I’ve tried two other nail salons in the area and this one is the best! I got a wax and also gel manicure. Great attention to detail. The wax was better than the expensive wax I got at Uni K– I’m definitely coming here instead(except for brazilian wax maybe since the Uni K wax formula is more sensitive). It was my first time getting a gel manicure so I was skeptical but Lucy helped me find the perfect color and she meticulously made sure it was flawless, inspecting each nail and fixing any imperfections. She shaped my nails exactly how I like them, which is an issue I always have. I will definitely come back here. especially because it’s so convenient right above the 86th street station!

Great neighborhood find! $ 33 mani pedi mon-Thursday and $ 37 other days. Impeccably clean and good service and they even give you a quick 1 min shoulder massage at the end! Love this place!

I love this place. The employees are very nice and detailed in their work. I am happy with the way my mani-pedis come out. The place is bright, spacious, pretty and clean. The pedicure chairs are always very clean. It has never been packed when I have been there and I think it’s because it’s an undiscovered gem. I think it may be because it’s on the second floor and not readily visible, but people don’t know what they’re missing. It’s also very conveniently located on the SW corner of Lexington and 86th Street(right off the 4, 5, 6 train station). I recommend it.

UPDATE: I’ve been in Alaska for the last week and a half and my manicure hasn’t chipped even a FLAKE. This has been an action packed week. Hiking, biking, eating messy food and scrubbing my hands with soap. My nails look like I got them done yesterday. Seriously. Go here. Get a gel manicure. It’s amazing.

This place is in such a convenient location, steps from express train and across from three banks. However the expensive 60min table massage I purchased was far from worth it! I left with my lower back & legs still aching! I’ve paid less at a hole in the wall spa in Chinatown and left relieved from back pain! I even got a shellac manicure, it too usual time and looks good so I will update it doesn’t last. But I would NOT recommend spa services.

I really like this place. The price is a bit high. But I really like it. I paid $ 75 for a pedicure with callous remover and a gel manicure. I went here mainly because its new, its extremely clean and very quiet. Not a lot of people no about this place yet, so I like that when I go they pay attention to you and its not rushed. But $ 75 seems high. Could someone please tell me if this sounds like a descent price.

I came here for a quick pedi and left very well satisfied. I am picky with pedicures but this one was most of the most thorough pedis I’ve had in a while. how I wish I lived closer! Will definitely be a place I will visit again when I’m in the area. Very nice and neat work out area and friendly staff, they know what they are doing here and I highly recommend. My neck and shoulder massage at the end was the bomb!

Ever since reading the NYT exposé on the mistreatment of nail salon workers, I’ve been visiting these establishments less often. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that New York Top is a clean and seemingly humane environment for the aestheticians, who are also very competent and knowledgeable at their craft. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but this second-floor nail salon is amazingly tidy, spacious, and beautiful. Did I mention CLEAN? Each tool sparkled with cleanliness and the foot soak tubs didn’t have that sketchy, grimy look that many places do. The services are slightly more expensive than some of the bottom-dollar places but still very reasonable compared to places like Dyanna and Cleo Nails. The nail technician took her time and didn’t rush me. It took a while, but it was absolutely worth it for a beautiful, long-lasting result. Better yet, my regular(NOT gel!) manicure and pedicure are still going strong 8 days later with the regular application of a Deborah Lippmann topcoat I use at home. However, I credit my nail technicians masterful application for its longevity and will return for my future nail salon needs. Don’t forget to leave a generous tip for these ladies! They know what they’re doing.

This place is great! It just opened and is right by the train. The staff is really nice, color selection is great, and the salon itself is so clean, beautiful and spacious. Prices are comparable to the other salons nearby and they’ve been running really great specials! Can be tricky to find-it’s on the 2nd floor, so ring the buzzer if the door isn’t open. Definitely recommended!
