Liberty Inn

This wonderful grand old hotel was a fun step back in time. The common areas of the hotel were magnificient. You would think you were in a castle overlooking your subjects in the lobby. The old world detail was something to see. There were pictures on the wall of days gone by reminding us of the grandeur of this hotel. We also enjoyed the pool area with its Italian tiles, the steam room, very old school. We were wondering how many deals were cut right there.
Our room was large and clean. But you have to understand that the hotel is almost 100 years old, so the bathrooms while nice, don’t have the same space that you get ibn the newer hotels.

Let me start off by saying there is a lack of information on the website. I wanted to book a room in advance and was unable to do that. I got there early thinking I was going to be able to get the room and just wait for my boyfriend to arrive, but come to find out, both parties have to be present with id order to check in. Good thing I wasn’t trying to surprise him! That’s a dumb rule that isn’t stated on the website so I was highly annoyed. I ended up leaving and coming back later because I knew he wasn’t going to get there anytime soon. I came back later at around 10, this time with my boyfriend, to check in for overnight to find out that check in for overnight in Fridays is after 12! What?! That isn’t stated on the website either. I just couldn’t win that day. Luckily to lady asked me to wait 30 min and she did check me in. Read that overnight was $ 190, but there’s an additional $ 20 deposit that must be in cash that once again wasn’t mentioned on the website. The day was full of surprises with this place. Just got a standard room for the night which was extra small. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a room that small. We were going back out to grab something to eat and we had to leave our key at the front desk until we got bAck… never heard of that before. I guess the pro is that it was clean and didn’t have that nasty seedy motel/​hotel smell. Idk if i would return though.

Edit & update on my experience– I spoke to the owner of this place after a previous complaint and I made the decision that I will NOT be coming back here. I will not tolerate rude front desk. I come to find out that the front desk woman’s ‘concern’ was that she «felt» my partner and I were smoking but that she wasn’t «sure» (so in her mind she felt it was okay to be rude and biased towards us). Ummm how does one ‘feel’ someone has done something and yet accuse them yet they’re ‘not sure’? That really triggered me because she basically assumed we were smoking without any evidence to back up her statement meanwhile there are other customers there as well. Out of all people, why did it have to be us specifically? What facts do you have? Because simply «feeling» we smoked is certainly a biased opinion, not a fact. That really just confirms that this whole time she judged my partner and I based on how we look (which is ignorant) rather than actual facts. I will not condone rude & prejudice behavior from an establishment who «feels» and accuses we’ve done something wrong without facts.
Needless to say I will not come back here and I’m going to leave it as that.
And to the owner: NO I will not take my review down.

I see why the reviews are so weak. I called in advance and asked how much, they said $ 90 for 3 hours. When I get there there is a $ 20 fee on top of it pushing it to $ 110 for a 3 hour stay in a hotel that looks like a prison on the outside. They wait until I arrive to tell me that part after I tried to confirm in advance.
And cash only. Great. Luckily you have an ATM machine that belongs to no bank so «You get a fee! You get a fee! You get a fee! You get a fee! [/​Oprah Voice]» Needless to say, I was not a happy camper.

Very clean! My boo and I come here every week. No wait for us as we like to get our freak on during the weekday. The lady at the front desk is very friendly. Very, very, very clean rooms.
Wish there was another chair or something to get freaky on. If you like to have rough sex like we do the bed is a bit unstable…
You don’t really hear other people unless you are in the hallway. If you’re not loud then honey, he ain’t doin you right!
Plenty of places to eat after you finish eating her. Near the high line so you can get go for a stroll afterwards… that is if you can walk.

Always clean and the view to the place is the best would recommend to people to go to

Hi guys. Sorry it took so long to write my review I been busy with work.
I want to say I had a blast at this place. I plan to take my boyfriend to here for a overnight visit. It was a surprised for him. The lady at the front desk was very nice and patient with me. She show me the different types of rooms. I went with the one on the bottom level with the jacuzzi. It give that love hotel vibe.
On July 4^th of our visit, we was greeted at the desk. The lady at the desk ask for both of our ID, and the full payment for the room, and give us a room key.
When we enter room, it was so cool. The wall was purple and so was the light but you can switch it on to regular light if you want. The bed was big, wide, comfortable and most importantly clean. The bed also have mirror over with it, it was so cool. It’s also have good size flat screen tv and chairs for two.
The best part was the bathroom. It was clean and jacuzzi was amazing. The jacuzzi was so relaxing, something we both really needed.
But overall, I can say that me and my boyfriend had a wonderful time. The only sad part was leaving. We didn’t want to go. I can say I highly recommend this spot for night away from everything so you can focus on you and your love just like in the animé we love to watch. };{

Such a nice looking place, friendly front desk and affordable rates for however long you do what you do. It just sucks that I seen a bed bug on the pillow.

