I went yesterday to get a pedicure (which I get maybe twice a year, so this was really treating myself). They wouldn’t honor a very old gift certificate, which was fine. I decided to get a pedicure anyway. The woman working on my feet was nice enough, but not 5 minutes into my pedicure, a roach crawls up the side of the water basin. The woman calmly takes a paper towel, gets it, throws it in the trash, and continues the pedicure like nothing had happened. No apology, no nothing. The manner in which this took place made me wonder if this was a regular occurrence. I was unable to find a manager on my way out, but needless to say, I wouldn’t call my time a relaxing experience, nor was the pedi anything to write home about. I now have another NYC story to add to my list, and I’ll never go there again. Nasty.

I got a gift certificate from my work for a ‘free’ manicure and pedicure, but it ended up that I had to pay extras for both tips and the 10 minutes massage for my feet, which I knew would be extra, but that massage cost $ 20 more? I was still okay with it since I didn’t have to pay for the manicure and pedicure. But it got worse when the lady file my nails so roughly until three of my fingers were BLEEDING, she rubbed the metal filer so hard on my thumb that it ripped off my skin and now its swallon. Not only that she forced me to tip her at least $ 11 on top of everything, she even calculated the amount of my gift certicate, the 10 minutes massage she did and asked me to pay 20% of that total as a tip for her, I thought tip was something that you don’t force your customer to pay for it especially when you hurt their fingers multiple times. At the end I tipper her $ 13 on top of what I paid already for the 10 minutes massage and the gift certificate I gave her, but in return I would like to post this review everywhere to warn everyone not to go to this place. I still have another gift certificate, but I rather throw it away than get myself hurt again for the second time. I don’t even want to give it to my friend cause I don’t want them to get hurt. My nails turned out horrible, chipped right there and then after waiting for 10 minutes for it to dry. Horrible experience. They don’t even deserve a star for the service!

Don’t ever go here! I got an older Asian lady she had no clue what she was doing worst pedicure ever. Then the owner started taking off my acrylics and she cut my nails way too short I was bleeding and she kept going! Didn’t apologize she acted like nothing g happened! I ended up leaving with no manicure and half of my acrylic on my nails, that costed me $ 70!

For $ 10 I got a great basic manicure. Mimi was wonderful. Place was not the nicest but again for $ 10 I’m not expecting much. They don’t accept credit cards less than $ 20 and they charge extra for quick dry. I’m satisfied with my mani.

The worst manicure and pedicure! Spanish woman did my mani and pedi Shellac (119 $ with 10 min massage), cut me twice, went over the skin, I give her 11 $ tips and she ask more I give her another 5 and she ask for 20 $!!! next day my finger is painful

Very happy to have them in my ‘hood. They go the extra mile to make sure your mani pedi lasts. My friend’s pedi lasted 6 weeks without a chip!

They were sweet caring ladies. Took care of us and offered many options. They are considerate and patience. I got a 10 min foot massage but hated that it was over. Will come back later this week!

This place is a joke. Credit card limit is $ 20, but they don’t tell you that. I only noticed when I sat down and saw a tiny sign by the register that stated this. A regular manicure costs $ 10 here. I told my manicurist that I didn’t have cash on me, and she told me she could charge me DOUBLE on my card. As if that’s a reasonable solution… ridiculous. She didn’t even have the courtesy to direct me to the nearest ATM machine; that’s the least I’m asking for. Got off and left before they could even start the process.
I really don’t even care about the technique/​skill in this scenario, just the service itself is a HUGE turn off. There are plenty of other reputable salons to go to in the area. Don’t fall for this scam.

Excellent manicure, tremendous attention to detail, looks great. But I will never go back.
Maybe I am out of touch with tipping protocols for manicures, but in the past I had always tipped $ 3 – 5, $ 10 for something out of the ordinary. After leaving $ 6 extra with my bill, I was literally blocked at the door, not allowed to leave until the manager, after conferring with the technician, showed me a slip of paper where she had scrawled «15−20%» — «I didn’t tip enough?» I asked, as other customers watched, and as I had no change and was just anxious to get out at that point, gave her another $ 5, which now was well over a 20% tip.
I don’t begrudge how hard these women work or how little they are paid, but tipping is a choice. Make your prices and wages enough to support your staff, but do not bully a customer at the door.

