Amazing and authentic fast food — Mexican food. Great place for a quick meal. I’ve been to this place multiple times and I’ve never had a negative experience. The price are great for this area — UES. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and properly cooked, also tasty. A solid winner! Some dishes are better than others but I was not disappointed by any of them. Double yum, and for under $ 7 — it’s a steal. They’re very friendly and helpful. Good job Patty’s Tacos — Truck!

Oh gosh, negative review here. Chorizo burrito = yuck. Dried out. Smoky. Horrible flavor. Inedible on my opinion. Really bad. Chicken enchilada was ok. Smothered in green sauce though so I could not tell if the ingredients were fresh. Not spicy so I added tons of hot sauce at home. I do not recommend this truck. Stay away. It is always at the same spot on Lexington between 86 and 86 so it must have a following but I am at a loss as to why…

This Taco truck is parked outside the Best Buy on Lexington &86th Street. It was in the mid 30s degree on 4⁄17(crazy weather) and I ordered a Chicken Taco($ 3) and was ready within 4 mins got a soft chicken taco. Wow, the 1st bite and tasted chicken chunk was juicy and warmed me up. I ate the entire Taco and made me feel warmer already. I Ordered another Taco with sausage($ 3) and it was almost as good as the Chicken. After 2 Tacos, I was still hungry and order another Chicken with Cheese($ 3.5) and it was delicious. 3 Tacos later, I am all warm up and full. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is extra like cheese, sour cream, etc cost 50 cents more per each item which I think is a little too much. Anyway, I will still eat here next time I am in the neighborhood.

Super shocked when I got my order of Huaraches. Plate was so big(see photo) and flavor was even bigger. Huarache: Tortilla base, salted beef, cole slaw, beans, Mexican fresco cheese and beautiful, heavenly, buttery slices of fresh avocado tops it off. Price was even more shocking = $ 12 They have Jarritos soft drinks to complete your trip south of the border! Orale!

It was a little expensive but considering the neighborhood I suppose the price was ok. I had a cemitas. The portion was huge. It was nothing special. I will probably not go back to pattys.

Eh. The guys here are nice, and there are a lot of choices. It’s kinda expensive for a truck. My main disappointment is their Pastor. I know what pastor is, and so do they — it’s described as roast pork on their menu. The pastor I got was cubed baked ham mixed with pineapple chunks. HAM. I didn’t want a ham burrito, I wanted a burrito with pastor. Delicious, juicy roast pork. Not canned ham. Should’ve gotten the carnitas.

My new go to spot for Mexican food! Patty’s tacos is usually parked right outside the subway stop on Lex and 86th. It’s a great location! We had been wanting to try it for a while now. A lot of folks eat their food on the go, but we live near by so we asked for ours wrapped to go. Actually they said they already planned to wrap it to go… maybe because we ordered a lot of food. We ordered 4 tacos($ 3 each) 2 pork, 1 chicken, 1 beef and an order of chicken enchiladas($ 10). The pork tacos were by far our favorite! The enchilada portion was huge! There was more like 4 enchiladas not 3 as indicated on the menu. The enchiladas were topped with a verde sauce(mild), lettuce, tomato, mexican cheese and sour cream and a slice of avocado. Tacos had cilantro, tomato, and onion(i think). Sauces were a green and red. The red is very spicy(it has an after kick). I tasted the tinniest sample and my mouth was on fire! I wasn’t even in the mood for mexican food, but wanted something quick(was so hungry) and was glad we tried Patty’s Tacos. Although I have no idea who Patty is… there were 2 guys working the truck.

Good food! Some of the best tacos that I had in the city. Wish they had a twitter or something to know where they are located on a given day.

Fresh ingredients, clean flavors! And cheap! I saw the truck parked right outside the 86th St station on Lex. I decided to try it because I wanted something to eat, but nothing too heavy. Thought tacos might do the trick. I ordered one meat and one chicken taco. I was surprised when I got the food that it was presented so nicely. The meat and chicken were cut in chunks, not shredded, and with simple/minimal flavors — maybe only salt. There were no sauce or spices added to the meat. I ordered them with everything, which included tomatoes, cilantro, lime, and not sure what else. The truck has two types of sauces to add — green cilantro sauce and red salsa. I like the cilantro sauce better. My stomach was satisfied, but not stuffed or grossed out as I would expect from street tacos(maybe due to my lack of experience, as such). Based on my satisfying experience, I will try something else next time, maybe the quesadilla.

I was in the neighborhood and needed some quick grub. I was craving tacos so I searched for a taco truck and found this one. To my surprise they’re quite good. The lengua tacos were excellent and generously portioned. I also had the al pastor. Definitely a great option for something quick, cheap, and tasty.

Mexican rolling thunder goodness! It always satisfies my chicken burrito craving when I come home late from a long work day. As I ascend the stairs from the 86th and Lex subway stop it’s always welcoming to glimpse that big truck with the neon Patty’s sign glowing in the dark night. The chicken burrito was just as I had remembered it from many tastings before — large, moist, buttery, creamy goodness. Fresh and hot. Full of chicken and rice. Two sauces on the side. Crazy good for only around $ 8. There is magic that comes out of this rolling Mexican fiesta! This is one of the better food trucks in the city. So loving the chicken burritos out of this truck! The food here is full of flavor. Each bite was moist juicy goodness. Almost like butter. I can’t get over how good these are. Add the delish green salsa and hot sauce they give you to put on them and it just adds to the flavor, but the burrito is so tasty it’s not really needed. I am a fan. One day I will actually try something else like the tacos or a torta. In the meantime I will just be happy having a love affair with the chicken burritos!

Hey, it’s a taco truck, so for what it is, I give it 4 stars. The food has always been good, and a couple times I would have said great so not the most consistent but it’s never been bad. I’ve had their tacos de carne asada which is supposed to be made with grilled beef but I don’t think it is. The meat is very tender but it looks like it has been simmered or steamed or something rather than grilled because it doesn’t have that char broiled color if you know what I mean, but it’s still good. I’ve also had cemita which was really good but just a little warning, it is enormous so if you are a normal mortal, be sure you have someone to split it with. Half of one is the size of a Big Mac… and they don’t warn you about that, lol. I have had original home cooked Mexican food made from a 100% pure bread Mexican household, so I think I’m a pretty good judge. Is this the most authentic? No, but it is one of the closest places I have found in Manhattan, to date… except when I cook — wink wink. Additional Info: The truck is parked on the corner of 86th& Lexington right across the street from the Subway station. I was told it is there Monday-Thursday from 7pm-11pm but that they leave at 10:30 if it’s not busy. Otherwise, they have another truck which is almost exlusively stationed down by 14th Street in Union Square and I know nothing about the one on the UWS.
