ENT and Allergy Associates

Exceptional Doctor for pediatrics but abysmal service that really hurts the practice. My last appointment was 3 hours later than the scheduled time with no phone call beforehand. I was very understanding at the time because I think the doctor is great but having a 4yr old in the doctors office till 9pm was tough. I now need some follow up medical records and have spent multiple hours trying to attain those. My child’s treatment is currently delayed due to the ineptitude of the administrative staff. I still haven’t received what I need and will be looking for a new practice.

I came in for my first allergy test ever. Service was good the place is run like a business which can be good and bad. Can be very busy and you feel like you are 1 of 1000 patients. Doctor I saw was good and took time talking to me. I hadn’t met my deductible for my health insurance and was slapped with almost a$ 1k bill. They charged $ 250 just for the office visit and about $ 800 for the allergy skin test. Beware and make sure you are covered before having these tests.

This is an update from my last review. I just wanted to clarify that I have no complaints about the doctor who treated me and I understand certain procedures done may not be covered with insurance. I just felt my concerns were not handled correctly. The manager for the practice gave me a call and apologized for how I was treated by their billing department. I’m revising my review to 3 stars one for the manager I spoke to, and one for the doctor that treated me. I understand the frustration of good doctors on finding good support staff.

Love this location and have been back a second time!!! Came here with some severe sinus congestion and knew something had to be up. One week prior I went to the local urgent care in union square and they gave me some crap that did NOT work and I felt worse and worse.
So the appointment started off a little shakey though… I made an appointment via zoc doc — PLEASE NOTE they seem to have problems with booking appointments in this fashion so MAKE SURE You just call. I was a little irritated by the fact that they said my appoitment was an hour earlier, but Dr. Roheen Raithatha would see me.
I am SO HAPPY that I found Dr. Raithatha. He took his time in explaining what was happening with my nose and even showed me the video of how clogged and congested it was. He then explained in detail what medications I would need etc. etc. I was having some headaches afterwards and was able to call him afterwards for more questions and he was concerned and friendly.
Like I said, although zoc doc experience messed up I am glad I found a great ear nose throat doctor for all of my sinus infections.

My appointment was at 5:20pm. I got both a text message and email reminder to show up 15 minutes early, so I did. At 5:30 I was called in for a hearing test. Then I waited for the doctor. At 6:05pm I was still waiting. I had been there an hour and had still not seen the doctor. I asked and each time they kept telling me soon, there’s one more patient, etc.
At 6:15pm I left without seeing the doctor because I was too irritated about the waiting. I have no problems with the doctors there at all but they are overbooking or underestimating the amount of time per patient. I wasted an hour sitting there. No apologies, nothing. Not happy.

Made an appointment via zocdoc and filled out all my paperwork prior to coming in (15 min early) to make my appointment time run faster. STILL, waited an hour and a half to be called in! I was the one out of three patients waiting in the office. Now about ten other patients have gone in that came after me. I went up to the receptionist to ask about the wait time and instead of being apologetic she stated «that’s why I try to tell patients when they come in if the doctor is running behind»… I responded, «but you didn’t.» It’s soooo frustrating after having done everything you possibly could and then to have the professionals not take accountability for their own actions or in this case, lack of. Really not happy.

I would highly recommend ENT & Allergy Associates. I made an appointment with Dr. Godin, based on the excellent reviews that I read. He turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. Dr. Godin was friendly, helpful, and informative. I was also very pleased with the nurse assigned to me and the staff member that assisted me during the hearing tests. If you’re looking for an ENT doctor that will give you reassurance/​clarification in regards to your symptoms, as well as an enjoyable visit, then Dr. Godin is your guy. Excellent service. Went here due to a middle ear infection which was not getting better. My PCP and ENT were both out of the office so I tried here. Got an appointment same day I called. My appointment started on time and the Dr. was extremely professional as was all the staff (Front Desk, Pre-​Exam, Payment People). Had an ENT exam and a hearing test, again no wait for anything. Was extremely pleased with the level of quality care and the information provided by everyone. Polite, friendly, informative and professional.
Also, big props to them for having all forms done online in an E-​format. No more of those mounds of paper work to fill out. Talk about a breath of fresh air.
My father was a surgeon, my mother an OR Director, my step-​mother an RN, so I know my way around the medical world a bit and this office is definitely top notch. There were no hidden fees or even excessive tests. In fact, the Doctor stated that further tests were unnecessary and would be a waste of my time and money. Which I usually find to be an important indicator in the professionalism of a medical office. Testing is where they can make a lot of money and he could have ordered more, but did not because I didn’t need them.
I personally had a great experience and recommend the office and the staff as highly as I can. As with all medical offices it is critically important to verify your insurance and what it covers before you go.