It’s absolutely perfect for what it is. SUPER CLEAN, cozy little rooms. 4 channels of pornos, a Liberator Flip (google this) exercise pad, mirrored ceilings (not in all rooms be sure to ask), and a perfect out of the way spot on the West Side Hwy. Guy behind the check in window is very casual and cheery, with no attitude to be found.
The rates are very reasonable, and if you’re in the mood and feel the need – trust me it’s TOTALLY worth it.
Cannot speak about the lines or wait times other ppl experience because we go at lunch on the weekdays and there’s NEVER a line at that time.

This is the best place to go! The girl at the front desk is super nice. Everything is very clean and the rooms are very well decorated. Also the mirror in the ceiling is great!

I mean its fine, clean and private and it gets the job done. Prices are good related to other places in the city (for real) and is CLEAN… It has a really funky (funky good) atmosphere that makes me feel in a Kubrick’s movie. It gets a little bit crowed sometimes but if you make plans and be prepared to wait there is not much to worry about.
The girl from the bar is super nice, so say hello to her when you go there.

How can this place have great reviews?
The very ghetto, dry black lady at the front says «no rooms.» When is there a room available? Mmmm check back in 30 minutes. Then my friend asks when and she says 1 hour. He says will u tell us when it’s ready? No its first come, first serve. Ok so we’re first. We still have to check back while u check in other people? So ridiculous. She should be fired.

Tried to stay here today only to find out this is a homophobic and bigoted establishment. I am a gay young professional who has a roommate in Manhattan, as well as my partner has a roommate also. This sounded like the perfect getaway for a few hours to have some privacy between ourselves.
I called up to see if any rooms were available around 12PM in the afternoon, and was told numerous rooms were available but they were first come first serve. I immediately hopped in a cab and arrived 15 minutes later. Upon arriving at the Liberty Inn, the man at the counter informed me there was no rooms available. A Hispanic man and women who had been waiting proceeded to be placed in a room, which I was told was the last one. I then proceeded to sit down in the lobby to wait. He then yelled at me from the counter that all rooms were booked until 6PM. I was disappointed and confused because I had just had a conversation 15 minutes earlier, but just assumed maybe they had a rush.
This caused a significant inconvenience because my partner was already on the way, and we had to scramble to make other plans. When my partner met up with me 10 minutes later, he commented on my outfit a low-​cut tank and shorts and thought maybe they were trying to stop a gay clientele from staying. To test this theory, I called the Liberty Inn back in a disguised voice, and was told there was numerous rooms available at the time. I informed the same person in the office I was just there and had spoke to him earlier, and he replied «You are an asshole, don’t come back here!» and then hung up the phone.
From the short time I was in the lobby of Liberty Inn, I saw a married man getting a room with a prostitute, a boss with his secretary for a «meeting», and needless to say the list could go on. That’s this place’s philosophy for you. You can cheat on your wive and bang prostitutes, but whatever you do don’t let any gays in!

In response to the owner, you have given a very detailed account of your perception of what happened. What you fail to explain, and what is the main source of my complaint, is if you have a customer that is willing to wait in your lobby for a room why not let them? According to you, guests check out early all the time which is logical at an hourly hotel. So why would a member of your staff come out of the office and tell a potential customer not to wait? For a minute, let’s forgot about the tone it was said in but we seem to both agree he did say it. Not only did he say it was a 3 hour wait he told me to go to a different hotel down the street. Also, for someone who reviewed the video footage minute by minute did you see a lot of customers check out in the minutes that I walked out? So then when I call back 15 minutes later, how did no rooms too «a few» become available? If you review the video and see «a few» people checking out after I left, I will gladly delete my review and apologize. I stand by my perception of what happened that day. And if your unclear of how your business and clientele is perceived, please speak to a local police officer.

Had an amazing time!!! The room was perfectly sized, and SUPER clean. The hourly rates are reasonably priced. We paid $ 90 (plus a $ 20 cash deposit that you get back before you leave) for 3 hours. There was no wait time for our room. They give you a courtesy call 20 minutes before your time is up. I will definitely come back here again!

The jacuzzi rooms are great if you can get one, they are additional $ 20. Prices range from $ 70 – 100 during the week for 2 – 3 hrs… to 80 – 120 on weekends. Friday/​Saturday nights you may have to wait, and they do not take reservations. Also after midnight the minimum stay is 3 hrs.

