Nail Station

Went in for a mani/​pedi for $ 22. Whole experience was mediocre. Had them done for an event and it hasn’t been a full day yet, but have tons of dents in the polish. The polish also has tons of bubbles in it and was applied too close to the cuticle so I could see the polish starting to lift. I could have probably done a better job…

This place is the cleanest most inexpensive nail salon in the Bensonhurst area. For pedicures they put a plastic wrap inside the area you put your feet assuring you of their cleanliness. They take their time and truly make you feel welcomed. Kim is my personal favorite! The only reason I can’t give them 5 stars is because the salon is very tiny and the wait can be long, but totally worth it !!!

Walked all the way there for nothing… My nails chipped off after two days. You would def not see me there again.

Great service and super cheap mani + pedi (only $ 20), but I’ve sadly chipped my nails immediately afterwards both times I’ve been here. Yikes! My brother’s girlfriend, who is a regular here, tells me that I need to get the «quick dry oil.» I keep forgetting, but hopefully I’ll remember next time. Otherwise, I’m very happy with the quality of the mani-​pedi (plus this place is right across from my house).
They are very, very popular though; I came here as soon as they opened on a Saturday morning and I luckily snagged a spot — the people who came after me had to wait quite a while. After all, the whole mani-​pedi lasts an hour and they don’t have nearly as many customers as they do workers. Do make a reservation — they definitely prioritize those over walk-​ins.
Their English is not the best, but I didn’t find it a problem considering that I just picked my colors and they did everything. No questions necessary.

I had high hopes for this place since my friends recommended I try this place out. I got acrylic tips which turned out the way I wanted at a reasonable length and in a sheer color. Kim was patient with me and evened out my nails when I noticed they were a bit crooked.
I’m only going to give this place two stars. This place was a lot smaller than I expected. The ladies were nice and spoke some English. It just so happened that one of my nails started to lift, that same day I got them done and I was very upset. And by the middle of the week I lost 7 of my nails to lifting. I wanted to like Kim but as she shaped my nails she was working too hard on my pinky and cut me with the file. I didn’t even notice until she put primer on and my poor pinky burned so bad…
$ 27 for acrylic tips that wouldn’t last and unwanted cuts because she wasn’t careful enough. No thank you.

As I said in my original review, I returned to get a permanent French fill in my nails.
Two days later, the white UV gel portion of my French manicure that was paid extra for? Started to turn orange.
Additionally, when I went in for my pedicure at the same time… The technician made me take off the flip flops (I left mine in the car) because they USE THEM ON MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS. She also washed her tools in the pedicure basin standing water my feet had been soaking in, and placed them back in her container– ready for use. Absolutely horrified.
Never coming back here. Ever.

$ 20 for the gel manicure when I went, and $ 13 for the regular pedicure. They charged $ 5 for the removal of a previous gel which is very typical. Price-​wise, they are hard to beat.
They have a very large gel color selection, and all of the nail techs are constantly working away. Cleanliness is a bit hit or miss. Some of the girls would do a quick spray of the station after another customer finished, but I found most didn’t. They are also very gossipy with one another; I overheard them openly dissing another customer.
I got a French gel manicure, and overall, it was just okay. The lady definitely rushed a bit through the nail job, but they looked nice at least.

This place was hands down the best nail salon I’ve been to. I got a pedicure. And my feet were less than pretty.
I went in a half hour before closing not realizing how long it would take. However, I was never rushed and my nail technician Alivia was so nice she took her time even when it was past closing (8pm).
She did such a nice job and paid so close attention to detail I will definitely be coming back and asking for her.
Price wasn’t bad either. $ 13 for a base pedicure, and she recommended I upgrade with an $ 8 wrap since my feet were bad. At no time did I feel like she was trying to up sell me for no reason. She was so polite!

This place was recommended by a friend, and I was impressed by how close they pay attention to detail. I normally stay away from going to nail salons because I like to do them myself. However, I needed a gel manicure and pedicure to last me while I went away for vacation. It’s been exactly 3 weeks and the gel is still intact and shiny! Service is way better than most, where others tend to be rough with you and only half pay attention. Also, they are honest with their products. I noticed they rather use higher end polishes rather than put out the cheaper polishes. This will be the place I go to from now on whenever I feel too lazy to do my own mani and pedi!

I go there for 2 years, everything was ok they were doing a great job. I usually live good tips for good job, but last time I went, Vicky did my pedicure and manicure, she was very rude after she saw 3 $ tip, but I couldn’t give her more! I asked for French pedi mani, I picked the color but after she applied, I asked where is my French, she sad that the color is to dark. I’m not a professional in this, I need help, Costumes need help, you are there to help us!!!
One more thing, they changed a lot of girls and hired rude ones, even owners daughter is rude!

My gel manicures typically never last two weeks on my nails, but the gel manicure I received from this place lasted for two and a half weeks. I was very impressed and will be returning. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five, is because the lady rushed through the manicure and I didn’t really feel pampered as I typically do at other places.

