Worst customer service ever. It would be nice if they hired workers who had even the tiniest bit of common sense. But no this is real world, that doesn’t happen.

Order said 20 mins estimate. Seamless sent a text message and an hour later my food still wasn’t there l. Arrived extremely late. I called the restaurant and they said it was«out for delivery» and still waited for a long time. Horrible customer service. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone to order.

Add Lenwich by Lenny’s to the famous Lennys short list which consists only of Lenny(and Carl) from the Simpsons, Lenny from Of Mice and Men, and Kravitz. The Lenwich is a concerto of corned beef and hot pastrami, scintillating Swiss, crunchy ‘slaw and minimally dressed in Russian. You have the option of different sized breads dependent on your hangry levels.

I am glad this place uses the levelup app(yay for discounts!) and is near the office. For those who, like me, want to check out nutritional information before going somewhere for the first time, or want to check what is really in what they are ordering, I really, REALLY like that they have nutritional information online. I can see why some of the reviewers mentioned confusion as to the layout etc. I usually just come here for salad, which is ordered and paid for at one side of the room. They also have other counters for ordering, plus another counter for payment, and when it is the lunch rush you can’t see the signs right away. As for the food — the price is pretty standard for the area — about $ 9 for one of their specialty salads. The staff is pretty accommodating about switching out ingredients for others that are the same price.(Most of these salads are cheaper this way instead of building your own with the same amount of ingredients.) Today I had a sandwich for the first time — the vegetarian — which was really good! It was on the low end of the price and calorie count because I had it on wheat bread, instead of a hero or wrap or whatever the other options were. My one gripe with the sandwich, which you can see in the picture — the avocado is the most filling item between the breads but it isn’t applied(is that the right term?) from one side to the other. There were some bites without any avocado and, by the end bites with not much of anything.

It’s not the cheapest sandwich place, but the Lenwich sandwich is worth every penny. Pastrami, corned beef, cole slaw on marble rye. It’s huge. And delicious. If I could eat only one sandwich the rest of my life, this would be it.

Annoying and confusing ordering system. Seriously, there are lines for each type of food(salad, sandwich, pastries, etc) they have. Even the Penn Station location isn’t as complicated and there’s more people coming in and out of there, supposedly. I ordered one of my favorite sandwiches, the Emma, and it felt a lot thinner than what I’d usually get at the Penn Station location. By the time I went up to the register, the cashier was really odd. Her mind was just lost and somewhere else, and she even rotated with another team member in the middle of my transaction… WTH! I know they’re trying to keep up with the separate lines system that pretty much most food places in FiDi have adapted, but it is absolutely the worst and most of the time, disorderly. Wasn’t a filling sandwich as I’d have liked, but sadly, this is the only Lenny’s closest to my job.

Very good sandwich shop on Park Place near Church St. They make salads and hot and cold sandwiches. Lots of seating. Very bright and clean. They give you a pager when you place your order. Pick up a drink and chips, pay at the cashier, find a seat, then pick up your order when your pager buzzes. The subway runs underneath, so you might feel the floor quietly vibrate now and then. A touch of NYC. You can always pick up to go. City Hall Park is a block away. Subways nearby are the A, C, E, 2 and 3 on Church and the N on Broadway. Close to the Woolworth Building, Park Row, 26 Federal Plaza, and the World Trade Center.

If you like the process of ordering a sandwich to take on the Byzantine complexity of a NASA shuttle launch, then Lenny’s may be the place for you. First you order but you don’t pay at counter 1. They give you a buzzer to let you know your food is ready. Then you need to pay at counter 3. There is no counter 2. Counter 3 will give you an *empty* plastic bag. You then stand for an indeterminate amount of time looking awkward with other empty-plastic-bag-wielding customers. When your buzzer finally starts vibrating you mistakenly go to counter 3 and are told to go to the Order Pickup counter where you pickup your food. Hooray!

Sometimes Unilocal does the work for me: «Eek! Methinks not.» That sums up Lenny’s. A few co-workers said I should check it out. So using less judgment than I should have I made the long walk on a nice day. The inside itself is visually appealing enough. I went at 2pm but it is obviously made to deal with the cattle cars of arriving light blue shirts that hit sometime around noon. They do the whole order here, pick up here, pay here thing with a buzzer that I think is wholly overkill. Regardless it took them 10 minutes to make my sandwich when it was dead empty. I ordered«The Big Daddy» on a whole wheat roll. The big daddy was over $ 9 after taxes, woefully small, and apparently contained: «Grilled Steak, Avocado, Melted Fresh Mozzarella, Crispy Onion, Roasted Red Peppers & Sriracha». All I tasted was dried out steak-umm and red peppers. Hell, the diet pepsi max I was drinking with it had a more distinct flavor. Never again.

Listen the salad guys are top marks, always greeting you with a smile and a helping hand. I’ve had good and bad experiences here with the sandwiches. More than once I’ve waited easily 15 minutes for a sandwich and sometimes I get it right away. I think it can depend on the type of sandwich and the time you get there. That being said it is a go to joint for lunch in a neighborhood that doesn’t have a lot of options.

