After a year of pain, another podiatrist who never took X-​rays and physical therapy, Dr. Mancuso saved my right foot.
I had a broken sesimoid bone removed in an outpatient procedure in his office this past spring. Dr. Mancuso was incredibly kind and professional. He took time to explain everything to me every time. His staff & nurses always remembered everything about me & my case and treated me like a friend. I never felt rushed or talked down to. I highly recommend this office for all your foot problems.

Dr. Zaiff has been my podiatrist since early March of this year. I was referred through my physician for an Achilles injury. I made it clear to him that complete rehabilitation was necessary for me to get back to running (as well as to keep me employed as a full-​time yoga instructor!). He was always attentive and professional. He saw me through the whole recovery process, fitted me for custom orthotics (which are a godsend!) and has given me the green light to continue training for my half marathon coming up in the fall. What a relief! Dr. Zaiff helped make all this happen — and easily too.
I have to mention it’s always a pleasure to come here too; the staff are always friendly accommodating. Such a huge plus!!! Thank you!

I’m actually appalled that this location of Manhattan Podiatry has scored so low on Unilocal!Let me preface this review by letting you know that I was referred here after a very traumatic surgery to my right foot from a different practice. I was only 23 at the time, so to have something so monumental disabling my life left me hopeless.
Well, to cut right to the chase, Dr. Mancuso saved my foot– (ultimately my life) because my body’s attached to it. We met several times, took multiple x-​rays, I even got other medical opinions and I felt safest with Dr. Mancuso with his experience, technology and professionalism. I underwent a major surgery that took place in the Upper East Side at an extremely clean and strict surgical center. I had so much anxiety on that day because of my previous experience with surgery but Dr. Mancuso and his team put me at ease until I went under. I have since had a great recovery and results (considering my circumstances) and will continue to spread the good word.
Also, the office and exam rooms are clean, the front desk people are always curteous and welcoming and the nurses are super efficient and friendly. And I really haven’t had any health insurance hassles. Highly recommended!

Dr. Zaiff is an extremely knowledgeable and competent physician. I was introduced to Dr. Zaiff through my regular physician, Dr. Yaffe and have had a wonderful experience so far. Dr. Zaif suggested several courses of action for my severe case of plantar fasciitis and worked closely with me to identify a method that would be most effective. In addition to a night splint, stretching and lessened aerobic activity, he also suggested Extracorporeal shockwave treatment to help treat the stubborn injury. So far, we have done four treatments and my foot is feeling like new. Not only has the pain all but subsided but I am able to walk comfortably and am confident I will be able to return to running soon.
I highly recomment Dr. Zaiff’s services for any heel or foot issues you may have. Both he and his staff are extremely attentive and also helpful when scheduling appointments or answering questions on treatment options. Every appointment the staff was on time and there was no need to wait, which is wonderful when you need to leave work to make a mid-​day appt.
Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

dr. steven abramow insisted on removing a neuroma. the mri report stated it was not enlarged nor inflamed. i did not see this mri report nor did he discuss it with me until after the surgery.
i have been suffering from his botched surgery that should have never never happened in the 1^st place.
do not go to this hack. do not go to dr. steven abramow. you will regret it!!!

Wow, I’m surprised with the other reviews here. My experience has been much different. I’ve been seeing Dr. Shapiro for the past couple years in this office for a variety of problems, starting with plantar fasciitis, and more recently, surgical treatment of a bunion and several hammertoes. After some unsuccessful conservative treatments, Dr. Shapiro performed Extracorporeal Shock Wave Treatment (ESWT) on my foot to treat my PF, and within a few months, the pain was almost completely resolved. It’s been over a year and a half, and my PF has stayed away! I literally hugged him when I realized the ESWT worked because if you’ve ever had PF, you know how absolutely dibilitating and frustrating it is! Last year, Dr. Sharpiro performed hammertoe surgery on two of my toes on my right foot, and I’m so thrilled with the results. And 3 weeks ago, he performed a chevron osteotomy (bunionectomy) on my left foot as well as 3 hammertoe corrections (#3,4 & 5) on the same foot. I got my stitches out last week and I’m still wearing the surgical shoe, but my pain is minimal and I was back to work in a week. I’m happy to say that I think my foot problems are behind me and I have Dr. Sharpiro and his wonderful staff to thank for that.

Dr. Zaiff came to me highly recommended by all of my co-​workers in the office. If someone in the office had a foot injury, they would go to him. Now that I am his patient, I understand why he’s so popular. Dr. Zaiff is a great doctor and he did a terrific job in fixing my foot. Dr. Zaiff will really listen to your problems and will genuinely help you — either it’s for my foot or another condition. He is so competent and caring. I feel that he really cares for me as a patient and also as a person. I would highly recommend Dr. Zaiff to anyone who is looking for a foot wonderful doctor. You will be glad you came to him.

This place is horrible! Went here to have my feet checked 2 months ago. Dr. Abramowitz came in looked at my feet for 1 minute and said I needed surgery. I did not agree with him considering I went to other places and no doctor has ever said I needed it. He was cold and had no desire to help me but say you need surgery. I left the office very upset and got another opinion. Needless to say I went to another podiatrist who gave me the best orthotics and I am now pain free. Wild never recommend this place to anyone. They just care about getting your money.

Dr. Zaiff is nice, but not worth the trouble of dealing with his irresponsible and lazy staff. Don’t bother.

I’m as huge of a fan as I can be of a podiatrist’s office. The support staff is pleasant and am taken in in a timely manner. Dr. Shapiro’s bedside manner is beyond excellent – I was super nervous about the procedure and he made me feel comfortable. Highly recommended.

It has been about a year since I had bunions removed on both feet. Dr. Zaiff performed the procedure, and right from our initial meeting, I knew I had chosen the right doctor and practice. Dr. Zaiff, the office staff, and the other doctors in the practice were extremely kind, knowledgeable, and had great bedside manner. Both the surgery and the healing process were exactly as it had been described to me, and went better than expected. Getting my bunions removed at Manhattan Podiatry Associates, and by Dr. Zaiff were one of the best decisions I have ever made. My feet are perfect, I am back to my normal exercises, can feet into any type of shoe, and I am no longer in pain. Dr. Zaiff has been my podiatrist for almost 10 years. I have always found him to be «on top of his game» (professional, courteous, friendly) with quick and accurate diagnosis and treatment. All my visits have yielded positive results and I feel ever so much better for having scheduled each and every one. The front desk staff is friendly, helpful and make every effort to accommodate last minute needs and patient’s tight schedules. And, not to be overlooked, the location is ideal. Whatever my foot needs, Zaiff’s office is where I will be. Peace.
