Came here for the first time today after finding it on Unilocal(was looking for an inexpensive nail salon in the area that still had good reviews). Only $ 19+tax for a Mani+pedi special(if done separately, it’s $ 26)! Everyone seemed really friendly and greeted me with smiles as soon as I walked in. All the chairs were full but I was the next one in line so I didn’t have to wait too long. My nail technician was Sushila and I ended up going with the spa pedicure special($ 35) since I normally don’t pamper myself anyway, and a manicure($ 9). Sushila was very sweet and although there was a slight communication gap, I understood her fine. She was gentle and hard working and addressed any issues I had. So glad I showed up when I had though(Saturday 2:30pm) because shortly afterwards, the salon was packed. I highly recommend this nail salon if you’re looking for a no frills place that does a good job at a good price. I’ll post an update if the paint chips but from what I see so far, I think it’ll be fine!

I’ve been here a few times they’re very cheap for Manhattan pricing mani pedi, you get what you pay for. They offer a callus remover solution for additional $ 7 and add hot towels to your feet while it’s on. Linda is a gem in this salon, she’s super sweet, she’s attentive, she actually cares if she does a good job and that you’re happy with the outcome. She also does waxing and is very detailed in that as well. Definitely ask for Linda and you won’t be disappointed!

The best. The kindest. Mary the owner is fabulous. Wonderful people, amazing price– mani/pedi only $ 19.

I’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years and believe Emma deserves a ‘best of award’ among the city’s cheap nail salons. Despite periodic visits to other places in the city(largely due to convenience) I always end up wishing I’d planned better so I could have gotten to Emma instead. 95% of the time I get a near perfect mani/pedi. Of course on occasion, I do get someone who isn’t so perfect– but it’s such an anomaly and I have complete confidence I’ll always leave with at least a «good» manicure. They have TONS of great colors and good quality brands. It’s clean, but no frills. Their long hours(open late into the evenings) make it a great option most of the time. The regular mani/pedi is $ 19– and I think you pay a buck more for the special quick dry. You can’t beat it. And if you can squeeze in a short massage while you dry, it’s $ 1/minute… worth the extra expense if you have the time for a treat.

Listen, you get what you pay for. I know that better than anyone and have been to a lot of under $ 10 manicure spots. But this is the first time my nails chipped less than one day later. Half of that time I was sleeping so that’s pretty impressive that they lasted just a few hours. People were nice. Good color selection. Convenient location. But the nails! I should get at least a few days out of ‘em!

Always have a good experience here. It has been getting busier and busier which is a great thing but sometimes you have to wait. Good color selection and everyone takes there time no matter who you get. Can’t beat the prices either. This is my go to place for the last 3 years.

Horrible. I came here many years ago consistently and had always been wonderful. Today a lady worked on my feet who seemed to barely be able to see. She struggled to get the file under my nail. She left edges sharp. She couldn’t even see the sharp edges she’d left. Then she cut a third of one of my toenails from the side(and i don’t mean shorter)! At that point i asked for someone else. Lady in charge said sorry but everyone else busy. Then went on to work on other people. I sat waiting in chair for someone to correct. Nothing. Then when another woman became available, they started seating a new client. Excuse me i said. You do realize i have been waiting. Then they placed new person with me who looked at error of other manicurist with compassionate surprise(what i originally expected). So far replacement manicurist good and assured me she d worked on nails for 4 years. I’ll write follow up when experience over.

$ 19 for manicure and pedicure. I was not sure how it would be. but they did a great job. My nails looked great and Lydia was super nice. I wish the massage was longer but for that price you cannot ask for anything else. I also got some waxing done and she checked everything properly.

Awesome nail salon and cheap! First of all ask for Linda, shes the sweetest. Saw me right away. All the pedicure chairs were taken so we started off with manicure. By mistake she cut my cuticle too much and I started bleeding a bit, to be honest I barely noticed but she apologized profusely and was more careful with rest of my nails. Another thing there was one pedicure chair that was available but wasent working properly and she asked me if I minded if I waited a bit longer(really just less than 5 min) which is awesome considering other places just would place you on the chair until you would complain. I will definitely be a regular.