This Lenny’s in particular is special. They have a hot food counter with fresh food daily. The main server is the best. Very nice guy and makes in my opinion this Lenny’s worth going to. Also the staff are all very polite here no matter how busy it gets. And it does get busy. Best time to go is before 12 and after 2 to beat or dodge the rush. Just know if you want the hot food its first come first serve. By coming late you might not get a big choice. I really do love this place.

I don’t know what just happened here. We ordered a couple soups, no one on the soup line. I watched the really friendly guy who works the hot food section pour both into cups, and seal the top with a lid. This is where it gets good. Instead of handing us the soups, he logs it in and we get a receipt to pay up front, and a beeper device that will go off when ready. Huh? And you couldn’t hand us the soup because? It’s completed, with a lid. As far as I’m concerned that soup is ready to be handed off to us. So we paid for the soups, went back to hot food pick-up section and waited for our beepers to go off. About a minute later they did. The difference with what we could have received earlier, or what we received now, was that the individual soups were now in tiny paper bags with a spoon inside. So we placed the soups into a bag that we received when we paid and went back to the office. Although I don’t agree with it, I can understand following this system if I’m waiting for my food to be prepared — while it’s being prepared I can use that otherwise lost time waiting around to make the payment. But not in this case. Soups were fine, the staff is always friendly, but the soup ordering system is very flawed and overly complex for reasons I can’t begin to understand. Salads are great, but similar to the soup system above, which demonstrates an inability to think outside the box, you can’t mix ingredients when they are set. I wanted to get a Mandarin salad that comes with grilled chicken switched to buffalo chicken. Same price point, but they are not allowed to switch. I even offered to pay an upcharge. No go. Not a bad place, just poorly managed. There must a play book they are not allowed to stray from.

eh this place is OKAY. I stopped in here for lunch one day a few weeks after it first opened and really liked the open feel of it: The positives: tons of seating friendly staff very clean The negatives: Sadly, my sandwich sucked, as in I threw half of it out after shoving half down because I spent nearly $ 10.00. I ordered the classic which is grilled chicken, mozz, lettuce, red peppers and grilled onions. The chicken had a weird rubbery consistency and was pretty bland. I would come back to give this place another shot since a few of my coworkers enjoy their salads but would probably avoid the chicken.

Bomb sandwiches! Super helpful and friendly staff. I love the set up in here. The seating is conducive for peer lunches or dining for one. It is an open floor layout and has cool artwork. The sandwiches are made with quality ingredients on soft, fresh bread. I would have given them 5 stars if they had not given me the wrong sandwich. Although the«wrong» sandwich was delicious I still wanted the one I ordered gosh darn it!

Had Lenny’s for the first time today. I was confused at first since there’s 3 places you have to go to to finally get your order. The staff here don’t seem friendly and in a bad mood as if they don’t want to be there.(Maybe it was the rain) However they did do their jobs and were quick. Besides that everything else was great. Very spacious and clean. I ordered the Pastrami with rye bread and American cheese. It was veryyy good and hit the spot. Way better then subways for sure! Price was fair too about 7 dollars and change which is reasonable. I sure will go back to this place in the future.

I’ve been going to Lenny’s Sandwiches at the new place that opened on Park Place in the Financial District. I am a fan of their H4(aka fatty sammich, in my own mind). It is made with a heaping mound of fresh sliced turkey and pastrami and then topped with cole slaw, russian dressing and cheese. It’s so big that I can only eat half at a time. That’s what she said! The sandwiches are fresh due to the fresh ingredients. I like that the hero version of the H4 only sets me back about $ 10.50 which is a deal in these parts. I highly recommend. I’ve been wanting to try other sandwiches but this is so good that I’m afraid to venture away from it and be disappointed.

Lenny’s gets a three because it is always good to have a new place to add to the«where will we order lunch today?» whine. The delivery was a bit slow but no worse than some of the other local places [Stage Door Deli on Vessey street is usually the fastest most reliable in the City Hall area] . They managed to substitute white bread for the requested rye bread on my pastrami/corned beef — that should be a red flag right there. That should be like mustard on peanut butter or bleach and ammonia — any grown-up should know not to do that. As mentioned in another review they have an administrative charge for taking your delivery order that they clearly tell you that the delivery help will not be getting any of the money.(the house pockets 5% on catering orders and just a buck on the other orders.) They charge you a fee for placing an order — hmmm

Having gone to their John Street location back when I was working on William Street, I didn’t have too much hope for their new location on Park near my current office. This new location is larger and brighter than the John Street locale, and the staff is definitely friendlier. You get a different feeling coming into this place, and it’s a generally positive one. As they apparently have a high volume of customers, you go to the back to order and, in return, are handed a ticket and one of those restaurant pagers meant to go off when your food is ready. I went back to the front, paid, and waited for the lights and buzzing. After about five minutes I got my #5, the JimmyT, which is a chicken cutlet parm roll with sweet peppers. It was plenty tasty, though not that big. They definitely won on providing a better experience, and the food seems better(though I have to go back for their H1 – Turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, gravy – because only then can I really compare what I got from the other location to see if the Park Place location is an improvement).
