Hotel Boutique at Grand Central

The hotel is in a great location near Grand Central and walking distance to so many things in Mid Town. The room was a regular NYC size. The bed was comfortable and we didn’t here any of the traffic being on the 6^th floor. Would definitely return here.

This place is absolutely amazing, especially for the price! When I first arrived, I entered through Lexington Ave which is not the main entrance (it’s around the corner on E 45^th St.) and was certainly confusing since this entrance brings you to the second floor. Long story short, I was given a free upgrade for my troubles — from a basic room to a suite! The customer service is amazing and the rooms are clean! This is coming from someone who is crazy about being clean and neat so even though this isn’t a Hilton or Sheraton, you can feel at ease when making reservations here. Also, parking is on E. 45^th St (just a few blocks down) and since you are a guest at the hotel the rate drops to $ ²⁸⁄₂₄ hr!!! The average rate is $ 60/​24hr! HUGE savings! Thing is, to keep the rate at $ 28 you can’t take it out and check it back in. BUT, no big deal since Grand Central is around the corner! In addition, the filtered water is also a plus as well as the Keurig coffee machine that is in your room. I didn’t get a chance to check out the gym or the views from the 27^th floor (I think that’s the floor?), but I’m sure those are great as well! I’d certainly come back!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The kind staff allowed us to check in 3 hours early. The room was very nice. It had a modern feel and had plenty of room for 2. There was a Keurig in the room and a fresh water station in the hallway. The workout room on the 3^rd floor was adequate and the lounge on the 27^th floor was awesome. The location was within walking distance of Times Square. We had family staying at the Roosevelt a couple of blocks away and their room was smaller and didn’t have the amenities that Hotel Boutique had. We were there on our first trip to NYC and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. I highly recommend Hotel Boutique.

The property is just a couple minutes from Grand Central, hence the name. The rooms are clean and roomy enough for 3. The only thing missing is a tub, but the shower was clean and worked perfectly. We appreciated the bottled water that the hotel provides for their guests. And we definitely enjoyed the 27^th floor. There’s coffee & tea but no snacks like the property in SF. The view is pretty nice but for some reason I thought I’d be able to see more… more buildings! :) But still impressive. I also had some work to tend to but didn’t bring my laptop on this trip so the computers & printer available for us came in handy. As Diamond owners, we have very high expectations, so it’s a good thing when we say we’ll be back.

After my husband went back down to the front desk the original lady was at the desk. She apologized profusely and told him she would bring a new room to him. From that point forward the stay was great and nothing to complain about. I was happy that they were able to do what they can to make the situation right. However, when vacationing one shouldn’t have to worry about the initial experience and therefore I still give them 3 stars.

Conveniently located across Grand Central. It’s a clean, simple hotel right in Midtown. They have complimentary bottles on every floor for all guests and they are very friendly. I would come back here again. The only thing to note is that rooms are not fully equipped with the some of the basic things so you have to always ask from the front desk.

So overall this place was GREAT! We stayed here this past weekend while visiting a friend in NYC. The hotel was very clean and had a nice modern feel. We stayed in the larger room with a pull out sofa. The room was a great size and the beds were very comfortable. The free cold water on every floor was so great for a hot summer weekend. The 27^th floor lounge was awesome with a terrace and free coffee, great place to bring breakfast and hang out with a nice view. Michelle at the front desk was so helpful and obliging, she really made us feel welcome. The icing on the cake was the very affordable price, not to mention it is a block away from Grand Central so the location was very convenient. My only 2 complaints were, 1 rude night time front desk guy, and the fact that for some reason the air conditioner was on a motion censor and would completely turn off when we were not in the room. So every time we would come back to our room it was 80 degrees. But, those 2 things being said I would most definitely consider staying here again.

Spent the night here to see Wicked with my daughter. Great hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. Even though check in is at 3pm, if you arrive after 11 and a room is available they will allow you early check in free of charge.
The room is a decent size and very comfortable. If you are looking for a luxurious room that isn’t what you get here but if you are looking for comfort and a hotel close to everything than this is the one for you!

The Hotel Boutique is really a Club Quarters with a Different Entrance. Even by New York Standards, the room was tiny. It also had no windows or faux windows. The layout was quit ingenious with everything you might want crammed in. For example, the table top slid our so that you could get the seat behind it. Plenty of outlets for your appliances.
The saving grace was a large community room on the top floor with comfortable chairs and a few computers and a coffee machine. When the claustrophobia in the room became too strong you could escape to the 27^th floor.

