This place is incredible. By far the most effective and clinical facial I have ever had, even better than the one I had in my acclaimed dermatologist’s office. I left with a serious glow. They are skin gurus here — a must if you are looking for the best facial in NYC, maybe the world…

Very few places make you feel like you have just been inducted in an exclusive club like Erno Lazlo The Institute does. From my arrival, the high ceilings, grand staircase and grandeur of it made me feel like I was a Hollywood starlet of the 40’s. I was greeted by Jolanta that took extra care in listening to my skin concerns and history before even leaving the lobby. I instantly felt taken care of. Once the procedure began, I nearly fell asleep at the table from how relaxed I was. The facial itself had far more elaborated steps than any run of the mill Spa facial. It even included light therapy tailored to my concern of hyperpigmentation (acne scarring).
After the treatment was over, I floated to the front desk to find Jolanta setting up a regimen that targetted everything I had mentioned earlier in the treatment, down to the minimal detail! They even graciously gave me a sample of the cleanser since I wanted to ensure it would not break out my sensitive skin.
Two weeks later, Jolanta emailed to see how I was doing, which was a very personal touch and allowed me to express my satisfaction with how my skin has been looking since my facial. My acne scars have gotten SO much lighter, nearly gone! My skin is smooth and glowing which is something hard to do in the winter harshness.
I would recommend the treatments by Jolanta and her colleagues any day! Detailed, reliable service that leaves you feeling relaxed, luxurious and your skin looking 10x better!

Just walking into the Institute you start to feel relaxed and in luxury. The décor is absolutely gorgeous! Everything is clean, beautiful, and elegant. I was warmly greeted by my esthetician Eliana. She asked me several questions about the concerns I had with my skin, my home routine, as well as what products I use. She then guided me to the treatment rooms down the grand spiral staircase.
The environment downstairs is very peaceful. I was asked to change and lay in a very comfortable and warm bed.
She created a personalized treatment and worked for an hour, doing microdermabrasion, extractions, oxygen and a wonderful mask.
I appreciated this treatment because it was personal and full of knowledge.
After a couple of days, my skin looked and felt amazing!
My esthetician followed up with me after my appointment to see how my skin was doing, how the products were working and to see if I had any other concerns.
Erno Laszlo is a well known institute and you had to be a member to be able to receive the kind of treatment I received that day, I am happy they’ve started to take on non-​member clients. It is worth every penny. When you make your appointment, ask for Eliana! I promise you will feel like a queen or king after your treatment with her!

I was recommended to the Erno Laszlo Institute by a friend that is a member. She constantly raves about the service and treatments and I had been wanting to go, but until recently, it was a members-​only spa. My friend connected me to her skin therapist, Eliana, and it was a truly amazing experience.
I scheduled the appointment over the phone with Peter and he was very informative and accommodating. I came about 10 minutes early so Eliana and I can go over a questionnaire about my skin regimen, products and any areas of concern that I had with my skin. This was definitely more than your just «feel good spa». It sort of felt like I was meeting with a personal trainer when you’re at the gym.
We then walked to the lower level to my treatment room and I was asked to change. When she returned, she immediately started to perform her treatment, and I wish I could tell you more about the treatment, but I fell asleep (this is a good thing). When I woke up an hour later, she was finished. My skin felt brand new: glowing and rejuvenated. It turned out that she had performed microdermabrasion on my neck, shoulders, arms and hands. This was definitely not your basic facial! It was totally amazing and I plan on joining once I get my budget in order. Until then, I’ll see her when I can. I highly recommend Erno Laszlo and Eliana! You will not regret it!

I hadn’t had a facial in years, so when a friend gave me one for my birthday I was super excited! I’d heard about Erno Laszlo products, but had never tried them before myself.
The store/​spa is very spacious, modern, cozy and clean. I was greeted with a smile by the manager of the store, and offered a cute little tray of hot herbal tea and candied ginger as I filled out the detailed intake form before my facial. It wasn’t too long, but was detailed enough to feel like a medi-​spa. They were interested in addressing my specific skin concerns, not just providing a relaxing, pampering treatment. I was lucky to have the lead therapist, Judit Galambosi, as my esthetician. She was very kind and made me feel comfortable from the beginning. She looked at my intake forms and asked any related questions; was very thorough and seemed knowledgable and genuinely interested in creating a customized experience.
I was led down a spiral staircase to the treatment rooms, it was very quiet and inviting. The treatment tables, which were more like beds… holy Lord, they were ergonomic so that my knees were bent, legs raised, head slightly raised, and also heated and the linens were very soft and high quality. Judit proceeded to work with care for an hour, cleansing, performing extractions, applying creams and serums, and whatever other magical concoctions on my face. It felt like a massage, but also like I was getting experienced medical care. Afterward, I took a short nap on another ergonomic table receiving light therapy specifically programmed to treat my main concerns, which were melasma and black heads around my nose.
I was encouraged to take my time getting dressed, after which Judit met me upstairs to talk to me about the session, and to give me her prescribed Erno Laszlo regimen for my skin. She talked me through each product, and gave me sizeable samples for each one.
Since the treatment, I’m enjoying the products. My skin has felt very soft and hydrated. I may just have to continue using them… Judit also emailed me to check in with how my skin is doing on the products, and offered to answer any further questions, which I thought was very nice and professional.
I highly recommend the Erno Laszlo Institute for a beautiful combination of a pampered getaway and a knowledgable medical treatment.

