Decent burgers but a bit in the pricey side($ 15 for a burger not including fries which are an additional $ 6).

Wow people should give this place more credit, as it locates in a barren place for fine dining. I consider their au poivre burger is an absolute treat. A little bit pricey yes but far from unaffordable, and lack of variety of alcohol yes but they have just newly settled. So yeah not a perfect restaurant but a decent one in a right place. Compare to Mel’s burger at W110th I seriously think this place offers better burger. Hopefully they can provide more appetizers and alcohols or even better bar one day.

Sat at the bar for take out. The interior is new, trendy, highly priced for burhers. A burger, tax, tip and shake cost me about $ 25. At that price, I’m not really sure it’s worth it. They cater to the Wallstreet crowd on the Upper West side of Manhattanville. I ordered chocolate shake and the Clydesdale burger medium rare to go. The burger was good, but service is subpar. They are slow and understaffed at lunchtime.

$ 15 for a plain burger I have to assemble myself, What was I thinking? $ 2.25 for a can of Coke, what are they thinking? The Boss burger was mediocre to say the best, but it really wasn’t even that, honestly, it’s a less than average burger. McDonald’s is right next door, I’ll just pick up a couple burgers there next time I’m on this block. Plenty of better restaurants right next door, don’t expect this place to stay open for much longer. Oh yea, no alcohol(«yet»); don’t let the ambiance fool you.

Terrible. 1. Loved the interior, but it was FREEZING inside. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a new restaurant and they’re strapped for cash or what, but the heat was on way too low. Most of the customers had on their coats, and even the servers all had on fleece jackets. 2. What’s the point of asking how I’d like my burger cooked if you’re going to burn it to a crisp anyway? I’ve seen diners do a better job at half the price. 3. Cheese fries were so insanely salty and over-fried, my girlfriend and I barely touched them. See my point above about diners. 4. My girlfriend ordered the«South of the Border» burger, which comes with jack cheese, salsa, guacamole and jalapenos. What ended up coming out was a burger topped with slices of avocado(okay, I guess close enough to guacamole), a thick slab of white cheese(could this be cotija, in line with the Mexican theme?) and bacon(???). The server announced it was the«South of the Border» as he placed it on the table, although even a cursory glance would tell one this in no way resembled what was described on the menu. We didn’t want to cause a scene, with this being a new restaurant and all… It takes time to iron out the kinks, we get it. We just simply pointed out that the burger was missing the salsa and jalapenos, to which the server apologized and had the kitchen throw on some salsa, and brought out a plate of sliced jalapenos. We did some investigating while eating and found out that they actually have another burger called«The Derby», which comes with avocado, bleu cheese and bacon. Sound familiar? Now here’s the kicker… When it came time to pay and the server asked how everything was, I mentioned the fact that we thought he served us a different burger altogether(my girlfriend didn’t like it and left most of the burger, with it not being what she ordered and all). What does he say in response? «Oh, I think the kitchen served you bleu cheese with your ‘South of the Border’ burger.» What??? So you’re telling me this guy knew all along that our order was incorrect, and did nothing to proactively remedy the situation? What if one of us was allergic to one of the ingredients in «The Derby»? I was going to let it slide if this was purely an accident, but this is unacceptable. Absolutely horrible. This is the point where he so graciously decided to knock off a whopping 10% from our bill. I had initially thought this place had good service but(unfortunately) terrible food, but the end soured my entire experience. AVOID if you expect to be treated with some respect as a paying customer.

I ordered the $ 11 cobb salad to go and was disappointed with the presentation. The hard boiled egg was undercooked so I had to recook it in the microwave, they only gave me about 3 small clumps of blue cheese and they charged an extra $ 5 for chicken when cobb salads should already come with some kind of meat besides bacon. I had to dice up the chicken strips and the tomatoes which made me feel like I was making the salad my darn self. I could have had a McDonalds salad for all this. Anyhoo, the rest of my party enjoyed their meal so I will give them another chance.

This place is right outside our apartment, so we may be a bit biased, but as soon as my burger-loving boyfriend and I saw this place was finally open, we had to come in. We came on the first night they were open, and then again tonight, and have had great service and good food both nights. Some notes: — fry sides are big, and totally splittable between 2 – 3 people. We’re struggling to finish ours now, as we’re just 2. We got the sweet potato fries with the horseradish black pepper spread, and our server brought us an extra Parmesan spread on the house, just so we could try it. — they actually cook burgers medium rare and rare and they do it well. Is this heaven? — the chicken burgers are good, but massive. They also could use thicker chicken breasts that are well seasoned instead of the behemoth ones that come out now. And you get two breasts per chicken burger. Just warning you — come hungry. Overall, we love it here. Complimentary Coronas for early customers and a family friendly atmosphere? We’re in. PS: Derby Burger comes highly recommended.

I’ve been waiting for this place to open for months, and finally got the chance to check it out. The décor is pretty trendy, but perfect for the neighborhood. It has an approachable atmosphere, and the staff seem very nice. The food was also great. I’ll be coming back to try all variations of their burgers, believe you me! When they get their liquor license, they could potentially give Toast a run for their money, though to be fair, they offer a different vibe. +1 cool décor +1 delicious food +1 decent prices +1 decent service –1 too soon to tell if this is fleeting, expectations shouldn’t be set too high

My partner and I went to this spot today in the neighborhood for the first time. It was delicious! Since it was their first time opening they provided complimentary beer and wine, which was great! We both ordered turkey burgers with mushrooms and guacamole and gluten-free bread. However, they did not have the gluten-free bread in stock so they gave us extra lettuce with which we could wrap our burgers in. That was a let down, but it was still delicious. The mushrooms were flavorful, and the Cajun fries were sooo tasty. We didn’t get to have the shakes, but will next time. The service was also great. We will definitely be back.
