Valerie is amazing! I can say that I relax while she does my cleaning. Yes, relax. She’s extremely thorough, careful and in full control of all the procedures and tools. While her touch is firm, it is never rough and I can trust what she’s doing. My teeth have got stained lately and she patiently brings them back to zero stains.

When I lived in NJ, I saw Dr. Marini for several years, in the Union City office, and was always satisfied. He’s like your Italian uncle, warm and personable.
When I moved to Brooklyn a year and a half ago, I got my records transferred to the Spring Street office, and have been seeing Dr. Buchholz ever since. I was really dreading today’s visit, because I have sensitive teeth and gum recession I caused from years of brushing too hard. Even a cleaning would hurt.
Dr. Buchholz is really terrific. I feel so comfortable with her, because she’s a real person who takes my feelings into account. That’s a quality so hard to find in a medical professional. She listened to me and went out of her way to make me more comfortable. I never realized that applying a topical anesthesia before the cleaning was an option.
Can’t rave about her enough.

I went to Drs. Marini, Manci, and Huerta for about ten years, and I was very satisfied with all of the cleanings and fillings that I received. It’s a nice office and they and their staff are really friendly. They serve pop, wine, and coffee in the waiting area, which I thought was a little odd for a dentist, but also a nice touch — especially as it’s easy to be kept waiting 20 – 30 minutes, as another reviewer said.
HOWEVER: If you need endodontic work — root canals or crowns — GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. They did two root canals and three crowns for me through the years, and every one of those crowns popped off at some point and had to be reinstalled or remade entirely. To their credit, they did this replacement work for free, but every dentist I’ve spoken to since said that crowns should never come off. (I think they try to go fast to get through their patient load, and they perhaps get a little sloppy.) Additionally, after they reinstalled one of the crowns over a tooth that had received a root canal, I discovered that the root canal was improperly done, and it’s now infected. .. So I have to get a second root canal and a third crown on that tooth, which THRILLS me, I tell you. I’m going to another dentist and endodontist for that work.
In short: Nice people, but don’t trust them with anything complicated that takes a lot of time.

I have been a patient on this office for a couple of years and always have a good experience with them. Love all the Doctors and the staff, they all are extremely helpful when you need them. I even enjoy when I have to wait a little bit, because I take advantage of the full bar they have with wine, champagne, coca cola, water, coffee, tea, etc… I will definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.

This review is only regarding their scheduling services as I cannot remark on the dental care they provide. I originally scheduled my teeth cleaning with them in November 2013 for a date in December. They called me the day of to inform me the dentist would not be in that day so they had to cancel. Ok it happens, so I rebooked for the next available date which was not until January 2014. Again they called me the day of to cancel. Since I was not particularly in a hurry, I foolishly rescheduled with them again for today, 2÷5÷2014, only to receive a call this morning that the dentist was sick so they had to cancel my appointment. Frustrated I ask them if it would be possible to book me an appointment next week due to my circumstances. They put me on hold and never came back on the line. End of story, finding new dentist.

Very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff and doctors. Pleasant environment (very important at the dentist!). Highly recommend !

I usually don’t make positive Unilocal reviews, but this place is so great I had to share!
My dentist is Dr. Huerta, and he is a great guy. He always takes your comfort into consideration and is very helpful in answering any questions. He is personable and very friendly. The staff themselves are also incredibly nice.
I have been going here for a few months but I plan to continue going here for the as long as I live in NYC.
These guys completely deserve the 5 stars, and complimentary beverages and alcohol isnt a bad touch either.

Love this place! I book appointments according to my schedule and see whichever doctor is available. They are all wonderful! The doctors take late appointments which is helpful if you have a crazy work schedule like me. I usually book a 7:15 time slot! They are always quick and efficient AND there is wine in the waiting room.
I have been to other dentists in the city and have been turned off by the unkempt offices and unorganized staff members. This dentist office is clean and everyone is kind and knowledgable. I’ve now been visiting for nearly 3 years.

Dr Carlos Huerta is kind, gentle and knows his stuff. They serve champagne in the waiting room — what more do you want! They are also so fab with kids. Completely satisfied.

These guys are great dentists. I have been getting my teeth cleaned here for the past 4 years and they have done a great job. The cleaning is comfortable and they don’t push any unnecessary procedures. I feel very comfortable every time I go in that they are working in my best interest. If you are looking for a dentist with a comfortable touch and an honest evaluation this is the place to go.
