price than others in the area!) I had my custom orthotics and was ready to go!
True to his word, when I was having issues with them, Spencer told me to come back in that day and free of charge helped reshape the orthotics.

I’ve been getting custom orthotics for the past 15 years from various vendors so I’ve had varied customer experiences. I can say confidently, after now having had and worn my orthotics for over a month, that this is one of the best quality orthotics I’ve ever had. I found Spencer through Unilocal reviews and I can corroborate the praise and top rating that he has received. He is very knowledgeable about feet/​orthotics and astutely observes how you walk and plant your feet to ensure he crafts a mold that will best support your arch. He even goes as far to give you the mold so the process for ordering additional orthotics is made easier. I’ve never had this done before and I definitely appreciate it.
The turnaround from your first visit and when you get your orthotics is also pretty quick. It was about two weeks or so. Price was standard for orthotics in the $ 300 range, but he offers a discount if you get a second pair.
Definitely recommend him if you’re looking for a new pair of orthotics.

I was given some generic orthotics from my chiropractor, but they bothered my feet when I ran, so I eventually stopped using them, and all of the attempts at staying injury free from running was sliding away as I was building up mileage.
A runner in the NYRR classes, I asked my coach if she had suggestions on who to see to get orthotics. She actually recalled another student of hers from a previous class who had issues with orthotics but got it solved when her dog ate her existing orthotics and she came to Orthotic Solutions and had great success with her new orthotics.
That was enough for me to make the call to Orthotic Solutions and schedule my appointment. Spencer was really nice on the phone and making an appointment for a consultation was super easy. He explained to me the pricing structure briefly over the phone and said he would explain in more detail when I came in for my consultation.
Fast forward to the day of my consultation. Spencer makes the orthotics in house so you walk into the office area and right behind the door is his workshop. Spencer took the time to evaluate my feet from the front, side, top, and bottom. He measured, he checked flexibility, and he asked me to fill out a detailed questionnaire about why I came in for orthotics. He was able to determine right away some of my habits like the fact that I walk barefoot in my home and I wear shoes with a narrower toe box than my foot should be in (guilty as charged for both) without me even telling him.
I even brought in my running shoes and he was able to evaluate them if they were the right ones for me, and recommended some steps I could take to help alleviate some of the pain points I’ve been dealing with just from walking around all over the city, which I’ve since taken and it’s helped tremendously!
After the consultation, he showed me the different types of orthotics he makes and so I was aware of his offerings. He didn’t pressure me into getting the orthotics, but I wanted to not wait, so I decided to go ahead with the sports orthotics. He then took a mold of my foot, again taking the time to ensure it was correct). Within a week’s time my orthotics were ready.
A week later, running shoes in hand, I back to pick up my orthotics. Spencer showed me how to put them in my sneakers, and made me try them on and walk around to ensure fit. He made a few adjustments on the spot based on my level of comfort and then instructed me to increase the wear time gradually as they are corrective devices my body needs to adjust to. He even handed me my feet molds for any time I need future orthotics. The orthotics themselves are well constructed and made, and firm so I know they’ll hold up in the long run unlike my other ones in the past.
The great thing about Spencer is that any time I need adjustments I can give him a call and get it fixed. Also if need other orthotics I can always come back and order them (the more you order through him the cheaper they get).
For anyone looking into orthotics, I highly recommend Spencer for your orthotic needs!

A doctor recommended that I purchase orthotics years ago, but the only ones I could find were too thick for ballet flats and other everyday shoes. I gave up on the idea of orthotics, and for that, I suffered. My foot issues significantly got worse this past year.
I did a Unilocal search for orthotics, and stumbled across Orthotic Solutions. I was intrigued by the review that said Spencer could design orthotics thin enough for even Tory Burch flats. I immediately made an appointment.
Spencer and Arnie are absolutely wonderful — kind, professional and prompt. The process required 2 visits 2 weeks apart. Spencer creates the orthotics by hand and customized to your foot. In contrast, most podiatrists and doctors take a mold and ship it to a lab. Spencer omits the middle man, creates the products himself in his office and charges a fair price for his services.
I can’t recommend Orthotics Solutions highly enough!
