Long story short — I was with Virginia before this Groupon fiasco.
I went away for a few months, came back — she was M.I.A.
I tried contacting her many times — no replies or anything.
I am $ 200 short, and am unhappy.
I was only able to get this info from the NYS Records Dep’t.
If anyone has any legal connection — or is fancy with record searching, please let us know — I believe she’s stolen thousands:

Why I’m most disappointed was that I liked her. Been with her for over 2 years, and she treated me like this, not to mention others?
Lesson be learned: sometimes there is no lesson… oh, and Groupon usually is a win for the consumer only, Google search how businesses that sign up with them usually go under… but she should still be 100% accountable

I knew Virginia was sketchy after she kept rescheduling my appointments without even a phone call. She rescheduled via google calendars without checking with me to see if that date was okay. I also paid for the whole leg laser treatment and she only did half of my leg and explained that since she only did the bottom leg the first time, I can no longer do the whole leg. It didn’t make sense to me.
I would like my money back!!!

Just wish to share with people who bought groupon and couldn’t finish the treatments with her: I called Groupon and got my credit back. You might wanna do the same thing!

I had a very good experience with Virginia…
Until she disappeared without notice and screwed over all of her clients. The phone number is not in service anymore. The Face Station, where her office was located, doesn’t know where she went. I have tried emailing and calling for several months now.
There must be something we can do. She basically stole money from all of the people who did not get the treatments they paid for. Anyone know a good lawyer? Maybe we could file some kind of combined lawsuit against her. The $ 200 in services I was promised, plus all of the money she took from other clients must amount to a lot.
It’s all a shame too because I actually really like her. The treatments were going well and she was always so friendly. I wonder what the heck happened that she would just up and leave like this. But she has, and like many others, I am furious.

I had the exact same problems as everyone on here. The number on her website is now disconnected.
I was very happy with these services and seeing results. Then all of a sudden Virginia canceled my appointment back in March and made me reschedule for 6 weeks later. When you are on a set hair removal schedule you know that you cannot wait an extra 6 weeks in-​between treatments. I went to that appointment. The next one she canceled on me the day of the appointment, and wanted me to then reschedule for weeks later. If you are canceling the appointment on me the day of, then it is your responsibility to come in an hour early to make time of rme since it is not my fault that you canceled the appointment.
AFTER THAT, I had another appointment. I took a long lunch and rescheduled my plans to come to the appointment, as I always do. I walked into the offices and they said she didn’t come into work that day.
I received no phone call, no nothing. Then someone emailed me saying they would be in touch. Really? Because no one has contacted me since.
I paid money for these laser sessions and I feel that Virginia & Laser Spa NYC is a completely irresponsible business that does not know how to properly deal with clients when unforeseen circumstances occur. It is your responsibility to show up to work, to tend to your paying customers. I have always been prompt, and nice, and have always given you a tip.
She is taking my money, and just running with it. If she couldn’t handle all of the groupons, then she shouldn’t have agreed to it. That is not my problem. She should have done whatever she needed to do to make her clients happy and to tend to her paying customers. If that means coming in early, and staying late to keep good business? Then so be it.
This business is/​was run EXTREMELY POORLY and I will be contacting her AGAIN, as well as groupon to attempt to get a refund since she just dropped off the face of the planet.
The actual service was good… when one of my appointments was actually kept. The way the business is run is extremely poor, one of the worst I have seen. The irresponsibility and immaturity of the owner is atrocious.

I also found Laser Spa NYC through a groupon last year. The facility (room) was less than ok but Virgina seemed nice enough and I found the treatments to be working decently.
She charges a fee but constantly reschedule appointments late with you. I didn’t mind this so much, these things although unprofessional, happens to everyone.
About 4 months ago, she had to cancel our appointment with an out of office email. I gave her some time thinking she went on an irresponsible vacation. This month I tried calling her number which no longer works, emailing her which she’s no longer replies to, the Face Station salon says she doesn’t come to work anymore.
I’ve always treated Virgina with respect and kindness (I know you read these reviews) and she scammed me of 550 dollars. It’s a lot of money. I am currently trying to find legal ways to reclaim and find justice as what she did to me and others here is just not right.
If anyone ever meets a technician by the name of Virgina, I hope you steer clear.

