Staff here is very friendly. They will let you sample any loaf you want. They basically gave me an entire dinner roll sample of their olive loaf when I asked how it tasted. I really love their 11 grain loaf. Their flatbreads are amazing… definitely get the potato. They have a frequent bread card too, so if you come here often your 10th loaf will be free!

The best breads and pizza! Each visit to NYC includes a couple visits to Grandaisy. I have tried the following pizzas: pomadoro, the butternut squash and the rosemary potato. YUM! Each one is outstanding. Their bread is the best and too bad I can only get it once a year during my vacation. They also have these flatbread cracker things that I discovered last year. I will fill my suitcase with these if only… I can also recommend the soy latte. I am not a vegetarian but the soy latte is so good this is my regular during vacation. Can’t wait to return this summer!

Real Italian. this place is pretty awesome — their pizzas are super italian and definitely really tasty. tiny storefront that is easy to overlook, but worth the stop. It’s also a really cool organization that employs people for something like 12 years on average. You also get the sense that the people who come here know the people who work there — feels intimate in the best way possible.

I just am in love with their pizzas. You wouldn’t know they sell pizza walking by but look behind the counter and there they are. Hypes: — serious coffee on the uws. No artificial flavor, solid lattes and cappuccinos. — pizza: took me back to the small shops in Italy. ZUCCHINI and CAULIFLOWER are the ones you absolutely have to get. They are crispy, flavorful, and use unique cheeses and herbs. Squash is delicious as well topped with fresh rosemary. Ask for the pizza to be heated. — stroller accessible

The review is only for their cauliflower slice. It’s one of my top 5 dishes in New York. Get it heated.

Oh my lord let me tell you about this wonderful little bakery. Their pizzas are so delicious, after the first bite I took I knew I was hooked. I could eat here for the rest of my life. I highly recommend the cauliflower pizza and the potato pizza, but I’m sure you can’t go wrong with any of them.

Super inexpensive – great food! I got the mushroom and thyme flatbread, a slice of bread pudding cake, and one of those little rolls with raisin and apricot jam for ~$ 8 bucks! Everything was delicious and worth it – definitely will be going back.

Lovely lovely lovely! Went here today and was helped by such a nice girl named Susan today, my soy latte was the best I’ve had in a while and the recommendations were just perfect! Can’t wait to come back

I used to call the bianca con pecorino one of the last bites I want to have before I die. I craved this every once in awhile and would make my way to either store on the UWS/TriBeCa even though both locations are usually out of my way. I took all my out of town visitors here and introduced them to my favorite carb in the city. Decided to pick some up yesterday as a mid-afternoon snack and got so excited thinking about them all morning. When the girl started slicing my pieces, I noticed that the slices have gotten smaller from what I used to get — but oh well. Had a piece toasted for my immediate enjoyment and bit into it as soon as I was handed the bread. Beyond the two small specks of pecorino on the corner(which you can see from the photo), nada. The rest of the slice had nothing. I thought it was just that one slice but when I had my other piece today, that didn’t even have any pecorino. #firstworldproblems but that made me download the Unilocal app just to be able to express my disappointment… And I just judged myself for using that hashtag. But yes, I’m disappointed — where are the biancas con A LOT of pecorino I used to love?

***2.5 stars*** The sandwich I had was good, but the bread seemed kind of stale. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing. I’ll have to come back to try one of their pizzas/pastries.

Huge carnivore here, but I absolutely LOVE their cauliflower pizza. The florets are soft and buttery on the inside and lightly caramelized and savory on top. And on every bite, you get all of that and a nice crunch from the crust. Oh my… and it’s vegan? Nice. I happened upon it many years ago when it first open and am happy to see to that it’s still around. The place is tiny and is blocked by one of those glass house of a bus stop, so it can easily be missed.

If you love coffee, and I mean REAL coffee, not that Starbucks crap, GRANDAISYBAKERY should be on your list. Not only are the employees very pleasant, and the atmosphere relaxing and casual, but the coffee is outstanding. The location is close to Central Park which makes it a great stop on a Saturday morning before heading out for a day at the park. They have some pastries and other goodies so no need to eat before you come

«BAITANDSWITCH» money tactics here! The menu lulls you in with its very affordable coffee options. Then the cashier will ring you up and you’ll end up paying a dollar more. It’s too late to decline the coffee because you order it while standing in line.

Had it at a party and it was really good! Healthy and wholesome and the veggies are good quality. The butternut squash is especially tasty :)

LOVE the pizzas there — all kinds of veggies and great breads, too. I’ve had some not so great desserts but the pizza is why I go there(all the time).

Stay away! BUT If you want to eat fly shit laced pizza/bread then you found your treasured bakery. Was about to buy some pizza until i saw a fly launch from the bread/pizza area. Then I looked around and saw nothing was covered. I sent the pizza back saying sorry but just saw a fly from come from there and the counter guy with a perplexed face responded, «that is bound to happen» like it is smthng normal and I should accept the fly shit/saliva blessings on my purchase. Did not help when I asked if they had mayo as their overpriced dry sandwich,(which luckily I got for evening hrs half price, $ 3.75) was literally one slice of deli meat, one slice of cheese and arugula with zero sauce, condiment or spread and he just nods his head no. So i asked do you have mustard, he says no. I asked do you have any sauce he says depends what sandwich you got. Okkkkkkkkkkkk. Wtf does that mean? Then he proceeds to say we do have a spread but it is for another sandwich and is already locked up cuz we are closing. Ooooooook brilliant customer service. Then upon finishing our cookie while they start to throw out the garbage he says, «actually we just closed», like thanks for buying our stuff but get the heck out of here now that i squeezed in some last minute purchases. He could have mentioned they were closing shortly when buying stuff and more graceful when saying shop was closing up. Get your shat together and thanks for the best first time experience! Btw looks like other Unilocalers confirm the lousy or btr yet, lack of service.