I normally do not write reviews for salons but what the heck, why not? Heard about this place from a friend and gave it a shot. First time was okay. Second time was better. The lady that handled my tiresome piggies is extremely diligent. She made sure she painted all the toes properly and even paid attention to the nail edges that face forward. I’ve never had a nail technician that conscientious until now! Ask for Dareen; she’s thorough, sweet, and listens to all your mani/​pedi concerns.
PS-​After reading a New York Times article regarding the exploitation of nail salon workers, I highly recommend customers to think twice before tipping. I’m not saying that you should make it rain but these girls work hard so they greatly appreciate your generosity. Seriously, they do.

I love my french gel mani by Vicky. She’s super nice and suggested I do white tips with silver instead of just the silver tips I wanted. Might come back here to do it for my wedding, depending on how well it holds up.

WHAT is wrong with people???
I don’t know who was there for all the great reviews but I am SOOOO utterly disgusted with their service that I wish I can put it on the news!
I call ahead and make an appointment, get there and they were actually pleasant. A girl names Alivia was the one doing my nails. I had gel on and needed to take it off and redo another gel manicure. She put the foil and stuff and I waited.
When she finally got to doing my nails, I warned her twice to NOT CUT THEM SHORT! and what does she do? Cuts them so short that it doesn’t even go above my finger tips! So naturally I was very angry because there’s jo coming back from that. So now my nails are too short to do the design that I REALLY wanted so I sat for like 10 minutes scrolling through pictures to figure out what can be done on such short ugly nails. Finally picked one and long story short I saw before she was done that it was AWFUL and VERY sloppily done so I said no way we have to take this off.
Automatically the attitude started and she actually yelled at me saying why you no tell me when I did 1 nail? WHAT??? Besides the fact that she cut off all my nails and CUT THREE CUTICLES DOWN TO NONSTOP BLEEDING, she has the audacity to yell at me???
I told her to take this off right now and that I’ll put on tips (which I really didn’t wanna do but ugh my nails were so short and disgusting) and asked as politely ad possible if someone else can do them. She said she and pointed to another lady. I’m sitting and waiting for the other lady to finish and then she tells me… wait for it… can you come back tomorrow? This lady can’t do the design you want. WHAT? Then why even offer her and make me wait? I got so angry that it told her that this is the worst nail salon I’ve ever been to and that I’m leaving. And I did, got up and left.
Also just a note — when she cut my cuticles she didn’t even tend to them. I had to ask her to put some sort of disinfectant on it! Just absolute WORST experience ever. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I found another salon on 18^th Avenue between 66^th and 65^th and they are incredible! And way cheaper!

Today was the first time i visited this place, and I was impressed. I decided to go there because of the good reviews here on Unilocal,and I am glad I did. I called 15 minutes before I showed up and got service quickly. There were about 5 other customers there. I got a regular pedi and gel manicure. The technician who took care of me, Yvonne, was very nice and gentle and thorough. The pedi was the best I got in any of the Brooklyn salons, and manicure looks very pretty, with decoration detailing on a ring fingernail.
Oh, and I felt pampered when getting a shoulder massage while waiting for gel to set. don’t know if it is their standard offer, but it was the first time I got a bonus like this from a mani. I also got a punch card that offers 30% off of my 10^th visit.
Taking away one start because of the shabby and virtually absent décor, but it is same as many other Asian nail salons in brooklyn. However, I do wish the owners would invest a little time and money to make their salons an environment to truly enjoy. But as far as the quality of my nails now, i am happy and certain to return for my next mani pedi.

Great place to get your nails done for a very cheap price. It’s totally worth it. Cleanliness is super important to me and these people are cleannnnn. I come back every month for a pedi and sometimes a mani

I got my French manicure and pedicure here. I found this place via Unilocal,I have been looking for a nail place in my neighborhood that closes later than 7:30pm. They gave me a very good impression, very reasonable price for both French manicure and pedicure, Kim was very patient! I will come back again ^_^

Others have good reviews, but mine is not so well. Just moving to Brooklyn from Grenada Mississippi, the prices were AMAZING! I went in for eyebrow waxing, acrylic tips, & a pedicure. Winnie was the one that waxed me & done my pedi. I was VERY pleased with her. She was considerate of my feelings, she was very nice& gentle. I loved her service. Very well done. But when it came to my acrylic tips (my nails) kin or Kim; I couldn’t see her name tag all that well, was very rough. She made me bleed about 4 times, I was wincing in pain. My experience with her, was not so well, but I’ll recommend anyone for the waxing & pedicures from Winnie.

Came here after reading the reviews on Unilocal!I’d like to say my experience was nice! I was awed by a few things such as their ‘pink baggy’ filled with a warm liquid that supposedly helps makes ur heels smoother softer and prevents callus! They also had a special tool to scrape off color gel from ur nails which didnt look as damaging as it did with a filer. They took their time out to help me pair a color gel color i used for my hands with my toe color that was just a regular polish. I loved the smell of their foot scrub! I also love the neat idea of their uv lamp installed right under the table, so no more stickin ur hands inside a lamp box! Angie and kim were the ladies that helped me! I will definitely be going back for more pampering!
