Moved from Upper Manhattan to the middle of Brooklyn. I was initially nervous about my first full move within the city, but these guys made the entire process simple and efficient. They arrived on time (ten minutes early actually) and did not waste any time from start to finish. They were 100% polite, kind, and careful. No issues arose at any point during the move. I would recommend Lift NYC to anyone who wants an easy and worry free move!

DO NOT USE!, I have moved around a lot with my job and have used a lot of moving companies. This is by far the worst we have ever come across. We had a 2 bedroom (+ convertible) apartment the estimate for the move was 3hrs (they had spent 4 hours packing the night before), and after nearly 6hrs the job was complete (they did a fantastic job of «slow rolling» and «milking the clock») and ensured that this job ended just perfectly with the start of their next. To make matters worse, they left the light in our Uhaul on which caused the battery to die… «No worries» they said and indicated they would jump us after the job was done. And I should have been surprised but they took off before giving us a jump leaving us on the side of the road trying to call a road side service company 1.5hrs of waiting for that we are finally on our way.
Called the owner of the company, he could CARE LESS… «Give us a good rating on Unilocal» was the only thing he said.
These guys are clowns, a lot of good movers in NYC don’t waste your time with Lift NYC movers. Give your hard earned dollars to a company with at least some integrity, this company CLEARLY has none. Which I am sure is a direction reflection of the owner.

Constantine, Marco and John were awesome!!! People have given me horror stories about moves. I chose Lift NYC solely based on their Unilocal and Google reviews. They live up to their reputation. My apartment was moved out of in 30min, no joke. They were extremely efficient and polite. I was worried about going over the time they allotted for the move and they finished with plenty of time. Protected all my furniture with pads and taped and secured everything. Highly recommend, no issues with their service whatsoever. FYI — Cash only.

We have moved 5 times in the last 10 years and this move was the best! The move was perfect. Nothing broken. Super fast. Great price. Crew was super polite and respectful. Highly recommend Lift NYC.

I had incredible experience with LIFT NYC MOVERS on a last minute move… the prices are beyond reasonable and Dan, the manager I spoke with to set up the move, was insanely helpful and accommodating! I feel super lucky to have had them make my move and the price they quoted me for my medium sized move was incredibly reasonable and truly HONEST… a rare quality. I only had 15 – 20 large boxes and I appreciate the fact that they didn’t charge me an exorbitant amount for moving them. The movers were efficient, prompt, professional and incredibly comfortable. I experienced a problem with the co-​op rules of my unit and was unable to move on the designated date… To my surprise, the company and the movers worked around my issues, never once complained about the annoyance and the company brought the movers back on a different day WITH NO CHARGE (or attitude)!! Very understanding. Even during the move, they made sure to keep me updated and asked questions if they weren’t certain about the items. I feel really lucky due to all the horror stories I’ve heard about moving in NY… THANKS GUYS and I highly recommend them EVERYONE! Don’t hesitate to reach out to them for an estimate and just give it a shot.

I used Lift to move a 1 bedroom apartment from Greenwich, CT to lower Manhattan last month. The 3 movers — Fed, Eddy and Ant — arrived right on time and loaded everything into the truck in well under an hour. Even though they hit traffic on the way into the city, making them late for their next moving appointment, they made sure to reassemble/​set up all my furniture nicely after arriving at the new apartment. I also own an excessive amount of beer and wine glasses, in addition to other fragile kitchen items, which were handled very carefully — no damage at all. If you’re looking for movers in the tri-​state area, I would highly recommend these guys!

I had lift move me from 116TH street to 111TH street last Thursday, and I could not have been more impressed.
First, they gave me a quote MUCH lower than every other company. Second, communicating with them was a pleasure and having them exchange insurance policies with my condo’s board who required it was SO EASY (I assumed it’d be quite difficult.)
On the morning of, they were right on time — actually a little early. Unfortunately for them, when they arrived I had a ton more than they were expecting to move and was apologizing profusely (expecting a change in hourly rate, but there was not) and all three gentlemen we’re more than team players and agreed «thats ok. we’ll take care of it!» And they absolutely did!
They moved faster than lightning, and broke NOTHING. The last movers we had put holes all over our stairwell claiming its «just to narrow» yet Lift had NO problem what so ever getting all of our furniture out without so much as even a scratch!
They never complained, in fact they took the time to get to know us and have a few laughs in between transporting from the first location to the next!
GUYS, if you’re one of those people who have had a disastrous time moving in the past, and you just really want to get the job done affordably, efficiently, AND have a good time doing it — YOU HIRE LIFT.
I truly mean it when I say i will never hire any other group again! The minimum was 3 hours + 1 hour travel time. Finished our huge move in 1.5 hours, and gave us a 3^rd guy free of charge!

