I am a Native New Yorker who loves this city. I’ve worked for Manhattan Mini Storage for the past 6 ½ years but have been at 110th Street for 2 years now. I love my building and how easy it is to help our local residents. We are a 24 hour facility that is opened 365 days a year so that makes access anytime a cinch. I work extremely hard with my staff (they’re the best) to provide the absolute best service possible to our guests, and ensure that everyone has a great experience with us. We help busy New Yorkers through all types of transitions and circumstances every day. Our units really do become an extension of their home or office for many of our guests. It makes me proud to work for a company that truly is the leader in the industry — it makes coming to work easy.

Seamless experience. Needed a place to store apartment things between moving, and these guys made it easy. Staff was very helpful and professional. The building is very secure, kept clean, and there was always parking. Great that it’s open 24⁄7. Would store here again the next time I need to!

This is what happens when you rent a storage unit at Manhattan Mini Storage: They tell you that they don’t have the size you want available and they give you a larger unit for the original price that you agreed to. Then, they tell you they’ll call you to move your stuff when your desired unit is available, but remind you to call and «check in.» If you do call and leave a message, no one will return your call. Then, they try to charge you for the size of the larger unit where you temporally stashed your stuff. You then have to get over there and move your stuff during a time only convenient for them. Then, you’ll must likely get a 2nd floor unit, where you have to use a giant ladder to lift all of your belongings into a new unit.
As far as their services, they’re fine but buyer, BEWARE!

I am just 3 weeks into using this company but I have to say I couldn’t be more pleased. The front desk service, the pick up drivers and of course the facility are all top-​notch. So far, everything is just terrific and the price is more than fair.

Every time I have to use the storage taxi, I hope I get Brent. All the drivers are nice but Brent is special. There is a sparkle in his eyes that just makes moving easy and fun. Brent is professional, warm and friendly, and always ready to go out of his way to help you with anything you need.
Brent will remember who you are and he always has a great smile on his face! I hope you too get Brent (and, in case you wonder, sorry but he is married)…
Please take good care of Brent and give him a raise: he is a keeper!

Moving is always stressful but not when you deal with Manhattan Mini Storage.
Came here after my storage facility was bought and sold to another company, only to convert it to another business. Manhattan Mini Storage reach out to over 400 displaced customers who were scrambling for units throughout New York City, not only did they offer to move the contents of our units but guaranteed the same prices for one full year… thumbs up!
At 401 E 110 St we were greeted by the charming associate Lauren, who accompanied my sister and I to view the rooms, perfect 10 ft tall ceilings, a dream come true! Time for the paperwork which is never much fun, yet necessary and when a glitch occurred in the computer the other associate was able to straighten it out pronto. Getting late, I didn’t read the contract thoroughly until the next day and when I saw there was a problem with the start date it was corrected immediately after a phone call… I haven’t actually moved in yet… that will all happen on the 5th and the 6th… so far, so pleasantly pleased…

Fantastic experience with this Manhattan Mini Storage location! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful during my move. They even gave me extra free cold water as I was moving during August/​September. The facility is incredibly clean and secure, plus there is free wifi! I used the storage taxi service on my move out of the unit and they were very flexible with my schedule. One con is that the storage taxi employees are not allowed to help you move things into your apt. Although I didn’t expect them to help, the driver was incredibly nice! Great experience! Will definitely be back again!

Fantastic move in experience today. Booked everything online midweek, including the Storage Taxi. Everything was easy as can be. I booked the 4:00 — 5:30PM taxi time slot. The very courteous driver picked me up at 4:35, helping me load the van quickly and efficiently, and unload just as well once we arrived. I got the tour, finished my paperwork (pre-​filled out by me online), put my stuff in storage, stopped at the amazing bakery across the street for some quiche and ratatouille, and grabbed a cab home. I was home by 6PM, thoroughly happy with the storage unit and the fact that I beat the rain!

Had a great experience with Maria Osborne, Frank Sinanaj and the entire Manhattan Mini Storage team. Frank handled the initial signup, and Maria walked me through the process on site. It was very easy to set up, and there are no surprises — you’re getting exactly what you were promised.

This Manhattan Mini location generally has really good customer service, even when some of the customers are being assholes. I’ve seen an employee here get yelled at for doing exactly what she was told, and then she managed the situation calmly and explained exactly what she was going to do. I totally would have lost my cool in that situation, but the people behind the counter are super professional.
Storage units here are generally not too expensive, and you can nab a student discount if you have a college ID. Something that baffles me is that this location is a lot busier than it seems — it’s a huge building with many floors, but no matter where you are there are always employees and people putting things in storage on your floor! The only thing I’d have to complain about is how difficult it can be sometimes to move the correct ladders to the correct positions, but even that can be avoided by asking an employee (and they’re generally very willing to help!)
In any case, this is my go-​to Manhattan Mini location and I don’t anticipate that changing for a while!

