Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan SoHo Village

The room was tiny. The A/​C unit (way too close to the bed) was very loud and blasted dust and moldy air. The bathroom was dirty (stained on the walls, doors, around the toilet). The floor was very loud (slapping doors constantly) and the fact that anyone can just get in & out (no key required for elevator, etc.) didn’t leave us feel very safe.
One good thing though: front desk staff Allison and Alfredo are gems. They should run this place.

Stayed 1 night; small rooms but clean. Good enough for me. Front desk was very nice and welcoming! I will return.

The Four Points Sheraton Hotels are generally modern, clean and have a great vibe. The location in Soho has a great location however the rooms are somewhat dated. There is lot of construction in the area that starts up pretty early so if you’re looking for peace and quite, this may not be the best location. However if you want to be in walking distance from the Village and the many restaurants, cafes and shopping it offers, this is a great location.
The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating… its hard to get by the front desk with an acknowledgement or some sort in the form of a «hello» or «how is it going». They have valet parking for $ 48 per night with no in and out privileges. If you don’t mind a short walk, you can park overnight for $ 32-​$ 36.
The bathrooms are also tiny but not completely out of line with the average size of an average NYC hotel. We asked for a fridge in the room and they hauled up this old mini fridge that had some cobwebs on it.
Don;t think I’ll stay at this location again. If I want an economy hotel in the village, The Mulberry is a good choice otherwise I would look at the Four Points on Canal or mid-​town.

Most pleasant stay at this hotel! Efficient and pleasant employees at the reception desk, with accommodating housekeepers. I can’t complain anything about the room and I can be picky. There’s a 24 hr supermarket one block away and easy subway links for quite a few lines. It’s also one subway stop to Chinatown. Truly an ideal hotel!

This is a great budget conscious options for NYC. Love the location for those who want to walk SoHo or up through The Village.
Worthy of note is the front office manager Brian Matos. We stay at least once a year and his professionalism and friendliness makes checking into what’s really a no frills/​crash pad property feel like a step up from what it is.
Rooms are small. Bathrooms are relatively recently remodeled and clean.

Most friendly and accommodating staff we have experienced at a hotel in a long time, and we do a lot of traveling. From the front desk (Allison), head of housekeeping, and the friendly bell/​security guy, to the manager Sophie, we felt the sincere efforts of ensuring a wonderful stay from everyone we came into contact with. It’s hard to explain how friendly and warm the entire staff was in comparison to what a typical hotel experience is like, but it certainly inspired us to write a review, so just know that it was outstanding!
The only recommendation for improvement we could come up with is kinda funny, but an upgrade in the toilet paper department would certainly make our stay more «comfortable» ;-)

Two stars, mostly for convenience. The hotel is about a block from the subway, which is nice and a short walk to the High Line or Tribecca. Other than that, there is very few positives to write about.
The hotel is very small and cramped, and while I understand this is NYC and space is a premium, I have been to other Starwood hotels in the city which utilize the small space they are afforded in a much more efficient manner. The hallways are very cramped, and with a maid cart in them you almost are unable to pass.
Our room was kind of dirty and the toilet did not work when we first arrived. This was very irritating when we had people visiting us at the hotel. There were no other rooms to switch to.
The elevators were broken almost the entire time we were there. One was completely out, and the other was having issues and stopping at every single floor on its way up and down. This meant that if you called it from 10+ floors up and no one was on it to hit the «close door» button it would sit on each floor for almost a minute. There also is no service elevator at this hotel, so the one elevator was constantly filled/​being used by maintenance and housekeeping.
Overall I would never stay here again, easily the worst SPG hotel I have stayed in.

Honestly, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed in the penthouse suite, and it was gorgeous. Every time we came back, it was clean and beautiful, with everything we could possibly need. Waters, wash clothes, etc. when we went to check out, we had the best of the best customer service. Trinita and Allison were amazing. So friendly and helpful, it made me feel like I was a part of New York City, when I’m from across the country in Southern California. Excellent job Four Points By Sheraton. Definitely earned a 5 star rating from me!

Really nice staff, good bar, great location to be near fun things, fast wi-​fi, comfortable room with nice amenities as at all Four Points.
The reason for the low rating is that even on the 15^th floor the street noise was intolerable. I stayed at their location off Times Square on a low floor and was able to sleep just fine, but this was jarring.

I like this hotel because the staff is down to earth, they have a bar and a good restaurant, the rooms are comfy with nice views, and you’re pretty much in walking distance to everything. Maybe I’m partial to this hotel because of my own personal experience, but I really love this hotel and I think you should give it a chance. Make your own experience and enjoy your time in New York at the Sheraton four points.

I could have come on a bad night, but there were a few things that might be worth noting:
–The hotel is located next to the Holland Tunnel/​highways, and (at least while I was there) this means in the summer in NY, they do construction in the middle of the night. I arrived at 2am and the construction was LOUD (bring ear plugs).
–My toilet was unable to flush, even when I removed the back lid and attempted to fix (don’t find this out the hard way).
–One of the elevators was out, and yes, it is a looong wait.
It is nice and clean enough, though some stuff (like rust along the metal in the shower & missing light fixtures) isn’t the most pleasing to the eye, but overall not that big a deal. The staff are really great, and were there when I arrived at 2am!
2 stars due to noise (I’ve lived in NY and this was definitely loud!), toilet problems, and inefficiency of elevator (I was worried I’d be late to my meeting considering how long it took). If there is something in the area that is comparable pricing, I will likely try it next time.

