History
Established in 1974.
Named for the Greenwich Village church that served as its first home, the music organization encompasses the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, St. Luke’s Arts Education, The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, and St. Luke’s Collection recordings.
Orchestra of St. Luke’s is a group of 21 virtuoso artists who perform nationally and internationally, and make up the core of St. Luke’s. Formed in 1974, the Chamber Ensemble performs a diverse array of programs, exhibiting the versatility and cohesiveness that have become St. Luke’s hallmarks. The Ensemble currently performs annual series at The Morgan Library & Museum and Brooklyn Museum.

Manager
Katy Clark is the newly-appointed Executive Director for the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and lead Project Manager of the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Clark is an Alumni of the American Symphony Orchestra League’s Orchestra Management Fellowship Program during which time she worked at the Aspen Music Festival and School, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
Between 1994 and 1999, Clark was a violinist with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London, and has performed with a number of ensembles including the Scottish and English Chamber Orchestras, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, and the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia. She has also had an active career as an educator, teaching violin and coaching chamber music at St. Paul’s School in London and at Temple University Music Prep in Philadelphia.
