History

Established in 1985.

After completing his education at Stanford University and the Medical College of Ohio, Dr. Schottenstein began developing his private ophthalmology practice in New York City, along with becoming an educator and dedicated author in the areas of general ophthalmology and glaucoma.

For 30 years, he has served not only his patients but students and his colleagues as an educator and mentor from his home base on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Business Owner

Dr. Schottenstein is one of New York’s top board-​certified ophthalmologists.

His training in medicine stems from Stanford and the Medical College of Ohio, along with completing a residency in ophthalmology at Hahnemann University and a fellowship, where he studied as a glaucoma subspecialist, at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

He is an educator and author, currently serving as both a Clinical Assistant Professor and Attending Ophthalmologist at New York University School of Medicine and Attending Surgeon at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He is author of numerous articles for medical journals and chapters for both ophthalmology and glaucoma text books.

He is a caring, compassionate physician and cataract surgery specialist, serving patients throughout New York City for 30 years.
