I’m not someone that usually complains but this place left a bitter taste in my mouth that I have to say something. I came in looking for a pair of boots with my husband and we were greeted at the front door by 2 sales people(it was a quiet Sunday morning) and both of them looked straight to our feet to see what shoes we had on I understand it’s a shoe shop but seriously do you have to make it that obvious that you are judging what I am wearing on my feet!!! At least wait until we have walked past before checking out the shoes we are wearing! We continued to walk through the shop and walk towards the back of the shop checking out shoes and the guy from the front of the store followed us dragging his feet it was extremely annoying GIVEMESOMESPACE!!! Give me time to have a look at the shoes and then come and check in to see if I need anything and not follow me around dragging your feet and breathing down my neck. So after being judged and followed throughout the store we walked out we went to Bloomingdales next door and bought a pair of boots there instead. I will admit there is a great selection of shoes there but the sales people in there need a serious adjustment in how they deal with potential customers.

I used the Unilocal $ 5 off $ 50 deal over the holidays and wound up saving about $ 15(compared to the dept. store up the block) on a pair of Ugg slippers for my mom. Was in and out of the store in about fgive minutes, the staff was pleasant and helpful, and my mom was happy with the slippers(they were the only thing on her Christmas list, so she should have been!). :)

DON’T GOIN! This place is a disaster. The salespeople were completely uninterested in helping, lazy and unprofessional. After being ignored for several minutes, I finally had to go up to one of them and ask them to please bring my daughter the pair of Toms she was interested in trying on. When I asked him to please measure her first to determine her size, he said, just have her take off her shoes and see what size she’s wearing and we’ll just get her one of those. He didn’t care whether the shoes fit, and he told us wrongly that Toms doesn’t come in half sizes. In a neighborhood where there are so many stores and so much competition, I don’t understand how this place, with such miserable customer service, stays in business. Honestly, I love shoes, but I don’t care how much I adore something in that store, there is NO way I’d ever give them any money.

I was excited about going to this store for the only reason that it was 1) around the location I was that day and 2) «they carry Toms for kids»(what I was looking for)… SALESREP are terrible, unprofessional, uneducated… All they care is about commission over service. My son tried a size 6 when I ordered to pairs in the SAMESIZE of course the sales rep forgot to tell me they didn’t have it in the colors I choose, instead went on to decide on his own to give me two different sizes and put them on the register for me to pay; if it wasn’t for me to open the boxes I would of went home with two pair of shoes that wouldn’t fit my child till next year!

WHOAWHOAWHOA overzealous salesman! You aren’t talking to some shoe novice here. Stopped in here last week when i was on the hunt for the Sebago Spinnaker Boat Shoes. I wanted to try it on to see the sizing and also in a specific color, once i got the sizing down i asked the salesman if they had it in a certain color and then even showed him it on the phone and he said they didn’t have it. But then continued to try to convince me to buy this pair. I literally laughed and said if you can order this color and then drop it down by $ 30 dollars to match the price on you have yourself a deal. ALLTHESALESPANDERINGSTOPPEDWITHTHAT. This establishment has to get control of their pushy sales people. Other than that it has a pretty good selection of Sperry’s, Sebago, Champion shoes etc. But i mean David Z literally a few steps away next door has cheaper prices. You guys should match them or undercut them.

Some lady yelled at me for taking a picture of a shoe. I was sending it to my boyfriend to get his opinion. Had I not been yelled at like a criminal, I probably would have bought the shoe. Don’t be a jerk to your customers.

I love this place. I’ve been going in there for years, with my bike, and they’re nice about it. Since I don’t buy that many shoes anyhow, I like to get good ones that are like«hooves» to me, and get the Dansko clogs every time. They are patient with me while I try on numerous pairs to get«just the right fit» and even go down to their warehouse to get ones that were discontinued or just never tried on before.

They definitely have a great selection of shoes, especially the Toms, which at this moment, seems to be everywhere. But has anyone noticed the $ 5 or $ 6 price difference between the actual retail price and their price?(Forecast shoes charge more) It’s not much, but if you are planning to buy the Toms shoes in every colors like I do, then it might be worth considering.

Great selection of boots. They have a lot of brands here. I was specifically looking for Pajar Canada, and hadn’t been able to find that brand at other SoHo shoe stores. I noticed a wide selection of Miz Mooz too. I walk by this place a lot, and it seems like they’re always having a sale. A lot of varieties were on discount throughout the store, not just a clearance section.

I didn’t know that it was really that difficult to simply buy a pair of tall classic black uggs in bloomingdales. the place was like a mobfest today… I waited 30 minutes just to be told that they didn’t have what i was looking for, so I came here. They have a good selection of stuff(Toms, Frye, Hunter, Birkenstock, Ugg, etc) so i’m assuming that the place isn’t really as sketchy as it seemed. The guy who helped me out(James) kind of scared me. I guess he was trying to be nice, but he kept hitting on me like the world was ending(ie. your eyes are really pretty, what’s your name, oh let me give you a card, etc). I wished he weren’t so up in my face… Otherwise, really good service, very sweet guy. Oh and the bags that they give you are kinda… cheapish. They’re bright orange and its not something youd want to proudly carry around SoHo.

There was a sign outside that said«Sale» on boots so I had to check it out and see what was on sale and exactly what the sale was. They have a moderate selection of footwear. I headed to the back where the boots were and took a look. I ended up trying on a pair of boots, but because they do not accept any returns, I took my time in trying them on and walking around the store to make sure the boots were comfortable and basically, worth the money I was dishing out on them. Throughout my trying-on time, some people did trickle in, but nobody stayed long enough to try on shoes. Also, both the salesmen kept coming to me to see how I was doing and one of them kept trying to «sell» me the boot saying«they don’t make this color any more,» «you can’t find this color anywhere else,» etc. I told him I was just making sure it fit right since it was a lot of money for a pair of boots. After a long while and some contemplation, I ended up purchasing them. The sale price was good for the boots, but after the sales tax, it cost just as much as regular price. Also, I think checking in with your customer is a good idea, but here, I felt suffocated with the constant check ins and the selling spiel.

So, let me preface by saying that I realize my anger toward this place is likely stemming from an anger with myself for being duped. Here’s what happened. I went in looking for WATERPROOF boots. I told the saleswoman, Jenny, that I specifically needed waterproof only, but they didn’t have the Timberlands that I wanted in my size. Then I wanted one other WATERPROOF shoe but they were also out of that. Then I looked at a Born boot styled much like the Timberland. I asked THREE times and Jenny said yes, they were definitely waterproof, even though it didn’t actually say WATERPROOF anywhere on the boot or box.(My stupid mistake for believing her!) Since two other stores I had tried were also out of the Timberlands I was looking for, I bought the Borns because I was in desperate need of waterproof shoes, having gotten soaked the day before and knowing nasty weather was in the forecast. When I got home I looked them up online and of course, NOTWATERPROOF. Unfortunately, they only give store credit in return, and of course, they are OUT of the the only other shoes I wanted to buy. So I’m fracked! $ 110 of credit at a store that doesn’t have what I need, and NOWATERPROOF boots for the winter. Fracking. Lame.

This is a very good shoe store in Soho. The prices are excellent. I got a pair of shoes and boots for around $ 270. They have a wide variety and nice salespeople. A guy named Abdul helped me. I would definitely go back to this store when shopping for shoes. All the other places I looked in Soho were too expensive.
