Careful — Everything in this store is all sales final. The selection is also awful, there are tons of other pet supply stores with better selection and less oppressive return policies within a 10 block radius.

This store used to be pretty decent but now seems to be staffed by people who don’t seem interested in either their canine or human customers. I have no complaint on quality of the merchandise. However, this review is prompted by what I thought was a misunderstanding over change — I was short changed and the person insisted they gave me the correct change when they had not. And the experience with this staffer was about on par with my usual experience there — total lack of interest in customer service. So, going forward I will walk a few blocks more to another pet store.

We actually started getting our dog’s food from here because its actually $ 10 cheaper than Petco. (We were very surprised.) However, they are only receiving 4 stars because I have yet encountered any welcoming employees. But, they have all the essentials which is convenient and our dog’s picture is posted in the window collage… which we love!

Terrible store, owner is nasty, hates animals convenient but would never use again.
Had some bad employees (some good as well) the bad ones had the look that I would not like to be alone on the street with.

Convent but not pleasant. One staff woman always whining about her landlord trying to kill her eight cats. I love and have a cat but eight in a small. NYC apartment. I side with the landlord (and poor neighbors)

Eager to help! Went to get Everclean litter upon opting for a small box stating I couldn’t carry the large all the way home the delivery man said he had no problem delivering it right then! They’re open till 8 and deliver that quick. perfect!

I love this place. They always have WD science diet in stock for my dogs and at the best City prices with NO HASSELS. Benny is the best delivery guy in the world. Mary at the counter is super helpful as well. Always nice, helpful and have awesome products and customer service.

When they first opened we were big fans of the selection and service. Lately, both have slipped badly. The store is frequently poorly stocked and the women who work there are horrific. They barely raise their heads from their cell phones to say hello. One is particularly gross. She was working on the afternoon of March 14^th (older, heavy set woman with thinning hair) when I was buying some dog food. The store cat had some sort of accident and this clerk came to the counter after dealing with it, wiped her nasty, dirty hands on a paper towel and proceeded to handle my purchase. Ugh. How about some sanitary wipes, people??? Gross, gross, gross…

I work crazy hours and Litter and Leashes had been great as they are open until 8pm during the week. I had a very busy week last week and was out of special UTI formula wet food for my cat. I got off work and ran to the store and barely made it there at 7:55pm. There were clearly people still in the store and behind the counter and they still didn’t let me in. I tapped on the window and begged to be let in as it was the ONLY day of the week that I had the chance to stop by the store and the guy behind the counter said they were closed. My cat went another 3 days without the special formula until I found
. The greatest website ever. There are a bunch of lazy people working at this place, who appear to care less about animals, and they do not deserve to sell animal products. Their products are also overpriced.
By the way, a couple of months ago, I also asked for any recommendation for a vet as I had recently moved to the area. I made and appointment at the place where they had recommended and not only did they not have my name down, but made me wait for 1 hour until I lost my patience and left… I should have known… They have no idea who the good vets are and they really have no interest in serving the animal community in the area. Shame on them. I will never ever shop there again.

Large store with a good selection, but some of the canned food is O-​L-​D! I mean the label is from two years ago before the brand refreshed it. And most dog food cans don’t give expiration dates so I’m not going to play roulette and hope that the food I buy is still fresh.
Prices? Nothing special. There are at least 3 other pet supply places within a 4-​block radius and L&L’s prices aren’t any lower than them.
Also they apparently have a deal with a dogwalk company that puts a tray of its business cards by the register. Without going into details I know of several worrying incidents involving this company that would make me never consider them for my two schnauzers, and it makes me suspicious about L&L because of that.

Me and my dog love litter & leashes! They carry a wide variety of high quality products & food and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great «VIP» program as well so you get the benefits of the big box pet supply stores while shopping at a great neighborhood store.
