They are beyond rude. They literally pretended not to be able to speak English when I was just trying to ask a question. They claim to pick up or drop off laundry but never do. They once told me I live too far away and they are the closest laundromat to my apartment. I can’t express how rude these people are. I recommend not supporting this business.

Do not go here. I am not typically picky about these things, but they destroy shirt buttons like it is their job.
I have mentioned it to them in the past, but it continues to happen. Unfortunate because they are very convenient to me, but I have learned my lesson.

Do not go here for dry cleaning! My clothes came back with pieces of food on them and holes. The stains were still there. Usually dry cleaners make your clothes look new again. I had to throw these out.

They don’t do a great job with pressing. My button-​down blouse had distinct button marks all the way down the back of the blouse — which means they ironed without unbuttoning the blouse, and the arms was pressed flat too. It’s around the corner from my apartment so I will still occasionally use Orchard Cleaners for convenience but I am not thrilled with this place. I’m welcoming recommendations on better ones in the area.

This review is for the dry-​clean and wash-​and-​press service. I’ve been coming here for more than a year now and everything has been going pretty good… until one day when I went in to pick up 2 shirts — 1 wash-​and-​press and the other dry-​clean. They said it was already picked up when I arrived with my ticket. I tried disputing it because I had my ticket. Not only did the 2 ladies there did not apologize for losing my 2 expensive shirts, they accused me of picking it up when I had my ticket. Customer Service is horrible and do not expect to get reimbursed if they make mistakes or lose your clothes. Not cool.

Good service. Mildly cheap. $ 17 for large bag of laundry with clothes, towels, and a blanket.
Make sure you have a lot of time of your hands! Asked for a pickup today at 1:30pm. I had to leave by 2:30pm and they still hadn’t arrived. Last week I had them pick up a bag and they said they’d be there at 3pm, but didn’t arrive until much after 4pm.

I’m surprised by all the positive reviews for this shop but thankfully most people have had better experiences with them than i have. Since I used to pass Essex St. station on my way home from work every day, and because I’ve had bad luck with other alteration places in Manhattan, I decided to try Chinatown. i had two pair of designer jeans to get hemmed. I agreed with the woman at the counter to only take 3 inches off. First of all, when i came in to pick up the pants on the day they said they would be ready, the man at the counter said they didn’t have them. When I asked why not, he said they have their alterations done somewhere else, telling me I would have to pay him for the taxi ride to pick up my pants and come back. I demanded that they have them that night and came back the next day. The pants were done but 4 – 5 inches had been cut off. Thus, my socks are visible. Bad service, low quality work. I really wanted this place to be good.

So I usually come to this laundromat when I need something done really well. I had my down comforter dry cleaned here without issue and thought I trusted them.
I dropped off white sheets, a couple of towels, a lightweight blanket and a bathmat (17“x24″) for launder, all white, no separation. My cost was $ 11.25 on the ticket. When I picked them up, the price was raised to $ 19.50 because of the ‘blanket and the rug’. It’s a bathmat and a lightweight blanket. So they raised the price by almost 75%? Seriously? Give me a break.
Luckily you can’t turn the corner around here without running into a laundromat/​cleaner so I won’t be going back.

I love Orchard Cleaners! I call them after work and they arrive promptly, take my stuff, have it ready, cleaned and folded the next day, and they charge me really reasonably. I do my laundry every 2 – 3 weeks, and for 2 large bags (probably around 15 – 20 lbs of clothes) it is rarely over $ 20 including delivery.
AMAZING. Why would I ever waste my time at a laundromat again, now that Orchard is in the picture?

Picked Orchard Cleaners due to the good reviews on Unilocal.They picked up and delivered my laundry same day, everything came back folded/​ironed/​neatly packaged. However, they don’t take card only cash. which they told me after they had finished with my clothes. Maybe it’s because I had a lot of blankets, etc. but pretty pricey transaction. They also forgot to deliver a pair of my shoes I had them clean with my laundry and it took 3 days and a few language barrier battles to get someone to deliver them. Not sure if I will be using them again.

I drop my laundry and work shirts here pretty much every week for an olé wash-​and-​fold (and ironing for the shirts). They do a really nice job. It certainly isn’t fancy, but they are careful and thorough, and the prices are super-​reasonable. Staff are also very friendly.
I was told before I first came that this is the best place in the local area, and have no reason to doubt it. (Still wish there was a higher-​end drycleaner like Legacy close by also for suits etc., just because better chemicals = less wear on the clothes).

I have to say that I agreed with everyone’s review about this place for the last year but either this place got sold, they changed staff or something else happened. This place when from a 5 star to 1 star in my eyes. In the past, Danny always was prompt, fast and did the deliveries quickly. The last two times I called (Danny doesn’t work there anymore it seems) they claimed that they didn’t have my clothing. Then they asked for a ticket number which I’ve NEVER gotten from them since Ive used them for the last year. I’m writing this review because after claiming to not have my clothing they said they were going to deliver it within 5 min. I called 1 ½ hours later and they said they needed to do it in the morning because they got too busy. It’s sad to see a place go from 5 star service to 1 star and wondering if your ever going to see your clothing again.

I agree with Phoebe J. on their service. Your clothes are folded nicely and categorized making it easy to put away in an instant! They do pick-​up and deliver the same day, but you have to be patient when calling in since the lady who usually answers is a little tough to understand. However, the staff is really nice and they get the job done.

The staff here are so sweet, considerate and really spot-​on with laundry and dry-​cleaning. Everything comes back clean, wonderfully scented, perfectly organized and folded. They’re sharp to separate everything out accordingly, offer to bleach only your whites, take care with your delicate wash and even offer different temperatures for your sheets and bedding.
You know that lovely feeling of falling asleep on cool, clean and crisp bedding? Well now I feel that every time I arrive home with laundry from Orchard Cleaners… even slipping on my fave pair of jeans is a dream.

This is pretty much the only decent dry cleaner in the below Delancey Lower East Side. It’s open seven days a week until 9:00 p.m. This is the only clean place in the area with convenient hours. Plus, it’s very affordable.

This is one of those awkward times where I have to admit that I’m really OCD. About certain things. And one of them is laundry. What? My clothes are my thing. Let it go.
I have done my own laundry for … as long as I can remember. How lovely the idea of my Mom doing it for me, but it just doesn’t happen. Partly because she was over it years ago and partly because I’d rather do it myself.
Since moving here, where having a washer and dryer in home is more rare than say a Manolo sample sale, I am slowly getting used to the idea of someone else touching my chonies.
With Orchard, I relinquish all control of laundry of management but I can drop my laundry off and pick it up the same day. The fact that everything comes back in a cutely folded little, square stack is just icing on the cake. The fact that the ladies who work there are so very nice is just over the top.

After trying a couple other places in the hood, this is the spot that I frequent. Very nice women taking your laundry and you can get separate color, bleach, and same day service (washing). Dry cleaning is affordable but, out-​of-​house and takes a couple days.