Great location, 1 block from grand central station. Free wifi, free water bottles, free laundry, gym on every floor. Clean, private. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

We are having an amazing time! The facility is wonderful… a 7 $ cab ride with tip to time square and close to grand central! The workout faculty, the purified water at every floor and the simple but modern design of the hotel is awesome! When you’re hear check out the 27^th floor balcony lounge! My girlfriend and I got takeout tonight and ate up here!!! Wonderful view! I will for sure be back again!

Friendly staff, free water bottles, perfect area, clean rooms, trustworthy hotel to book

I expect high prices in NYC, I expect too much noise, hell, I even expect to have super tight quarters. What I don’t expect is an extremely rude attendant and ridiculous «upgrade» costs when I arrive. To make a long and frustrating story short, we were completely dissatisfied with the Hotel Boutique from the moment we stepped in.
Upon check in, we let the front desk attendant know that would like a room with two beds if possible since there were three people staying in the room. He informed us that they only have rooms with two twin beds or one full. We say that the twins are fine and don’t mind getting cozy and he smugly responds, «well, we don’t have any». Okay, so we ask for a rollaway and he says that it won’t fit in our room and that we will have to upgrade for an additional cost. Now, the additional cost adds up to a third of what we paid for the room in the first place, which seems a little absurd. We go back and forth for a short while before he mutters under his breath, «well, I could always just charge you for having a third person in the room too». Um, excuse me? Beyond irritated I went to check out the room. It was a glorified coat closet, so I went back to the front and reluctantly took the «upgraded» room and the cot. We walk into the new room and literally laughed out loud. It had to be all of 1 ft. larger than the last. The only way the cot would fit was at the foot of the bed tucked into the corner, where we had to climb over the other bed to get in and out. Like I said, I don’t mind small spaces, but I do mind being charged for absolutely noting. The cot could have just as uncomfortably fit in the first room as it did the second.
Since it was a celebratory weekend, I didn’t want to waste a second more on this place. So we just stayed in the new glamorous upgraded room. In all honesty, the hotel was not busy and I don’t believe for a single moment that they really didn’t have any two bed rooms left. It was an unconvincing narrative designed to tack on charges. Do yourself a favor and choose a hotel that doesn’t have car salesman like practices. Also, for the amount we paid after the upgrade, we could have stayed in a much nicer hotel in a better location. Never again!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and could not be happier. Firstly, the location is quite central to most attractions (lateral to Times Square, below Central Park, and above West Village and Chinatown). Secondly, the hotel is spotless, modern, and pretty. The staff here are extremely hospitable and accommodating. We got to the hotel well before regular check-​in time, which is 3 pm, and they were still able to find us a 21^st floor room (27 floors total) and brought up a fridge per my request (I mean, where would I store my chicken and rice?!). The highlight of this hotel is the 27^th floor — there is a terrace with tables and chairs where you can have your breakfast and enjoy the views. More importantly, there is a self-​cleaning espresso/​cappuccino/​latte/​coffee machine! I definitely enjoyed my many cappuccinos. On the main level, there are free-​to-​use LG washer and dryer. On each floor is a purified water station. Not only that, there are free bottles (with screw-​on caps) for you to store the water in!
The room itself is studio-​sized, but plenty big for two people. The bathroom has a stand-​in shower and is very modern and clean. The only downside is their «king» size is really two fulls placed side-​by-​side. You would not know unless you laid on it, but unless you’re an amazon of a person, I’m not sure you’d feel a difference if you stayed on either side. Still, I am docking a star because of this misleading bed arrangement.
Big plus for those who aren’t driving into the city: the staff will keep your luggage post check-​out time, so you can wander around the city without the hassle. There are Hotel Boutiques in DC, SF, and a few other major cities. Be sure to stay in one to enjoy the great amenities and service!

Stayed here this week and it was in a great location. We were placed on the 24^th floor which provided a rather stellar view. The hotel was super clean and although the rooms were rather small, I enjoyed the setup. The bed was pretty comfy although I was extremely surprised (and disappointed) to see what I thought was a California king was actually TWO beds smooshed together (WHAT?). You could literally feel the crease in between and it made for a little awkwardness as my fiancé and I tried to snuggle at night. That was probably the only complaint I had. Other than that, the staff was courteous and the room was nice. Would definitely stay here again.

