Regrettably, id America has closed for some time now.

I got my iPhone cracked screen fixed here using a Groupon. Benjamin and Jason were incredibly accommodating, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. They answered a variety of questions I had about the iPhone as well as my Macbook Pro. I will definitely return here if I need help with any of my Apple hardware.

Good service… Fixed ipad

My girlfriend ordered an iPhone 6 case for me called the «Wall St.“case featuring the credit card slot on the back. When the case finally arrived it was a different case. The case that came was the «Liquid» case. But clearly the packing slip states the case and price we purchased. When we tried to reach someone at this company the phone line is always busy. We even sent emails to the support for help with this. But no one has reached out to us.
I noticed that if you have a defective or wrong product you have a small window of time to have it resolved. But since you have this tiny window to have things returned for a refund or exchange they seem to not want to answer the phone. I would never recommend this company for anything.
If Unilocal allowed ½ star I would have given that. They don’t even deserve the 1 start I gave them.

If you ever want any of your idevices fixed, you must drag yourself into this place! normally i would man up and continue using the cracked iphone like a hobo but when im working with an iphone that has small glass shards sticking out every which way, i don’t mind smacking $ 50 dollars on the table to have it fixed. That’s how terrible the condition was. anyway as I was saying, I took my phone to this place and a nice lady told me to come back in 1 hour, and after i was done waiting, it seemed like king midas had touched it– shiny and pristine. Easy transaction. Definitely coming back here again. thank you id america!

It took me 6 weekends to get my iPad fixed. First time I went in without an appointment. Then I had to go home. 2^nd time I came back with the appointment but all I need to do is to hand in my iPad to the front desk then go home and wait (so what was the appointment for?) I thought my iPad glass could be fixed right away. Anyway, they told me they going to finish the following week and call me which they never did. I tried to call in the phone was never answered. ntwo weeks passed away I had to walk into the store to find out what was going on. Eventually I got my iPad fixed. But, one more disappoint I discovered later on. That they let a piece dust inside my iPad glass which now I have to live with it :-(

Great staff very helpful and knowledgable. Fast and efficient. Went for my iPhone 5s was done with in an hour. Definitely will recommend to anyone that needs screen repairs.

This place has every phone case imaginable! I’ve been coming here since I moved to NYC in 2012 and will continue to as long as I can!

Got my iPhone 5 screen replaced at this location. These guys did an excellent, speedy job and it was all at a great price, too.
What really deserved the full five stars were Rahiv, Nelly, and Ben who were amazingly accommodating and very helpful.
I will definitely be returning if I destroy my phone once more, or maybe just stop by to say hello!

Quick service and excellent customer service! Used a groupon and have a three month warranty

I came in to get my cracked iPad screen fixed. They did that. Pretty decent job. But they ended up scratching up entire backside of my iPad. His response was oh in the process of fixing the screen it must have rubbed against stuff. What’s the point of getting my iPad screen fixed if you’re going to make a mess of my back! And to have such a cavalier attitude like «oh it just happen»
I was pretty annoyed but I’m changing my review because they did contact me and tried to resolve the issue. Which was pretty cool that they are about their customer service.

Lied to me told me that i had full warranty that the oly thing i needed to do was bring the receipt.
Never buy here!!!

Sometimes it’s good to share your stupidity… so here I go. After a day of shopping with my mom, I parked the car to unpack our bounty, unplugged my ipad and rested it on top of my car to open the trunk for my mom. It wasn’t until I got all the way home, some 90 minutes later, that I remembered my iPad. I spent the next 90 minutes retracing my drive and tracking my iPad via the Find My iPhone app.
The good news… my sleuth-​y persistence paid off and I was able to track down the guy who found my iPad. The bad news, the screen had obviously been rolled over by several cars before being found by the gentleman who returned it.
I took the screen to another iPad repair place first and was told that because the frame bent out of shape (a result of the cars rolling over it), I would not be able to replace the screen. I was bummed. I inquired with Apple about a replacement and was told that it would cast me $ 200+ for a new/​refurbish model. Then one day, I happened to pass id America and was told that they could remold the frame and give me a new iPad screen. They did a rush job for me and turned the iPad around in less than a week, just in time for some traveling I had scheduled.
When I picked up the iPad, I was told, to put place it under something sturdy so the glue could set. I did as instructed and thought my iPad was ready to go. Then I noticed that the screen wasn’t sitting flush in the frame and I gently tried to pushed it in place. Guess what? The screen shattered! I was mortified. I headed on my trip, sans my iPad, terrified that the people at id America would blame me for the faulty screen.
I’m happy to say, just the opposite happened. When I brought the screen back in days later and explained what happened, the guys told me they’d replace the screen again, free of charge. I swooned. I had my iPad about 4 days later, almost as good as new. I highly recommend them and their reliable work and excellent customer service!