Really great Mani and Spa Pedicure! The women who did my service was amazing. Best pedicure Ive had in my 6 years of living in NYC. Its a no frills kind of nail salon but they so a great job. Tons of polish options! Again the most polish options Ive seen in NYC. I now consider this place a hidden gem and goes above your standard nail salon in NYC. My feet are soft and smooth, and the best cost is the price. Affordable and and amazing job!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would! I came here the other day during the weekend and had to wait about 30 minutes(as expected). The lady who helped me was very unsanitary and was even using the utensils of the girl sitting next to me while doing my manicure(didn’t realize it until she did). At this point, I decided to tip her only 15% for doing such a sloppy/unsanitary job. When it was time to pay, I gave her my tip and she counted it in front of me and rudely told me that I needed to pay her more. WTF??? Are you really going to ask me for more money? She told me that I had to give her $ 5 more dollars. I was EXTREMELY angry and the lady continued to make a scene. I didn’t even have any more cash. Being the timid person I am, I did not argue. She even called her manager to come over and charge my card with $ 5 more dollars. She deserved the amount that I gave her and even less after this whole incident. Very disappointed in the manager as well. She must not pay her employees well.

Overall not a great experience. I walked in and was seated right away(at 4:30PM), but the woman doing my pedicure seemed disinterested and rushed. She could’ve just been having a bad day, but I definitely don’t feel like it was worth the $ 18 for a pedicure. Id recommend other salons in the area.

There are a ton of nail joints in my hood. I try other places but I usually end back up at Nail By Young, but they are closed on Sundays. As such, I stumbled across this place and was pleasantly surprised. I like my nail joints la style: cash only is okay, as is limited english. Just get that overgrown nail out of my big toe, honey! $ 20 later, tip included, mission accomplished!

I was walking around the upper west side and happily stumbled upon this place! I saw a sign that said mani/pedi $ 19 and couldn’t really believe it! I decided to check it out upstairs, upon walking in everyone was very friendly and attentive. I double checked the price on the sign and confirmed with them that they always have this deal! Great price for the area! I actually had just had shoulder surgery So my arm is in a sling… They were so concerned for me and helped me to feel very comfortable during my time there. The mani/pedi was about 45 minutes(+ dry time), nothing added that was overly special. The cosmetician did do a short foot and hand massage with the services. During the course of my pedicure I made sure that the cosmetician worked on an area that was really hurting me. She made sure to go over it a few times and asked me if it was feeling better by the end. I was really impressed with her service as I’ve been to numerous places where they don’t listen to any of your requests! Upon leaving I had 3 different ladies helping me get my things together since I lacked one arm! They were very sweet and helpful. I offered them each an extra tip and they refused to take it which I have never ever seen before! This spa does offer other services like threading, waxing, and massages(chair and full body).

Yesterday was my first time at this salon, and while I was definitely skeptical, I can now say I’m a huge fan !!! First of all, I live in the Upper West side, so finding a cheap mani/pedi usually involves me having to travel to LES, and we all know that is a hassle. Not anymore!!! This place is in a GREATAREA and you also get a decent Mani/Pedi for CHEAP! 20 bucks!!! Unbeatable. Sometimes you get what you pay for but not at this place. I came in and everything was surprisingly clean with wonderful massage chairs. They sat me right away and a wonderful woman whose name I believe is Shebah began to work on me. She did a wonderful job!!! This is definitely not a spa Mani/Pedi, its quick and to the point. They have everything you need and everyone there was extremely warm and welcoming. This is my new weekly Manicure joint.

Only giving it one start because I can’t give it any less. I just tried this place for the first time and ran out crying. I have been threading for years and when she first started It hurt more than usual And she was so slow it was like pulling one hair at a time. I asked her to go faster which only made it worse and she claimed it hurt because«I’m not used to it.» I got up and told her, «no, I’ve been doing this for years, what YOURE doing is just wrong.» This will teach me never to try somewhere new.