We had an amazing experience! I surprised my husband for Valentine’s Day! We got the Ladies Special «50 Shades» It was amazIng! They were so accommodating, we got lots of free goodies, the room was beautiful and clean and so much fun! The price was great especially since we got so many extra prices and champagne! Thank you Liberty Inn for making our Valentine’s Day Hott and Special! Definitely going back and you should too! :)

For what is it mainly used for (fucking) this motel/​hotel (HOLIDAY INN! Sorry, had to throw in that Pitbull reference) is the place to go in the city. This sex motel/​hotel (HOLIDAY INN!) is pretty discreet, low key and unless you read this review or go there to seal-​the-​deal, most other people won’t realize what kind of establishment this is.
The prices here are reasonable. Some might freak out over the prices depending on your budget or where you come from BUT for the location you’re in and for the services you get, its really worth it. For short 3 – 4 hours stay its about 90 – 120 bucks depending if you get a regular room or a room with a hot tub. And for an over night stay its about 160 – 180 bucks or so.
The prices are well worth it I feel. Though the rooms are quite small, they’ll do perfectly fine for fucking, recovering and perhaps some cuddling afterwards. The rooms are also really immaculate, sanitary and it never feels like you just laid on some other persons love juice. Every time I’ve been in a different room, it feels like I walked into a giant, brand new sneaker/​shoe box or brand new car.
Each rooms décor is different and comes equipped with a black light, which sets the mood I suppose. Some have ceiling mirrors or «romantic» paintings on the wall, there’s TV with porn, and they all have very clean bathrooms that have the basic toiletries.
There’s also a dispensary with condoms and lube and of course one for soda, water and other snacks.
If you don’t have your own place or can’t bring your company back to your own place, or if you’re just visiting out of town and looking for a place to get your groove on, whatever the case may be that you need a place to pork, then you really can’t go wrong with this place. One block away from the Hudson River and Chelsea Piers, right next to the high line. You can’t lose!
P. S.: I didn’t want to write a review about this place because it sorts of a hidden gem. Most people I know don’t have a clue about this place BUT I felt I would be doing a service for those who don’t have anywhere else to pork. Just say the secret password when you go in.

If you’re looking for a hourly hotel with reasonable rates, this is the place to go. $ 70 for 2 hours isn’t bad at all, and it’s probably the best deal you can find for the cleanliness level. The rooms are a bit small, but are enough to accommodate their purposes. And the décor is colorful and fun, which really sets the mood. So if you’re in the area and looking for a place to host your spontaneous intimate excursions, I would recommend Liberty Inn.

I’ve been here twice. Don’t judge me. They don’t take reservations and have hourly rates, so you know what you/​I came here for. The first time I was there, I was in a room close to the lobby, and the door was very loud with people entering and exiting the hallway. Ceiling and wall mirrors were AWESOME (I love mirrors), room was clean, lighting was perfect, and had a jacuzzi. Second room was less fab. Smaller, no jacuzzi, no ceiling mirror. Still clean with nice lighting though. Too bad you can’t make a reservation to make sure you get the room you want.

Just by writing a review of this place, you all now know my bizness. *smirk* But that’s not going to stop me, because even I am laughing at my latest antics. I ended up outside of Liberty Inn the other day with a friend, but I didn’t actually know where I was, so I texted another friend the address and prompty discovered that I was at a rather famous pay-​by-​hour sex hotel… which made sense given the company, but was still a bit surprising.
Let me tell you, this place is high-​larious. «Couples,» if you can call them that, standing around outside, waiting everywhere to «get a room» for a few hours… the waiting bit is funny because if there are a lot of people (and there were), they heckle each other and fight to keep their spot in line, because the concierge (or whatever) doesn’t really do a great job of keeping track of what’s going on. But when it’s your turn, you fill out a form, fork over some cash (pay per hour), and get a key to a room.
Now, not gonna lie, I looked up Liberty Inn in the bedbug registry while waiting in line. It had no reported incidents as of the day I was there. The room way VERY clean, and there were cleaning ladies bustling around everywhere while we waited (we were outside waiting, but as it started to downpour, we got stuck inside).
What’s inside a Liberty Inn hotel room? Well, a bed, a TV (with free porn — really), and a tiny bathroom. And really, that’s it. There are, much to my dismay, mirrors all over the ceiling and walls (yuck!), and there are some crazy blue florescent lights. You know, to set the mood. I guess that’s all you really need, given the utilitarianism of this place.
Apparently Liberty Inn is one of the only remaining establishments of its kind in post-​Guilliani NYC. If you’re open-​minded and this is the type of cultural history/​activity that titilates you, I definitely recommend checking it out. This cultural historian was there along with hookers, married dudes, normal-​seeming couples, teens, porn-​actress-​looking chicks, and creepy old men. It’s New York City, so why the hell not?