I bought the Groupon to fix my iPhone4 screen. I read that I had to make an appointment, and called to make one ASAP. They told me it was a 3 week wait, which was kind of a pain, but regardless I made the appointment.
The day before, I called (luckily) to confirm. I was told there was no record of my appointment. I told them they must have been mistaken because I made the appointment 3 weeks prior.
I was told that they were «sorry» but I wasn’t in the system. After a minute I was put on hold, and when the person returned they told me there was a cancellation at noon and I could come in then.
Went in at noon, dropped off the phone. The store itself is nice, and bright. They have a good array of products, but the prices aren’t competitive.
When I returned, I had to wait about 10 minutes. When the phone came out, I inspected it, and there seemed to be some sort of «glue» in the bottom right of the phone, where they had replaced the screen. It was in between the casing and the screen. When I pointed it out, they looked at it, gave me a look, then went back to take care of it.
The phone came out again, and still had gunk in between the screen and the casing. When I expressed that I was disappointed, and I wanted this fixed, the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes and said, «I don’t see anything,» — like no one cares what you have to say.
The main guy again told me that he didn’t know what he wanted me to do. I explained that they had a service, that I paid for, and they didn’t do a good job. This should have been done correctly. I told him I wanted it done properly. And he said I would have to leave the phone for ANOTHER hour to get taken care of. I told him I didn’t have an hour. I needed my phone and needed to go home. He told me to come back the next day. I never went back the next day, and honestly kind of wish I never bought the Groupon.
Now, I don’t know whether it’s coincidence or not, but my phone has been acting up. The screen is delayed in the operating system, and overall it has become EXTREMELY slow and glitchy.

After I left that bad review, I got a call from Benjamin asking me to go back there so they could take care of the problem on my iPad.
I did, and, as the fist time I’ve been there, the staff was great. Benjamin explained to me what might have happened, and said they would fix it.
I got the iPad the next day (even though he said it would take only an hour, but I couldn’t wait), and I was beautiful, totally fixed.
I really appreciated the way I was treated as a customer, they did everything to make sure the client didn’t leave the store unsatisfied.
Very happy with the professionalism. Would give 5 stars if I didn’t have to go through the bad review to get their attention.

I came in to fix my iphone using a Groupon. I didn’t make a reservation first since I was in the area already and thought I should just come by and see what’s up. I walked in and told the girl at the counter I had a Groupon. She was like «you made a reservation?» and I told her my reason why I didn’t make a reservation. And then she gave me the blankest look and said «you have to make a reservation. The next open window might be like two months later.» I was like uh okay, that’s not good. She left to see if there was any time to schedule an appointment for my iphone. Then she came back and was like ok, it could be done in two hours. I was like wtf, what was the two months bs you just told me? O_​_​O
Whatever, they fixed my phone and it looked great. If you need to get your phone fixed, get a Groupon and make a reservation, I guess.

I take back everything BAD I said about «ID America». After my previous run in, the manager took care of my issue and we are all good. Awesome place, and they work with you to fix whatever is wrong. I will definitely come back.

ID America is located right behind Macy’s on 35^th street. You never know what type of quality you will receive when you haggle on the street for your merchandise. And this place has really reasonable prices. And besides you can’t refer someone to a card table set up next to a subway shop.
But the salesmen gave me great advise about my busted iphone 5 screen. And I give this establishment my coveted 5 star review for excellent customer service, very very sane prices, and anti-​creepy highly-​respectable atmosphere.
They specialize in repair of Apple products. But since I am a reluctant apple convert and only because my girlfriend is one of the Machead. So I didn’t haven phone bubblewrapped like the rest of the iPhone junkies because I wanted to retain a sense of autonomy. Now I see why they wrap up their precious little babies. My phone falls from two feet onto concreat on an angle and now the glass looks like a spiderweb.
The lesson is this… if you are going to try to rock an iPhone or one of the rest of their finicky little products… give in completely to their cult. Don’t judge them. Just do as the freekazoid do… take the beautiful product and put it in a case.
Maybe this is why the Apple people love to go into the showroom and touch the next new product every 8 months or so. Maybe they they just like touching the actual product because all of theirs are in cases?
Anyway this store is cool with nice people. Has chill Mactown feel… wait. Am I becoming one of them?
