I had an internship in NYC this past summer and living with NYCIntern was a great experience! I lived in the Financial District, which wasn’t my first choice because I work in Midtown, but I’m so glad I did because its such a great neighborhood and the commute wasn’t bad at all. The rooms come with furniture, but you do need to bring/buy household essentials. My favorite part was the privacy, every other housing place I looked at seemed to be just college dorms with shared kitchens and bathrooms, but these were full apartments! My roommates were quiet and all had internships themselves, I am living with one of them again this summer I would highly recommend NYCIntern to people living in NYC for a short period of time, like the summer. There might be slightly cheaper options out there, but they will definitely be college dorm style, living in a luxury building was wayyy cooler. Plus you don’t need to sign a lease as you do with every other nice building in ny. They also don’t try and hit you with fees, the price listed includes everything, A/c, internet etc. The only downside is that they have very specific move in and out dates and aren’t very flexible, but if the dates work for you its an awesome choice! I’m definitely staying again this summer

Quite possibly the worst housing service ever. Ever. And extremely overpriced for what you’re getting. The staff is wholly unresponsive, ignore emails and calls. Our wifi didn’t work for half a summer and we couldn’t do anything about it. They say they provide all furnishings so don’t bring your own; surprise, they didn’t provide half of the furnishings you’d need to live a basic lifestyle like trash cans and shower curtains. The last thing you want to deal with as an intern in the city is poor housing amenities, especially at such a steep price. Stay away from this awful service.

Okay let’s start that I have only been living here for only a month and it is a pure hell! The people at NYC Intern may be nice but they are not accommodating at all! 1. It took them over 3 months for our order of blinds to come in. During the summer/autumn the room bakes so much that it is literally a sauna. 2. The pay is not worth it at all. You’d have better luck with finding your own apartment/studio for half the price you pay here. 3. The gas stove blew up on us, and when the oven did not work and the sign literally popped up in saying it can no longer function, NYC tells us that we broke it or that we read the sign wrong and it does work. I don’t think it should take 4 hours for the oven to preheat? 4. The WiFi is horrible! It is always going in and out. You have to manually restart almost every other day. I have not had one day of a good stream of WiFi. 5. When we finally got our blinds, all of my stuff on my desk was on the floor, my scissors were replaced by broken scissors left by the handy men. WTF?! My space has been personally violated! I don’t even know what else they stole. Seriously, go with Dream Careers, Pink Dorms, or sublet.