I have been under the care of Dr. David Godin at ENT and Allergy Associates for the past eight years. Treatment included two successful surgical procedures and in between follow-​up visits every six months. I could not imagine a better experience. Dr. Godin’s manner is thoroughly engaging. He is both clear and direct in explaining the clinical data (I never once left his office without a thorough understanding of both diagnosis and treatment) and sensitive to the emotional needs at hand. He is an excellent doctor in all respects! The confidence he inspires is enhanced by a professional and friendly staff and an office environment that is spacious and inviting. I give Dr. Godin and ENT and Allergy Associates the highest rating: 5 stars!

Awesome experience! Many doctors there including several different ENT specialists and an allergy doc. I saw one of the ENTs who sent me to the allergy doctor because he suspected most of my blocked nose was due to allergies. The allergist was fantastic (and the nurses were very gentle with the testing and explained everything… was so easy). The allergist actually took the time to walk down the hall to speak with the ENT about what he found on the testing. They came up with a plan for my care together which I really appreciated. I didn’t feel rushed at all. We are going to try allergy meds first and if they don’t work I’ll go see the ENT again.
Really a first rate experience. This is a really big doctor practice with many offices and you can tell they know what they’re doing. Their fifth avenue location is super convenient to get to and is HUGE for a doctor’s office in Manhattan I couldn’t believe it! Very spacious and new. I felt very comfortable there. You even check in on these computer pads (which I saw the receptionist wipe down before she put it back when I handed it in which was a nice touch and I also appreciated a lot!!) Overall A++!!!

They have several offices which is convenient

The doctors seem fairly competent, but their billing department is a bunch of thugs. I called to see if they could explain what was going on with the insurance, and instead got yelled at a lot until I hung up.

Rude, unhelpful, make you wait for 30 – 40 minutes after reaching the examination room — people who man the phones make you wait at least 10 minutes to answer a simple question. Place isn’t even busy — I saw Dr. Godin, he basically rushed through things and wasn’t helpful. Hasn’t really identified the problem and provided meds — asked to come back a week later to check up. Waste of time and money. Front desk people are extremely rude and was too busy talking amongst themselves.

I was suffering from ear pain and saw my primary care doc. After he gave me drops that didn’t improve the situation, I went and saw Dr. David Godin. He cleaned out both ears alleviating the pain immediately! What a relief.
I also appreciate that they use electronic records rather than having me fill out the same forms over and over again.
The nurse was thorough and polite and to be extra careful, they gave me a hearing test.
Great doctors, nice front desk people, and thorough technicians. Would definitely recommend!

I see Dr. Palgon at their financial district location (who is excellent FYI). They sent me here for custom fit ear plugs. I met with their audiologist Sarah who was excellent and through in answering all of my questions. I highly recommended her and the practice!
Their facility is very clean and spacious too and I felt comfortable there! Not to mention, the location is a plus– especially if you like designer sample sales which always happens in that area ;)

Both the ENT and the Allergist were extremely rude and unhelpful. They also charged me for things that I didn’t need and hardly listened to my symptoms. I have a history of ENT visits and after having fabulous ENTs in North Carolina I was shocked at how egotistical and yet useless these doctors were.

I’ve had 4 appointments at ENT & Allergy Associates. I’ve had great experiences there. Their back office staff is probably the only reason for the one star drop. When leaving the office and you’re checking out they are really the only unpleasant part of my visit. If only they weren’t there.
Dr. Colen and Dr. Godin are amazing.

Do not go to see the doctors here unless you want to be overcharged for ridiculous items like a $ 70 charge for «removal of impacted cerum» (i.e. the doctor removed some earwax). It’s doctors like this that totally screw up the health care system by overcharging patients and ordering all these tests.