A nice, modern, clean, and friendly place to stay. The rooms were a good size and the décor was modern and fresh. The bathroom and. Bed were arranged nicely and had a nice desk/​table bench area for working or eating. Also had a large flat screen tv mounted to the wall and iPhone/​iPod radio.
Although, they did not provide face cloths, they did have clean and white towels for the shower; along with soaps and shampoos.
After we had checked out they very quickly let us keep our luggage their while we continued to walk around and we were easily able to pick it up with a ticket from the tags.
On a side note, I loved the art and the design layout of the décor– very nice eb and flow to all of it. With a close location to the Grand Central Station Terminal!

The Hotel Boutique at Grand Central is a trendy hotel situated in close proximity from the Grand Central Terminal Station. The entrance of the hotel shares an entrance with Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse which is situated on the lower level floor. Location is excellent, walking distance from all major trains including uptown/​downtown 4−5−6 trains (including express trains) at Grand Central. Check-​in was quite odd as it was situated on the 2^nd floor. Although there were a few things that could have been improved, my four day — three night stay here was overall an excellent stay. I would rate this hotel an 8.5 on a scale from 1 — 10, 10 being the best possible experience where I would be fully satisfied.
The person that checked me in was fumbling with the card scanner a bit, but it took less than five minutes to get checked in. I believe that you can actually get checked in at the lobby of the hotel in the 1^st floor, with the entrance being on 45^th St. Throughout my stay, I would exit and enter the hotel from the 1^st floor lobby on 45^th St where the front desk staff were very attentive and pleasant.
Upon arrival/​check-​in, the room was very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping staff came daily upon my request, and I was very pleased. The problem I noticed in my specific room was that the ethernet port/​drop was not working which I preferred using over wi-​fi. The wi-​fi signal from my room was reasonably good, but as I was in a corner room, this was completely understandable. Wi-​Fi is fast, and offered for free with no network password. The second thing was that the front staff claimed that since my room included a kitchenette, utensils would be included in the cabinet. However, there were no utensils in the room, but the staff promptly brought up a setting for me to eat my dinner. The other issue that I became aware of was that the AC in the room was humming loudly since the metal grill was uneven and vibrating. I brought it up with the hotel’s engineer when I bumped into him at the elevator, but the problem was not resolved by the end of my visit. I mitigated the problem by placing a weighted item on top of the grill to keep it from vibrating and making noise.
I was very pleased with the amenities offered at this hotel. There are snacks, fruits, and coffee placed in the club living room situated on the 27^th floor of the hotel. There is plenty of room to sit, many outlets to plug in your laptop, two iMac stations for web browsing, and a printer provided to print important documents/​boarding passes/​etc. There is also an outdoor patio which faces west of the hotel. From the 27^th floor, you can see the Chrysler Building to the south of the hotel, Grand Central Terminal to the west end, and up Lexington Avenue.
Other amenities that I really enjoyed were that there purified water stations on every floor, self-​serve laundry on the 3^rd floor, a laundry room, and a closet on every floor if you need extra K-​Cups, an iron, iron board, sugar, etc.
This hotel really excels in the aspect that they focus on providing excellent service and hospitality to their guests. Service is always absolutely fantastic and everything the staff does is for the purpose of helping guests feel comfortable. Since I had an evening flight and I had to check out by 12 PM, the hotel gladly offered to hold my luggage while I spent a few hours doing whatever I wanted to without having to carry around all my luggage.
Also, if you are staying here, be sure to check out Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very elegant and you will feel an absolute sense of welcomeness from the staff. The service was exceptional, staff was very attentive, and our drinks were constantly being refilled. Service stands out here at Davio’s, and the restaurant and the hotel compliment each other very well. If you are staying at the hotel, you can get 15% off your bill.

Great hotel in a good location. Right across the street from the Grand Central station. Starbucks is everywhere, as well various restaurants, eateries, drugstores… all within a block or two. Staff was great! There’s purified water stations on each floor, with water bottles and a club lounge and terrace on the 27^th floor with some great views. Biggest pro is the coffee machine in the lounge that makes lattes, cappuccinos complete with steamed milk & foam. They also offer fresh fruit, sodas, water and breakfast bars, all free. Business station is also in lounge, with apple computers and printers. The restaurant on the lower level is nice and upscale, and they give you a sample of one of there offerings while you wait on your food. I really enjoyed this hotel and would definitely stay again!

Booked because price was good, other than that the service and management were awful and uncourteous. Ordered a sofa bed on the side and they didn’t deliver it until it was too late, there was no room for us to fit the bed once it arrived either… Would not recommend staying here

I stayed here on May 23, 2014 and I was impressed by the look of the hotel and the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the amenities. I was less then thrilled by the holes in the towels in the rooms and the up charge for an early check in. The room was ready the charge was totally unnecessary and I did feel a bit price gouged.
