Eggplant Parm Hero + Roasted Red Peppers is my sammie. It’s $ 13.50, but that’s okay, because it’s lunch AND dinner(big sammie). Such a wonderful sammie

Hands down the BEST Italian sub I have ever had. I travel to New York quite often for business and I always have to grab an Italian sub from Faicco’s for my train ride home. It is simple enough to call ahead with my order and pickup time, walk in, grab my sandwiches, and be right on my way! One time they forgot to make the order, but had my(three) sandwiches ready in only five minutes — with absolutely no decrease in quality. The first thing I thought when I saw these sandwiches was«these things are massive». And I thought, wrongly, that the quality would not be there based on the size of the sandwich. I was so wrong! The mozzarella was thick and fresh, every layer of prosciutto was thinly sliced, and I believe that red peppers are pickled on-site. All of that and more, with a light layer of Italian seasoning. And it’s not just me — I have talked to random people, friends, even über drivers about the«best sandwich I have ever had,» and before even finishing my sentence they chime in with, «Faicco’s?» If that’s not a sign of greatness, I don’t know what is!

My family came from Los Angeles to try the famous sandwich. We ordered Italian Special and Chicken cutlet with broccoli Rabe sandwich. It exceeds our expectation and the portion was generous. I will definitely come back again.

I will definitely be returning here in Faicco! After moving to New York, Unilocal is my best buddy in finding great restaurants in this city. Then, I found Faicco, another restaurant that worth my time, money and all. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I ordered Italian Special, topped with Prosciutto, ham cappy, sopressata, mozzarella, lettuce, tomatoes, r. peppers, or s.d. tomatoes. Chicken Cutlet(Mozzarella & Roasted Peppers Or Sun Dried Tomatoes) is a must try as well. I am very particular with the cleanliness of the restaurant my first consideration whether to come back or not. So far, Faicco nailed it! Thanks!

I absolutely love this place. Everything here, from the sandwiches to the deli meats, this place has it all! I highly recommend the Italian Specialty Sandwich. $ 14.00 is a bit pricy for a sandwich from a deli I guess, but the sheer size of this mambo baby is phan-taste-ic.(Bun* intended). This place just makes me feel happy. Coming into a specialties store like this makes me excited and it is just filled with specialized prosciutto, salami, soprasetta, etc. I just loves it so much! I have yet to try the refrigerated foods yet; however, I can say firmly that their meatball marinara was absolutely fantastic. Every time I come here, it’s the meatball and the Italian, $ 24.00 and I’m out! and to be perfectly honest, I can only eat about ¾ths of the sammich, and I eat a lot!

Been trying to make it to Faiccos since I moved to manhattan 2 years ago. Hours are tight so it took me a while to find the right opportunity. Finally came in on a Saturday around 1. The place was hoppin with people. And I don’t blame them. The place is great. Between packaged products, deli meats, beef and poultry and sausages, cured meats, etc this place has some awesome products. We went for the sandwiches but ended up getting rice and prosciutto balls, as well as a slew of different dried meats. The rice ball($ 1) was amazing. The prosciutto ball($ 1.50) was good but a little too heavy for me. The hot sopresatta($ 16.99/lb) was amazing. Got a quarter lb. Also got a garlic caciattore dried sausage($ 16.99/lb). Haven’t cracked into it yet. Now for the sandwiches. We got the chicken cutlet with broc rabbe and the italian special. Both were between $ 12 – 14. The cutlet with broc rabbe was good but just slightly too dry. The fresh mozz helped though. The italian special on the other hand was incredible. Absolutely perfect. Hot peppers, dried meats, prosciutto, veggies, just awesome. We subbed turkey instead of ham which was a great move. The thing was absolutely loaded. Great deal. See pic. Side note, get a side or two of hot peppers. Highly spicy peppers. Soooo good. Even if they are just eating alongside the sammies. Will definitely be back any time I’m in west village.

Five star chicken parm!!! While other stuff are solid but not as impressive as chicken parm. The cheese, the chicken, the tomato/pesto sauce, and the crispy cust bread. It’s just perfect — the best chicken parm I had in the city so far. We usually order through caviar, which is fast and arriving warm. I also tried meatball sandwich and rice balls. They are good too but not as outstanding as chicken parm is. I usually spilt two sandwiches with friend if I want more flavors but chicken parm is for sure one of them.

If you want supreme and I mean SUPREME quality Italian sandwiches. Then Faicco’s is your place. Chicken Parm sandwich is so tasty and might be the best thing on the menu. The Italian special looks really good and tastes amazing, but the only downside is that it’s so hard to eat. This place is tiny, so don’t expect to sit down and eat. It’s more of a grab and go kinda place. Trust me Unilocalers, I’ve eaten thousands of chicken parm sandwiches, and this is the greatest one I’ve ever eaten!!!

Hands down one of my favorite Italian sub places in this country. It easily competes with JP Graziano in Chicago that I probably had every other day while I lived there(don’t judge). Service is quick, sometimes hurried, but whatever sandwich you get, you won’t be disappointed. On a crowded street in West Village, it might be hard to spot it unless you’re specifically looking for it, but take a look inside and tell me you can resist those delicious Italian subs.

I wasn’t going to write a review, because they have so many extolling their greatness, but I last ate here in August. It is March and I am daydreaming about going back. As a vegetarian who likes subs, I went with the fresh mozz. & red peppers. Wow. In my NYC dreams, I become a regular here(without gaining 30 lbs), and they let me in on their red pepper secret. What do they do go give them such an amazing flavor? Garlic, yes, but what else? I will probably never know(or be able to come close in my own kitchen) but at least in the meantime, I can head on over and delight in their wondrous flavor(she says as she laces up her sneakers and runs out the door). (Solid mozz., fresh roll, beyond generous portions, as others have already mentioned. I concur!)

