I came in for a simple eye exam. The doctor is proficient but talks fast and is extremely rushed. However, the one star is due to an extremely unprofessional staff, who provided terrible guidance on my benefits, attempted to over-​charge me (fraud much?), and even after correcting, expressed no apology. They are either incompetent or unethical. Finally, they tried to push their over-​priced lenses on me, assuring me my benefits wouldn’t cover online lense orders. A quick visit to 1800contacts proved them wrong again and saved me lots of money and time. I feel bad for all the people who don’t ask the right questions that this office has undoubtedly suckered.

The service here is very good. The staff is very attentive, kind and helpful. This office is a neighborhood gem.

I went to Dr. Goldsteins office to get contact lenses for the first time. I was super nervous (the thought of sticking something in my eye never appealed to me but I was sick of not being able to see without glasses). Dr. Goldstein was very nice & funny, I was pleasantly surprised since I’ve never had a doctor with an actual personality. it’s usually get in and get out. He cares about his patients and makes sure you’re comfortable with whatever you decide to get. The staff is also friendly and helpful, especially Miguel. he’s awesome! Great experience and customer service each time.

I would like to thank dr. Goldstein for giving me my vision back! And the rest of the staff for being so kind and friendly. Great experience and I’ll definitely recommend this place to any of my loved ones.

Everyone here is super friendly! Just had my first visit here and my doctor made me feel like he cared about my health and wellness, not like other NYC doctors.

I have no complaints about the service as far as optometry is concerned, but the actual frames and lens are a rip off, I was just told that I should expect to have to replace my frames every two years after a barely 4 year old pair of $ 400 Paul Smith frames are oxidized. I think that’s a bit rich…

Square in the Eye was a delightful surprise. I zero’d in on it because they are one of the few purveyors of Silhouette lenses that also accepts my insurance. It’s a little off the beaten path but a well-​organized, well-​laid out store. Two employees assisted me in finding the frames I wanted, giving me their full attention and not trying to upsell me. I was able to secure an appointment with Dr. Goldstein for both myself and my daughter the next day. When I returned, I was seen on time. Dr. Goldstein has the latest equipment and is totally on top of the technology. He gave me an entertaining and informative review of my vision, how it affects my reading, my driving, my work habits. He also made sound recommendations for my daughter. This is a great find and I will be recommending SITE to friends and family.

I’ve seen Doctor Goldstein twice for annual eye exams and I honestly couldn’t imagine a better place to go.
I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with his office staff, namely Miguel, both times for pre and post exam things such as orders and glasses-​tweaking and he’s a total peach who knows how to do his job very well with both professionalism and friendliness.
Doctor Goldstein himself is likewise a peach, who wastes no time in getting you in, diagnosing whatever is happening with your eyes, prescribing the perfect lenses and sending you on your way. He takes time to ask questions about every single aspect of your life that might have any impact on your vision and thus draws some very good conclusions. He’s a very interesting guy with a wealth of information and impeccable professionalism.
I will definitely be back for all of my vision needs in the future.

Dr. Goldstein was awesome. He was funny, professional and above else pleasant. He did a thorough eye exam, explained everything along the way then offered an in depth analysis about my eyes and how they relate to my learning style and study habits. I left feeling very impressed with his knowledge and would recommend him to anyone looking for a new doctor.

Wow! I was completely impressed and totally satisfied with my visit to Dr. Ron’s office! I walked in this afternoon just trying to make an appointment but they were able to fit me in right away– which was greatly appreciated since I’d been having sever headaches related to my vision. Dr. Ron gave me the most thorough and complete eye exam; he talked me through the whole thing which was great since I am an optometry amateur. In the end he pin pointed the problem EXACTLY and I have to say it was a shocking realization– I had no idea I was living with this particular, yet simply solved, eye problem. I feel like a new person knowing that a pair of low prescription glasses are going to rid me of my headaches and eye pressure. Thank you Dr. Ron! Thank goodness I moved to the neighborhood, I now get to live pain free!
PS– the administrative staff were also very kind with insurance, billing, and my lens/​frames purchase.

Fantastic experience. From the minute I walked in the door I was treated great by the entire staff. The office was well organized, clean and efficient. Dr. Goldstein and his staff are a class act. Friendly, professional and patient.

I just went to Dr. Goldstein since I recently moved to the neighborhood and needed a close eye doctor. I was blown away by his assessment. It was over the top and way more detail than any other doctor I have been to. Based on my prescription, he went into a Meyers/​Briggs like assessment of how my brain processes information, explaining why I do the job i do, how i probably studied in college, etc. It was truly fascinating.
I can’t wait to go back! They also have a great assortment of high-​end frames, for those of you looking to fulfill your VSP allotment.

Dr. Goldstein is the best! I say that having gone to optometrists and opthemologists since I was six months old. He was so informative. He was quick. And he was reasonably priced. What more could you want out of a doctor?

Dr. Goldstein is nice, his office is clean, his staff is friendly. He has a lot of high end eye wear and a huge selection of it. I am glad I found him, I would recommend him to all.

Dr Ron at Square In The Eye is the best! If you’re in need of an eye exam, glasses, contacts, etc. — Dr Ron is your man. He’s knowledgeable as well as pleasant. He has a great sense of humor, which makes you feel at ease while you are getting your eye exam. He will discuss different options with you and gives you the opportunity to try different contact lens samples before you make a final decision as to which ones work best for you. He will gladly answer any questions you might have and takes the time to discuss your medical history, etc.
His staff is also very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. The shop carries a wonderful selection of high quality eyeglass frames to choose from. Last time I got new glasses, I had my heart set on these lovely black Prada frames, but they didn’t have the exact model in stock. They were more than happy to special order them for me. It took them less than a week to get them in and they were even happy to refund me if I hadn’t liked them!
The hours here are flexible too — he’s open past 5 on several evenings and even has weekend hours!