Ok. Where to begin.
Take a piece of heaven, add a bit of motherly love, place it in a warm comfortable environment — and you have the recipe for a life changing experience. I received a personalized treatment based on my particular skin needs (slightly oily, ingrown hairs, etc). I truly walked out feeling completely reborn.
Overall, I have to say, not only was my treatment stress relieving but I noticed a rejuvenated glow to my skin and complexion days later. This is an absolute recommend. Be sure to ask for Judit.

I received the best facial I have ever received by an aesthetician was here at Erno Lazlo.
Judit was so helpful and comprehensive; she asked me many questions and gave me the facial of the year.
She started with cleaning my face and neck with the Erno Lazlo signature black soap, to continue with microdermabrasion, extraction, massage, face mask and finally light therapy for oxygen to the skin.
I came out looking 5 years younger and feeling like a million dollars.

From the moment I entered the Erno Laszlo Institute, it was pure bliss and luxury. The place itself is amazing, from the décor to the ambiance. Upon walking in, I was greeted, brought to a waiting area and asked if I wanted a beverage and if I would like my coat to be hung up. I only had to wait a few moments before the esthetician (Jolanta Smusz) that would be working with my face/​skin came and greeted me as well. She sat down beside me to ask me questions about my skin, expectations and goals that I wanted to achieve with my skin. She was friendly and professional, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I then followed her down a beautiful staircase an into a treatment room. The room was great, with every amenity one would need; hangers, robe and slippers. She then left me for a few moments in which I got comfortable and laid on the bed. She came in and from that point it was heaven. I have never had someone pay so much attention to my skin, use the amount of tools or have the knowledge about skin as Jolanta did. At the beginning she guided me and explained the treatments she recommended in which I agreed and then began the treatment. I CANNOT stress how amazing and how much detail goes into the 75 minute facial. Everything that she did or recommends is included in the price of the facial, which is great. I did not want my session to end, but once it did, I got dressed and met Jolanta outside of the treatment room. We walked back upstairs, to the main floor, which she had already laid out samples of her recommendations of products that would be most beneficial to my skin. It wasn’t like she pulled the products out of a hat, but she gave me a remedy for my skin. It’s like a personalized prescription. The best thing was that I didn’t feel pressured to buy any products, because she wanted me to try the samples and see which I liked/​worked the best. At that point I can come in and purchase the products. She then gave me her card and told me she would be in contact with me. At every moment, from when I walked in until she walked me out, I felt at home. She made me feel special and dedicated her time to me. I would recommend this place to both men and women. The level of attention is immeasurable. 11 out of 10!

Why is it I can only buy my laszlo products here or online?! I wish they were more broadly available, but love this spot in soho.

I received the facial as a gift, from a friend.
The place is spectacular, and I assume the flagship for the brand.
I wasn’t greeted, they let me wander for 10 min and it seemed like there was a disagreement between the people working there on whose client another person was.
As for the treatment, I really felt that the esthetician had very little knowledge of what she was doing. I’m not saying that it was terrible, but for nearly $ 400, I would expect something a bit more than every other facial in Manhattan that is ¹⁄₃ of the cost.

I had the extreme pleasure of getting a facial here. My mom is a long time fan of the products, so naturally I inherited that fondness. I use a few of the products at home, too and they really are amazing. My experience with the facial was impeccable from the start to finish. They really value customer service and my aesthetician was extremely meticulous. Unlike other spas, they offer customized facials at only once price. That means depending on your needs and skin issues you could get the whole nine yards or a lighter treatment. Luckily, for me my skin problems aren’t too great so I didn’t need too much work done. During the facial I was extremely comfortable and after she made sure to inform me how to upkeep my skincare with free samples of products. If you love to invest in your skin, a membership here is quite worth it.

Suzanne, she is a true gem. I frequent spas often and I have to say the attention to detail with my treatment at Erno Laszlo was the best I have ever had. Suzanne sat with me for about 10 mins and we spoke in great detail about my skin. This being my first facial, I was a bit apprehensive to have treatment and new products applied to my sensitive skin. Within moments I felt confident and secure that she would take good care of me. We entered the treatment room and from there on it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Suzanne was friendly, gentle, informative and caring. She was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of my questions with ease. She offered a variety of treatments that felt like they were created and designed just for my skin. It lasted a good amount of time and I never felt rushed and left completely relaxed and refreshed. Best of all my skin was radiant and glowing and looked and still looks amazing!
All I have to say is wow. I am thrilled I tried it out and look forward to another visit soon.

5 stars for the products but…
Unless you are patient, very patient, DO NOT ORDER from the institute.
I placed an order last monday february 23^rd and as of yesterday march 3^rd, no goodies.
Since they closed so many retail outlets a couple of years ago, access to the products can be challenging. Ie, the Los Angeles area: If you live on the west side, like Beverly hills, Santa Monica, you are out of luck… you would have to drive to the Nordstrom in Woodland Hills or Glendale to get some products.
They may give you some extra samples at the institute, and build some $ credit, but if you are in a bind order it from Amazon instead.

I was just here to collect an egg for the Easter Egg Hunt and they gave me free samples. Really nice people especially Daniel.