Lift was Amazing. They packed my stuff and moved me from one apartment to another and it could not have been a better moving experience. The entire crew were friendly and professional. I will be using them for my next move!

We hired Lift to move from Midtown to Park Slope. From the moment I first called them, they were polite and professional. On the day of the move, they arrived a few minutes early with tons of tape, boxes, and blankets and packaged everything extremely well. Against all odds, they also disassembled our L-​shaped IKEA couch (a feat requiring three of them, two of us, assorted IKEA tools, and lots of frustration). Then, they put it back together again in exactly the same condition. They also did the same with our bed and other furniture. The final cost was the hourly rate they quoted, but a bit more than expected simply because the move took twice as long as anticipated. We were super happy and will definitely move with them again.

This was the most fantastic moving experience– I truly couldn’t have asked for better. John and his team were quick, efficient, and took very good care of my things. This was the cheapest quote I got from three different movers and they had the best reviews, and every review was honest. The movers were nice, explained the cost to me multiple times, and were super accommodating. Definitely recommend.

Had a terrific experience on a small move. Marko, Stefan and Alex were efficient, careful, and all extremely pleasant to work with. If I had a bigger job, I’d hire them again in a heartbeat.

Marco and Melvin were amazing! they were on time, prompt, and very friendly. The whole process was efficient, nothing was broken and they even wrapped my furniture to ensure protection.
The price was very reasonable and i would recommend these movers to all my friends!

I moved recently and used Lift NYC and could not be more satisfied. Constantine and his team were on time and professional, yet also very personable and kind. I had a lot to move and was leaving a 6^th floor walk up but they worked hard and got the job done fast. I’ve never been more satisfied with a company than I was with Lift. I fully recommend them.

What a fantastic job, I would highly recommend them and will definitely take lift for future moves. They delivered and went beyond our expectation. First they showed up at 9am sharp whereas the manager initially told us that the team would show up between 9 and 10am. The best part is that the team was a crew of 6 movers, yes 6 sharp, strong, kind, polite, professional and handsome movers while the size of the crew agreed on was 4 people.
We moved from a 1000sq feet apt one bedroom (first floor) in uptown Manhattan to a 1100 sq feet two bedroom (third floor) in Jersey city in less than 4 hours, travel time included, yes I insist less than 4 hours!, this not a joke! The moving flow was fast, efficient and went beyond our expectations. Could not dream of a better move. I spent lot of time to select our moving company and what really decide us to go for lift was essentially the price and the excellent reviews this moving company has on Unilocal.The review is not biased and reflect the reality of our move. I am glad that I trusted the Unilocal reviews and choose lift to make our move easier, particularly when you have a newborn to take care during the move. A big thank to Constantine, Martin… Wish I remember the name of each members. BRAVO to lift and see you next time for our next move.

Lift when I moved last week was awesome! The main person (Rachand (spelling prolly wrong — sorry) and everyone else was awesome!
I moved from a third floor walk to a fifth floor walkup! I was only quoted $ 180 an hour!
Not only did they not complain they added a guy for no extra charge (5 guys in the end). If I ever move again I will definitely use them again!

We are quite happy with Lift Movers and with Alex as the lead foreman.
Lift was able to accommodate us with only a week’s notice. They wrapped all furniture well, disassembled some pieces, and no contents of any of our boxes were broken (though some labeled UP were upside down). They provided the moving truck, additional moving supplies, and liability insurance paperwork needed for the building all included in the price.
That said, we thought the price for three hours ($ 800) plus $ 300 for gratuities ended up being a too high to justify for any future moves or to recommend without reservation to friends.

It’s been a while since I worked with Lift, but as I’m looking to move again, I figured I should write up a review since my experience was so positive.
Lift made my move SO easy and pleasant. I had driven with a large truck from Toronto to NYC, and hired Lift to help move a 1-​bedroom apartment worth of belongings. I was moving into a 3^rd floor walk-​up in an old industrial building with very long and steep stairs. The crew didn’t even bat an eye. In addition, because a nearby crew had finished their other job early, they showed up to help us out at no extra cost, to get the work done faster and more efficiently. The move included an almost 500 pound solid oak TV stand, a large L-​shaped couch that is rather unwieldy, and a large, very fragile glass coffee table.
They moved all of the furniture, put it together and cleaned up in record time. They actually moved the furniture around in the apartment for us several times until we’d all decided it looked perfect.

When I called them again about my upcoming move out of the country, they were sadly unable to help us out because of the border crossing. They did however refer us to another company, Roadway, that does the cross-​border moving and is similarly well-​reviewed. Can’t wait for another great experience.
