The calzone and shrimp pesto was excellent. I also order the sausage and peppers, also excellent.

Low price for huge portion and great food! The eggplant parmigiana was so good. I will definitely get that again.

Decent pizzeria around NYP. I really had no idea what to get for lunch and decided to try out La Crosta after hours of Unilocaling places nearby. I really like the décor of this place! The chairs are really comfy and the place is not oily and greasy like most pizzerias. The guy in charge was super nice and accommodating! Veal cutlet parmigiana– Pretty standard tastes. Nothing extraordinary but it wasn’t bad either. It tastes like what a parm should taste like. It also comes with spaghetti which I thought was pretty good and bread that was really tasty! It was about $ 11 but portions are pretty big and I was actually able to split it into two meals. Overall this is a good option for food if you work at NYP. The prices are pretty good for the UES and the food is up to par. I look forward to coming back and trying the rolls and strombolis next time!

I was really excited to try La Crosta because it’s a convenient stop in my neighborhood with pretty solid reviews and I always like trying new places. My boyfriend and I ordered take-in, he got the gyro platter and I ordered eggplant rollatini. Long story short, the food was inedible. Something in my rollatini was rancid — I believe it was the ricotta cheese. It wasn’t even eggplant rollatini. They just took pieces of eggplant, threw some ricotta cheese inside of it, and topped it with what seemed to be acidic jarred sauce. Eggplant rollatini is supposed to be baked but the rancid ricotta cheese seemed straight out of the jar — nothing was baked through. The meat on my boyfriend’s gyro platter seemed very old and stale. It wasn’t the right color — I know this sounds ridiculous but it looked blue-ish. Not to mention his pita was stale — it seemed like they tried to toast it to cover the stale-ness but it crumbled when he tried to rip it apart. Plus, his fries were soaked in grease. The only thing edible in the entire meal was the salad. My boyfriend will eat anything and even he turned and said it was inedible. I called the restaurant(because, spoiled food) and they wouldn’t give me a refund, only a credit towards my next meal but I don’t think I will be ordering from them again. So I lost my money along with the spoiled meal I threw out in the garbage on my way to pick up some tasty, edible food at Delizia 73. Seriously, just go to Delizia. Trust me on this one.

This pizza is the epitome of doughy and crunchy crust. Perfect cheese to sauce ratio. It’s amazing. No joke, give it one opportunity and you’ve found you’re joint!!!

Ordered from here for the first time for delivery and they were extremely fast! I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and it it arrived even before the allotted wait time. When I first received the food I noticed that the portions were very generous for the price and the minimum order price for delivery was very reasonable compared to other Italian restaurants. I am very pleased with the food that I ate and will definitely keep them in mind the next time I have a craving for pasta.

Solid fast Italian food. This place is around the corner from my apt and never noticed it before! Ordered to — go, and it was very fast. The place has tables if you want to eat there Had the eggplant parmesan. Big portions and tasty. Not spectacular, but good. Inexpensive too. Worth checking out if you’re looking for italian and don’t want to break your wallet.

Great Cobb salad for the price. I was incredibly pleased. Decent size, good ingredients, delicious bacon, really tasty Balsamic Vinagrette. Don’t know if I’d try other stuff based on the reviews, but this salad was a winner. Delivery was pretty quick, too.

Penne alla vodka is very good! It’s more of a creamy sauce than red heavy but– it really hits the spot. Whoever was running orders on Sun, March 16 at noon did a great job. We are very satisfied with the pasta and delivery time!

La Crosta has the best pizza on the upper east side! They deliver quickly and the pizza is always amazingly fresh. If you like a decent sized crust(not too thin or thick) and melty delicious cheese, this is DEFINITELY the place for you! I have not tried their pasta or salad but I can absolutely recommend their cheese pizza.

This is one of default lunch places for delivery at work. I’ve had their buffalo wings(more sweet than spicy… actually not spicy at all) and the philly cheesesteak, which comes with peppers and onions. It does the trick when you’re hungry, but they won’t be winning any prices for«most delicious» in anything that I’ve tried. Plus points for speedy delivery.

Ordered penne vodka for delivery. It came within 25 minutes and they listened to my special instructions. Penne vodka was very good. And the bread they give you is toasted and delicious

Ordered 12 pizzas and a lot of Cesar salad to feed ~45 people so I can’t talk about the ambiance or waiter service. Pizzas were nice and warm at pickup though seemed a bit greasy when cold. I appreciated that they used fresh mushrooms/peppers and weren’t stingy with the toppings. Sausage was a bit strange in that it just looked like a brown version of pepperoni, so some people were initially confused. Value was good with a 10% discount on large orders. Salad was in generous portions(8 «orders» became two huge trays) and quality was ok, simple romaine and croutons with Parmesan cheese. For restaurants in this area, it’s a reasonably good deal, but obviously there is much better pizza to be had elsewhere in NYC.

I ordered from here while dogsitting for a friend in the area. I really wanted fried calamari, so I ordered that and the penne alla vodka to hit the minimum delivery amount. The food came at a pretty decent rate, so no complaints there. I happily dug into my food and had very mixed feelings. The fried calamari was pretty good, nice and crispy and well-seasoned. It was slightly a bit chewier than expected, but it was overall a decent appetizer. I like that it also came on a bed of greens. However, the penne alla vodka was not good. The sauce was really watery and very bland. It didn’t taste like vodka sauce at all to me. I only took a few bites before realizing I wasn’t having a good time. I ended up finishing my calamari and throwing the pasta out. I might try some other dishes here before writing this place off, because the calamari was pretty good.

Ordered their falafel-hummus pita for lunch & it was delicious. I’m kinda picky with falafel but this was definitely to my liking! I ordered ahead and it was ready for me when I got there. Good service-they even made sure to give me a cold container of tahini sauce on the side, instead of the one that had been in the bag when they first made my order. & for $ 5, such a deal! Will order again!

There was a fingerprint in my pizza… Yeah, wasn’t feeling that… The pizza is NOT the business. I’ve had better service, taste, & cleanliness… –_–

This is my local neighborhood pizza place near my office. Only been here for lunch. They had a complete rennovation a few years ago that gives is a nicer overall look, but not very comfortable seating. Tends to get drafty/cold in the winter, making in-house dining unpalatable. But this is a take-out/delivery place first and foremost. My preferred options are the eggplant roll(fried eggplant and mozzarella in a baked dough wrap), pepperoni roll, and their gyro, which is pretty good — at least the accompanying hot sauce is really good. The slices are pretty good too, though I usually stick with the rolls or gyro. The drink selection is limited and many items are more expensive than the deli right next door, so save a few cents and go get your drink from the deli while you wait for your slice.

I am reviewing their pizzas here: The only reason why I gave them 3 stars is for their attempt in making whole wheat pizza with low fat cheese. So, for the healthier option, I am giving them 3 stars. But the taste was BAD, it lacked salt and every other spice. The pizza base was thick but on the plus point, was laden with veggies. But seriously, the pizza had NO taste! As always, I will try once again and will remove stars if I must.

Him– Best Linguini & Clams I’ve ever had… and I’ve had them all. Nice looking little place., very friendly. Will go back everyday. Her– Warm, comfortable atmosphere. Extremely friendly waitstaff. Great food with nice presentation and very reasonably priced by NYC standards. Very small dining room– once this place catches on you may have trouble getting a table.

I’ve only had delivery here, so I’m writing from that perspective. Actually, I’ve only ever ordered one thing — so my purview is even more limited. That being said, the Falafel & Hummus Combo pita for $ 5.25 is a great deal. Super filling and very tasty. Delivery is reasonable but not super fast.