I was hesitant to try this place due to the low ratings on here but they were the only place that could take me right away and be quick to finish. I was pleasantly surprised with my manicure and it held up very well for a week.

I am very satisfied w my manicure from here today. The lady painted my nails and at first it looked like I had done it, but the manager happened to come by to take over finishing painting (it was getting super busy around lunchtime) and saw that it didn’t look good and redid everything from the beginning … Even though they were so busy AND Without me even saying anything. She redid and it was perrrfect! I really appreciate the extra care and time she took, because I usually have a hard time complaining about what seems so trivial but would have been silently annoyed. The place is also super clean. Thank you!

Never again. So not worth the $ 29 they charge for a pedicure! The foot rub was so half hearted, no scrub, no heel gel, she barely applied the pumice stone to my foot. Outrageous. And they don’t let you put the tip on the card so bring cash for the tip.

Omg this place is horrendous!!! Just went in and literally walked out without getting color. The women here talk about you in front of you in Chinese and are completely rude. The mani was sloppy and she wasn’t even looking at my nails while doing them. The final straw was when the bill came and I told her to add $ 2 because I honestly didn’t think she deserved even that much and she put down $ 3, thinking I wouldn’t notice. When I pointed it out, she quickly re scribbled the tip then proceeded to get defensive about the fact that there was a credit card minimum and started yelling at me. Wtf?! That still doesn’t explain why she would scribble down $ 1 more dollar when I explicitly said $ 2. I don’t care about the dollar. Heck I don’t care about $ 10 but it’s the principle. She was dishonest and got caught and didn’t even know how to apologize. I’m never ever going back. Their work is completely sloppy. There are two nail salons on 55^th btwn 5^th and 6^th on the south side. Both are infinitely better alternatives. Places like this need to be shut down.

Not going to win any awards but for an $ 11 mani it does the job. Clean and quick. I would return again when in the area.

Really like this place, definitely coming back.
Experience: Very friendly staff who all speak very good English, offered extras within my price range (which I took — massage was great) without being pushy at all. Nice and quiet, no aggro. Nice, comfortable, well decorated venue. Corridor lay out means it’s a bit cold in the winter when the door opens but that’s the way it goes — just keep your jacket on.
Services: Gel manicure was really good, lots of care taken in putting my beat up nails back together before the varnish applied and appropriate amount of dialogue about what I wanted before we started. Also had a 10min massage whilst I waited for my gel to be removed which was really relaxing.
Price: In line with what I’d expect (price list picture attached). I paid $ 39 for gel manicure and $ 12 for a 10min massage. Current deal is $ 10 for normal manicure which seems very reasonable.
Really worth coming here if you work in the area — it’s much better than a lot of the salons in the same price range that I’ve tried in the area.

Came in with a group of five (three women and two men) on a Saturday evening because there was a sign on the window for $ 10 manis. How can you say no to $ 10 manis? Well, I could think of a few reasons, but whatever. We were just winging it.
We walked in and were quickly taken care of. The technician who applied my polish was kind and quick– just what I was hoping for.
I gave the shop two stars due to the confusion that arose. I went in with my H and obviously wanted to pay together. I gave my technician her tip before drying my nails and my H paid for himself, for my mani and the tip to his tech. For whatever reason, the salon manager thought my H wanted to pay for HIS SISTER in lieu of me, HIS WIFE. There was a good fifteen minutes of confusion where the manager was demanding money from me– and my poor tech was explaining the situation with no resolve. LADY, MY HUSBAND PAID FOR ME! I’M DONE!

No nonsense mani and pedi-​some of the staff is lovely, some, so-​so but they all seem to do great work. Space could be a little cleaner but have come half a dozen times and no problems.
Convenient location and great prices $ 10 mani, $ 27 pedi

I don’t really enjoy penning reviews that tout the mediocrity of one’s trained trade, and especially when the employees are of my shared ethnicity.
$ 15 French Mani yesterday afternoon. The know-​how and the movements/​experience of my gal were, sadly, just an exhaled «meh». I am not one for getting nails done often, owing primarily to my profession. But hey, had a few hrs to kill, and the price wasn’t bad… go for it. There was no wait; huge selling factor.
Place could be more put-​together, but I will say, its great location (lit steps away from the F line) keeps this place abuzzin’…big-time. Not quite sure I can reco this place. Overall, the job looked ok. Shall you have a gander, you muse? Will consider!