This Four Points hotel suited us perfectly since we were hoping in staying in the SOHO area at a lower cost. The location was perfect but in an area that completely lacks in charm, but you are a few blocks away from the heart of SOHO. The staff is kind and gracious, very attentive to guest´s needs. The hotel itself has no character and lacks creature comforts. Our room was small and not very well thought out, our air-​conditioner was a horror story in itself. It basically had two options of use, on and off. So either you freeze or you face the heat. And in all it was an OK experience, I can only recommend the location.

Loving the hotel, penthouse has vaulted window ceilings w/​electronic blinds. Great view of the Hudson River to the left and the Empire State Building to the right. Breakfast vouchers for $ 31 total meant for a party of two given for each night you stay. Breakfast menu has delicious, eggs, juice, and the likes.
Only negative is the elevators are not the fastest and there are only two of them.

We had a nice experience here but encountered a few problems that likely aren’t the norm but I think are worth sharing.
At the time of our stay, they were working on one of the two elevators, which was out of commission for approximately 6 – 8 weeks. I normally wouldn’t complain, but I think this work led to some other problems we experienced.
When we arrived, no one was available to take our bags. At the time, I was alone with my infant child and had way too much stuff to handle alone so I had to make multiple trips inside before checking in.
Our room was really nice, but using the elevator was a major chore. We would have to wait up to 10 minutes for the elevator to come. I once even had to call the front desk from my cell because the elevator never came and it seemed like some on the staff was taking over the elevator and controlling it with the master key. I say this because the elevator light would periodically turn off after waiting for a few minutes.
When the elevators are fully fixed I’m sure this place is 4 stars, but our experience was only 3 stars.

For being a last minute booking the price was great and the hotel was –even though tiny– very clean. Staff was great also, very customer friendly.
The restaurant/​bar was good. Food was ok, service was ok (they messed up our order) but nothing major. Good selection of beers but most of all, the place looked inviting. I would come back if given same deal.
We could get anywhere from here.

Not somewhere I would stay again.
Let’s start with the key word to describe the place… SMALL. The hallways are incredibly narrow, which gives you the first hint at the rooms. Tiny. Like claustrophobic can’t turn around going to trip over yourself kind of tiny. Bathrooms are too small to really shut the door. Beds were ok.
The place is VERY noisy. Of course, that could be because we were put on the 3^rd floor, despite having requested a high floor room. They told me there were no other rooms of the same type… then I realized they didn’t even put us in the room type that I had reserved! I booked a king bed, but was given 2 double/​queen.
Restaurant: avoid. The service was great, but the food was awful. Simple breakfast, barely edible. Scrambled eggs were cremated to a tough rubbery texture. Sausage also over-​cooked. French toast wasn’t cooked enough. English muffin barely toasted and floppy.
Staff: front desk staff was hit and miss. The guy who checked us in wasn’t great. Everyone else seemed nice.
All in all, just not a great experience. Glad I was only there 2 nights before moving to a better hotel.

Everything about this hotel was terrific. Conveinent, clean and affordable. I have stayed in many New York hotels and this is now my favorite.
It doesn’t have the pedigree or lavish lobby that other NewYork hotels have but who stays in the lobby? The staff and other guests were laid back and did not have an elitist attitude that I have experienced in mid town hotels.
The staff was exceptional. They were friendly and helpful in a truly sincere way. Unfortunately I only remember one name, Leon, but they were all fantastic.

This was a last minute hotel stay and it was so worth it!
Good customer service and friendly staff! The bar is cute and opens until a good time!
The room was small but cute! I like how they worked with the small space! I had no complaints about my room except the sink would clog up! Other than that the bathroom was clean, with clean towels and cute! The bed sheets were pure white with no stains and no dirt! I melted in the king size bed!!! They had body size pillows that I loved!
I would totally stay here again because its close to trains, restaurants and night life! What more can you asked for!!!

We came up to see our son who is a sophomore in NYC. This property was our top pick because it was just steps from the 1 train which we would take to get to the Upper Westside (UWS) where our son is at school!
You could also walk around the the Village, which we did walking to Saint Lukes Place and checking out all of the cool townhouses on that street! The West Village is the place to be. Now as for the room, well it was clean and had a full sized King bed not some scaled down version of it.
The room was small by anywhere else in the US other than a select few cities like New York or San Francisco, but hey it’s NEW YORK BABY! fogetaboutit.
The staff was most helpful when we were looking for a place to place our bags since our room was not ready yet and we wanted to go out and explore that part of the city.
Starwood Properties Never Disappoint!

We stayed in 3 different hotels during our NY trip and this was my least favorite. It’s clean and pretty close to the subway, but my expectations had been higher. The front desk person checking us in seemed tired, not rude but not that welcoming either, and one of the elevators wasn’t working.
In the room: the remote to the tv maybe needed new batteries because it wasn’t working that well, the air-​conditioner was super loud (but thankfully working), and there is bottled water, but not sure if it’s complimentary to all guests or only if you’re a Starwood member? Or, if there’s a difference?
Bed was comfy and the water pressure from the shower was my favorite part of the stay. They also offer free Wi-​Fi which is great.
We checked out early due to our flight no one offered to flag us a cab like at the other hotels we stayed at. The overall experience was just so-​so and probably wouldn’t stay at this location again.