They pretend to offer you carts to help with moving anin and moving out however the carts don’t fit anything and the whelw are broken and the carts actually make it more difficult. Also — the service is severely lacking rude and unhelpful. You’d be better off storing your stuff down by the river.

The 110th facility is clean and easy to use, but long-​term customers get open contempt. My rate has just been raised from $ 29 to $ 38, when newcomers are still being offered the $ 29 rate. The thinking seems to be that once your stuff is there, it’ll be too much hassle for you to move it, so they’ll charge as much as they feel they can get away with. Difficult to avoid the feeling that I’m being punished for being a loyal customer. Very disappointing.

Things were going well, but then near the end things were crappy.
(1) they add on insurance to whatever price they quote you, at minimum $ 12.
(2) bring a fucking lock. They charge you $ 10 for a fucking lock.
And now I’m waiting 1.5 hrs for their «complementary shuttle.»

I haven’t used any other storage options before but this one was really good. They charge about 285 $ a month for a studio-​sized storage room. A couple of times I was late with my payment but they still accepted it without charging additional late fees. The staff at this facility is extremely helpful. They also provide a free taxi for you to bring you with your stuff or to help you bring your stuff from the storage anywhere in the city. The storage facility is not accessible 24⁄7 but it is open pretty late (10 pm or so). Overall good service. I would totally recommend their services to my friends

This writeup is more about the customer service I received while recently renting a new unit. My experience with a young customer rep named Derrick was truly exceptional. I came in to rent then unit on an early Sunday evening. He was the only rep working at the time. Since it was my first time renting a unit I had some paperwork to complete however, Derrick was extremely helpful in explaining the routine and made it seamless. I was about the 4 customer and since he was the only one manning the desk, he managed to effectively communicate with each of us inquiring of our needs and how to help. The other customers and I commented on how well he was handling all of is. It’s very rare that you enter an establishment and are greeted with courteous customer representatives. I definitely would recommend this location to anyone looking for storage. Not to mention they had easy access to parking for loading and unloading!

I would like to start this review by saying, I NEVER take the time to write reviews. So, not only was I dealing with the daunting task of moving, but on top of that moving from New York– which is just harder than it needs to be for anyone. I was looking for a storage space on short notice because I was given the opportunity to take a job in another country for a year performing. I needed a place to put my stuff for the year so I shopped around online. I received a follow-​up call from Manhattan Mini Storage after filing out an online quote. At first, I was annoyed because I was too busy to talk to someone who was trying to sell me something. But Angelique from MMS was so awesome, genuine and helpful that it was far from annoying. She helped me out with a great deal which also included a free taxi service that was prompt within the window of arrival. The taxi picked me up along with my stuff and took it to the storage unit.
Once I got there, paperwork took a little while longer than I expected, but I preferred that because the gentlemen who helped me, Jason, was extremely thorough and very patient answering all of my questions.
The building was extremely clean, air-​conditioned and obviously well kept! My unit was on the third level. MMS provided easily movable ladders that lock into place to help you up to the storage unit. The unit was impressively clean and ready to be moved into!
To say the least, I was EXTREMELY impressed with Manhattan Mini Storage. Impressed enough to go out of my way to write a review to let people know that using a storage space in Manhattan doesn’t have to be a nightmare. Honestly, I was expecting a hellacious experience because I’ve only heard horror stories about storage spaces in Manhattan. After only having 6 hours of sleep within 48 hours from all the previous packing prior to coming to the storage, I managed to leave with a sleepy smile on my face and comforted that my belongings were in the right hands! Thank you for making my move smoother than I could have imagined Angelique and Jason (and the fun guys who picked me up in the taxi)!

We moved on up, to the East Side. To a tiny apartment in the sky. What do we do with all our stuff? Along comes Manhattan Mini Storage to the rescue.
This is a very clean facility that has a very accessible parking lot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are clean.

I’m overwhelmed with joy with the service that I received today from two associates. I want to commend highly this location. I am Speaking of, Ms. Tsahay Burton & Mr. Derrick Bostic, provided excellent service to me on what would have been a normally stressful move. Both, put my mind at ease, making my first time storing my valuables with such alacrity! I plan on recommending this facility to all who inquire!

the customer service is pretty good BUT there is (or was at some pt since 2011) a mouse infestation in the storage units that I didnt find out about until I vacated. hope you like SURPRISES!
I would suggest that any current or future customers put their items in SEALED containers & maybe tossing in some sort of reppellant may help too, not sure. I had some blankets and books inside of cardboard boxes and threw a lot of it away due it being surrounded by mouse droppings. I mentioned this when vacating my unit and was told that someone mustve had food in another unit… yada yada yada. My stuff had been there for 2 years, if at some point MMS knew there was a problem I would have liked to have been notified so I could tighten up any loose laying items. God only knows how long some of it was showered and marinated in rodent fecal matter.

Again, the cust. service is pretty good. So if you already have mice at home or if youre not repulsed by this sort of thing then youll have a perfect experience. as for me on the other hand… im totally GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSED OUT!