I got 2 groupon deals for 159 for 6 sessions and full legs and 200 for brazilian — I thought it was a good deal and grabbed it and was not dissatisfied for the first 3 sessions. I liked the machine she used — it didn’t hurt and used the cool air and Virginia seemed nice and very friendly. I was recommending her to my friends until.
For my third session, she sent an email the day of and canceled my appointment stating that she was sick (which is fine. you can’t avoid that). But when I called to reschedule, I was given an appointment almost about 1 month later — this was an issue because of the hair growth cycle.
When you cancel an appointment, you have to somehow fit the person in for the next appointment at the earliest especially if YOU are the one who canceled. Her excuse was she didn’t do evening hours. She asked me to come in at 1pm (which is not possible for a working person). and also FYI she makes you sign a contract whereby if you don’t give her a 24 hour notice for an appointment cancellation, she charges you a $ 100 fee. I guess she forgot to mention that it was OK if she cancelled and that it is extremely hard to get evening appointments! Anyway moving on.
After my fourth appointment, she again canceled my fifth appointment on the day of. stating that she was sick and that I should call her for rescheduling. I contacted and emailed her. no response. She contacted me after a week giving me an appointment 2 months away. At this point, I blew up. That was not acceptable — she canceled and didn’t give me appointments messing up my entire treatment. I was still patient with her and asked her to reschedule all my future appointments in advance at a month long interval so that I don’t have to go through this again. This somehow made her angry and she said that she didn’t want to work with me. I told her that either I wanted the rest of my groupon money refunded or she would have to work with me. In the end, she refunded me my money. and so glad she did because about 6 months after 4 treatments on legs. my hair growth has not reduced that much and I have had excellent results at other places.

After having to find a new laser technician when Laser Spa NYC disappeared out of nowhere (now over a month and no response from her), I was told that the reason I did not see more/​better hair reduction was that some of the hair was too light. While this does necessitate that I retract my speculation that the unsatisfactory results were the fault of Virginia and/​or Laser Spa NYC, it leads to an equally disturbing conclusion. That is, when I went to my first appointment ever, Laser Spa NYC didn’t have the courtesy to inform me that my results would be limited. Instead I spent my money and expected significant hair reduction because she never told me otherwise. At this new place, the woman looked at it and in a matter of seconds was able to «diagnose» the situation with a professional explanation. Not only that but this new woman would have gotten my business had she told me «yes it was done poorly,» and instead she told the truth and told me not to waste any more money for marginal results based on my hair color.
So, the «poor results» are not the fault of Laser Spa NYC, but not advising me up front that I was potentially wasting my money — bad if not worse than my original speculation.

Let me start by saying: I usually never write the reviews unless I really hate or love something. In this case this is the former. I was giving this place the benefit of the doubt, but is seriously fed up now. I guess, you get what you pay for and sometimes even less. I have purchased the Groupon for 6 laser treatments for me and my best friend. I have previously had laser treatments at another place about 5 years ago and was very satisfied with the results. So I thought I would get this groupon for touch-​up purposes.
I could already tell the difference in service after my first visit. When I used to have laser treatments at another place, the technician spent at least 40 minutes while Virginia (the Laser Spay NYC technician) devoted the whole 5 minutes on the same exactr area!!! Obviously, after 3 treatments, even the few supposed to be touched-​up hairs, that I hoped to be gone, were still there. Don’t get me wrong, Virginia is a sweet young woman, but does a sloppy job. I was hoping that after a few treatments I would see the results and did not want to write anything negative. Alas!
On top of all the above, the salon charges $ 50 if you reschedule your appointment in fewer than 24 (or maybe 48 hours, cannot recollect exactly) while Virginia had the nerve to reschedule it 3 times on the short notice with my friend and once with me. Honestly, this was the last straw. She showed no respect for her clients’ time. At the time I arrived at my appointment today, I received an EMAIL calendar invite with apologies and asking to reschedule AN HOUR before the actual appointment. It took me 1.5 hours on the train only to get there!!! And when I got off the subway, I noticed the cancellation. She did not even extend the common courtesy to call, which potentially could have saved me a trip. I feel quite frustrated to say the least and will be calling Groupon to get at least some of my money back, if possible.

I also purchased a Groupon for this laser «spa» and am on my fifth visit — that is, if Virginia will actually keep my appointment this time. Given the price of the Groupon I wasn’t expecting much which was confirmed when I came for the first time and discovered that the spa is actually a tiny «room”/closet inside a hair salon run by 1 person. Definitely no frills and definitely not a spa. The laser treatment was fine (again, for the price) but doesn’t compare to the service I received at Pulse for my other laser hair removal treatments. I was willing to deal with that since $ 159 for full legs is a great deal.
However, my last two appointments with Virginia were canceled at the last minute. The first one was scheduled 2 months prior to the appointment and was canceled an hour & half before I was supposed to be there, the second one was rescheduled a couple days later and got canceled on the morning of. I never got an apology or an explanation for why she canceled on me. I understand that unforeseen circumstances pop up for everyone, but when you make an appointment with a business you expect the business to keep that appointment, especially when the business made a point of telling you at your first visit that canceling with too little notice would be subject to a charge and she takes down your credit card number in case that happens. I told her I was disappointed that she canceled twice on me and all I got in response was «Unfortunately It was out of my control.» Really? That’s all you have to say? How about a little professionalism — scratch that, a little human decency — and apologize for the inconvenience you caused? Considering how no frills this place is I wasn’t expecting any of the compensation that you would normally get at a reputable spa for a situation like this, but I didn’t think an «I apologize for the trouble I put you through» would have been too much to ask. If you expect your customers to keep the appointments they make with you, it’s only logical for us to expect the same from you.
I’ll stick the last two sessions out assuming the appointments actually get kept and update the stars accordingly in a few months, but as it is I’m really glad I didn’t buy any additional sessions here. I’d recommend paying a bit more for other laser hair removal Groupons, the lower price here isn’t worth it.