Tried this place based on its strong Unilocal reviews, and I was certainly not disappointed. I’ve walked by during lunch hour on weekdays, and the line is generally backed up to the door. No seating in here, so you’ll be taking your meal to go. Today, I went at 3pm(on a weekday) and experienced no wait. Old timey italian butcher shop that makes mean sandwiches. The menu is chock full of delicious choices, and I had a tough time choosing one for my first time! I went with the porchetta with fresh mozzarella and broccoli rabe. The guy behind the counter was super friendly and offered to heat up my sandwich for me, which I appreciated. When he handed it to me, I could feel some serious weight! The bread was outstanding. Crisp exterior, flavorful interior. The fillings were incredible. Delicious, juicy, tender porchetta, nicely soft mozzarella, and the perfect complement in the vibrant broccoli rabe. This was honestly a top 5 sandwich in my lifetime. The sandwich is a little pricey($ 13 incl. tax), but if this were served in a restaurant with table service, you wouldn’t think twice about getting it. It’s super fairly priced, and every single penny is worth it. Enough food for a hearty appetite, and could probably be split into two if you’re a light eater. Places like this are what make New York City! I hope people give Faicco’s their lunch business(instead of generic chain restaurants) and keep them in NYC for years to come!

In my opinion, perhaps the best chicken parm sandwich in New York, which is a pretty high compliment given the incredible competition in that department. The whole thing is just about perfect — the chicken, sauce, and cheese are all great, and the bread is exactly as crispy as you’d want it to be and wraps the whole thing perfectly. I’ve also tried the meatball parm, which was also very good, but maybe not quite as world class. I’ve been meaning to try others as well, but it’s really hard to go there(or order on Caviar) and not get the chicken parm. Also, while I would definitely recommend going there in person(and then snagging a table somewhere nearby since Faicco’s doesn’t actually have any seats), I’ve actually found the quality via Caviar delivery to be really good. It’s significantly more expensive, though, so I typically only do it when I have some kind of discount code, or if I’m in a seriously self-indulgent mood.

Needing a MEAL to keep myself full for the rest of the day, this spot looked like the perfect answer. Chunky subs overflowing with meat and cheese. Friday afternoon, there was barely any line at all, thus didn’t have to take a number. For my first time here, absolutely had to order the Italian Special($ 14)…plus a prosciutto ball($ 1.50), and a rice ball($ 1.00). Apparently they already had one of the Italians made because he literally picked one up as soon as the words came out of my mouth. No worries, looked delicious. Heaping pile of meat that wasn’t overbearing. The mozzarella was cut up well, though I think the sandwich could have used a bit of spicy mustard. As for the balls, found the rice ball to be lacking in flavor, but I keep emergency Sriracha in my desk for such cases. The prosciutto ball was much better and more balanced than it’s veggie counterpart. A bit on the expensive side, but honestly it’s two meals in one(though I finished all of it in 15 minutes… hungry). No space to sit down, so go to the nearby park to enjoy the meal.

One of the Best Italian delis I have been in New York City! Located on Bleecker Street in the West Village. Nice size store with plenty to offer. They have everything from cold and hot prepared dishes, hit and cold sandwiches made with fresh ingredients, different types of sausages and meat products, and Italian ingredients to make your favorite dishes. I had the chicken parmesan sandwich and the ham, salami, and provolone cheese sandwiches. The chicken parmesan is made with chicken breast that is breaded and fried to a golden brown topped of with marinara sauce and fresh mozzarella in a fresh and crusty Italian bread! Amazing! The ham, salami, and provolone cheese are freshly sliced to your desired thickness topped off with your favorite fresh ingredients in that crusty bread! So Delicious! The staff were very helpful in describing the different types of Deliciousness they offer. Highly recommend this place!

There are times you need a quintessential«Eye”-talian sammich and this place is it. Everything comprising the sandwich is grade A. Will try the pesto/chicken cutlet parm on my next visit. Meats here are slightly better than Murray’s cheese shop.

Great Italian sandwich! These guys are fast and friendly. But make sure what you want to order because the locals behind you are always in a hurry. The smell of great meats hangs in the air intoxicating you and embracing were you don’t want to leave the shop. No seats. Best idea is to take your sandwich to nearby Washington Square, pick a place to sit there, and enjoy while you people watch. And have people watch you eat this fabulous Faicco’s masterpiece!

Dude brah. I love this place. I’m a sucker for a good Italian sandwich, and these never disappoint. I’ve never been out to the location in Brooklyn, but I’m fine with this location being less than a mile away on Bleecker Street. Walking into an old school New York Italian deli can be slightly intimidating, especially if you’re not a regular. When I first came here, I expected to be yelled at and hurried through my order. But the guys behind the counter were very kind, patient, and explained a lot of the more popular items. My current go-to is the Italian special. Loaded with Italian meats, cheese, peppers and lettuce and tomato, it’s more than enough for 1 hungry person. The chicken cutlet with broccoli rabe and pesto is also pretty killer. I often save one half for later, and I’m a person who can really put away a good sandwich. At $ 14, it’s a bit on the steeper side, but completely worth it given the quality of ingredients. The arancini(rice balls), are great too, and not bad for about $ 1 each. Not only can you get these sandwiches, but also meats sliced to order, and a number of imported Italian groceries, if you’re one for authenticity. Prices are again, a bit more expensive, but you can’t go wrong with any of their offerings. Come here for a killer Italian sandwich or some arancini. You shan’t regret it.
