This place is down to a point which really needs a whole renovation, and the workers are super rude,
Never go back again!

After waiting 40 minutes at another place I was like what the hell am I doing. this is nyc there a millions of nail salons. so I left and I drove 2 blocks and found this place empty.
the lady did my pedicure and it was basic and good. I didn’t need anything fancy. if I had more time I would have done my tips but I had already wasted to much time and I had to get to my sons school at 5pm. Anyway this is a hidden gem. will go back all the time now.

Came here for the first time today for a manicure. The place looks pretty run down and in need of a renovation. My manicure was going well until I paid by credit card. I didn’t give a tip through my credit card because I wanted to see how my design came out first. The manicurist said in Chinese, «oh this girl didn’t even give me a tip. I’ll just wait and see. Maybe she’ll give me one after I finish her design». I guess I don’t look Chinese? But still, that was incredibly awkward and rude. When my boyfriend (who actually looks Chinese) came in, that was when she realized I was Chinese because she was shaking as she was drawing the design. She even messed up a few times and had to redo it. To make matters worse, their electricity went out and I couldn’t dry my nails. Anyways, think twice before coming here. My nails are subpar and they talk shit about their customers in Chinese.

Horrible place and even horrible service. First off I was a bit hesitant of even going there because there was only one review for this place but I gave it a try because of convenience and its like the only place that does threading within walking distance. Boy was I wrong to jeopardize my eyebrows. First off I walked in no one wanted to greet me to top it off their door was broken. Finally when someone acknowledged me it was with an attitude and no clear direction of where to sit since they have no waiting area. They directed me to a chair where there was already a purse hanging. Then they yelled at me for standing where they directed. Only one person does eyebrow threading and she didnt even ask me what kinda shape I wanted. On top of that she was handling cash and I didnt see her sanitize either. I explained what I wanted and she just gave me a nasty expression. I should have left at that very moment. In the end she butchered my eyebrows. Let me tell you I was going to cut my hair hair as well and upperlips but after the nasty display of attitude I hightailed it outta there. No tip either. They wont be getting my business ever again.

Customer service is amazing at Rainbow Hair and Nail. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve done everything from getting a mani-​pedi to an eyebrow wax to gel nails and uv gel nails. I even come to get a quick hair trim once in a while since my hair tends to be super thick. All services were excellent. Price is standard when it comes to a brooklyn hair and nail salon but the people working here are very friendly. There’s a few salons around the area but this will always be my go to since it’s close to my house and the prices are pretty good.