I had an emergency and could not come in. I had apologized and said it was beyond my control and you saying i have no common decency is disgraceful. No one has ever forced you to come in and you’ve never had a problem with the space or size of it before.
Please consider our appointments canceled.
At the time of our initial appointment you sighed a contract with terms that you agree to and no one makes you sign.
One happens to be that I may refuse service to s client that I don’t see fit to work

I think this speaks for itself. This is the level of professionalism you can expect if you choose to come here.
1) She never apologized — what she did was call at 4pm for a 5:30 appointment and say «Hi I need to cancel our appointment today, can I call you later to reschedule? Okay great, thanks bye.» At least the second time she gave a bit more notice by sending a cancellation notice via Google Calendar — not a phone call, not an email: a calendar update — at 8:48 am the morning of a 5:30 appointment.
2) Virginia DOESN’T have common decency. If she did she’d have consideration for other people, which she obviously doesn’t given the last minute cancellations and lack of ANY sort of acknowledgement of the inconvenience she puts her CUSTOMERS through. I shudder to think how she treats people she isn’t paid or tipped to keep appointments with.
3) I still don’t have a problem with the «space or size of it» — see «I was willing to deal with that since $ 159… is a great deal.» This is a review of a business. Was I inaccurate in my description of the size and location of this «spa?»
If, after reading all the 1-​star reviews for this place (check out the filtered reviews too; this is not an isolated incidence) you still want to give your money to this «establishment,» I give you this bit of advice: don’t think of this place as a business. Don’t expect to be treated with professionalism. It’s much easier to swallow if you think of this as that one time you paid some random chick to point her laser at you than to think of this as a real spa.
I wouldn’t be surprised if she closes down after all the Groupons run out.

I never write reviews but this place is so bad I feel I have to warn others. I currently get last hair removal at Pulse salon for several small areas and I love their services. However, in regards to laser hair removal for full legs, it is quite expensive. That led me to buy the groupon for $ 159 for full legs. And, you get what you pay for.
It took two weeks for Virginia to call me back to schedule my first appointment, and I had waited over 2 months after the groupon ended to make that appointment figuring she was overwhelmed. I had emailed her as well, which she didnt respond to.
FIrst appointment: the dirty room is within a grimy hair salon. Dimensions are approximately 10 by 7-​tiny. The machine takes up most of the space and blows hot air on you while you are getting treated. There were flies buzzing around the room the whole time. I confronted Viriginia as to why she didnt call me back in regards to my first appointment, and she said the phones were down. I said, what about your cel phone (I had emailed her my #). She said that was down too. Huh?
After the first appointment, I noticed none of the hair fell out. It just continued to grow. I am very familiar w/​laser treatment and I know this is not good. I decided to give her benefit of the doubt and went back. The maching stopped working FOUR times. Also, the hair did not fall out again. I think she is a fraud and this groupon was a rip off. Also, I think that all the filtered 4 star reviews are fake-​hence the reason why they were filtered. Stay away from this place. I implore you.

BEWARE!!! This «laser spa» is filthy and located in a dirty, cramped corner of a sketchy hair salon. There is only one technician, Virginia, who is unbelievably disorganized and flaky. Appointments require numerous phone calls to track her down. When I arrived for mine 15 minutes early, she had screwed up the scheduling so I was forced to wait an hour. When she finally was ready, I mentioned that I didn’t appreciate having to wait so long in the middle of a work day to which she replied, «well, I’m working too you know, my time is valuable.»
I would strongly discourage anyone from going to this place — you get what you pay for with this place!

Got a deal from groupon last month… And today was my 2^nd visit!
With my groupon, I had my upper lip done, and i can see the results right away!
virginia is the sweetest lady ever! And she knows her stuff too!
The minute i arrived at the place, i felt comfortable!
Making an appointment is not that hard too! She’s very accommodating!
Oh, and She also offered me an awesome deal for me to do brazilian (which i started just today. Updates on that soon!)
So far, im very very satisfied, and i really think that this place is for keeps!
