Made a reservation through Trip Advisor two months in advance and sent required payment. Over a month later receive a message saying the reservation was being cancelled and the comment «no longer available». I called the company to find out the reason and was told by a very rude person that they would rent it to someone else. Not only they kept my money for weeks (paid with international card takes a few more weeks for the refunded to be posted to my account), but also now I have 5 international airline tickets purchased and no place to stay. Of course, last minute I can’t find anything decent. If I was to cancel the reservation I would have to pay a cancellation fee. But if they find someone to pay more, they can just cancel for no reason. Never again.
