The Hair Fairies saved us! My daughters and I both had lice and there was no way I could check myself nor treat all 3 of us. They spent so much time making sure we were completely treated and subsequently checked again. Although it did cost a fortune, it was worth the peace of mind to know that we were free and clear of lice(ick!!) They were so great with the kids and really put us all at ease. I couldn’t believe my 3 years old sat in the chair for 2−½ hours without complaining once! They really must be fairies, like her favorite, Tinkerbell!

We have had to visit the Fairies twice in about three years and both times, the ladies were caring, informative, diligent, thorough and professional at their work. It is always less than optimal to have to be there but(as expensive as it is) always worth it for the peace of mind that comes with their care. My daughter, who is very sensitive to touch and revolts at daily hair brushing was able to tolerate three hours of combing her long hair with minimal complaint, which is in part due to laptop DVDs but also must be the magic of this place. Thank you!

Waste of time and money. I can not believe how long and how much this was I wish I would’ve did more research! Complete rip off!!! I am deeply pissed off right now. I spent half my rent and half my day here for some stupid bugs… And all they do is yap the whole time in Spanish. Thoroughly pissed. I never try to write negative reviews coming from another business owner I know how much Unilocal helps or hurts. Do not go here, pay a friend to do this! Geeez! Also they so not give you an itemized receipt they just charge you!

After the school nurse found a nit in my daughter’s hair, the first thing I did was call the fairies! To my surprise the salon is very kid friendly and staff very knowledgable. They immediately put me and my daughter at ease while they started working. Not only did Margie, my technician and salon manager, completely remove everything, she taught me how to treat and prevent them from coming back! I’m currently trying to get them to work with our growing school to help educate parents as well as conduct head checks. Hey, a mom can always use a fairy(or two) in her life ;) Thanks Hair Fairies!!!

Hair fairies came to my daughter’s school to screen for lice. Echoing the comments of the previous commenter they made things sound worse than they were. They promoted this idea of the school and in fact posssibly the city having«treatment resistant» lice which was just not true. I couldn’t help but notice that this just happens to favor their business, since they recommended their $ 300 treatment as a solution. (For anyone curious the reason they reached this conclusion is that many kids who had already had treated cases of lice still had nits, ie lice eggs, in their hair. This might seem like it would indicate treatment resistance, except reading about lice for only ten minutes leads to the fact that the dead shells of the treated nits always stay in the hair after treatment since they are basically cemented on there by the bugs — unless you spend a great deal of time physically removing them like the hair fairies. The point is these empty shells are tiny and totally harmless and the fact that the hairfairies are saying people need to come in for $ 300 treatments in these cases is either totally ignorant or fearmongering for the sake of business — either way, not good.)
