Today was a great experience with Dr. Lustig and his amazing staff in the Brooklyn office. Thank you for seeing my son at such a short notice and being so kind and professional. My 5 year old son and I left the office and he told me «mommy I really like this doctor, let’s keep him». My sons approval is all I needed. Dr. Lustig made me feel so comfortable and told me exactly what was going on with my sons vision, he was quick and very attentive to my sons needs. His staff were just as kind and caring as he is. Honestly this was such a great experience! after being seen by a previous Optomologist who did not treat my five year old as a person and who also prescribed my son medicine that was for adults only! to meet Dr. Lustig who was playful, funny and professional was such a relief.

I saw Dr. Lustig for an eye-​muscle surgery procedure. He did a fantastic job and is a very proessional, caring, and kind doctor. His main practice is for children as strabismus is mainly dealt with as a child, but he does see adult patients and is very thorough in explaining what he is/​will be doing and very responsive to questions. Samantha, his surgical coordinator, and the staff at the NYU Day Surgery Unit were fantastic.
I’ve had prior strabismus surgery when I was a child, but i was too young to remember what it was like so this was like a totally new experience for me.
I waited a month for an appointment and then another month for the next available surgery date, but those two months of waiting felt like they were worth it.
I highly recommend Dr. Lustig and am very grateful to have him as my opthamologist.

Excellent doctor! Dr. Lustig performed eye-​muscle surgery on me last month and did a fantastic job. I’ve had strabismus since I was a little kid; the surgeries I had back in the 1960s helped, but I was still having trouble — no one ever knew whether I was looking at them or not.
I can make eye contact now, & my eyes aren’t jumping around anymore.
Dr. Lustig is a pediatric ophthalmologist (the kind of specialist who usually does this kind of surgery, no matter what the age of the patient). He was patient, spent a lot of time on my exam, & explained my condition and the procedure in great detail. He, his assistants, and the staff of the NYU Day Surgery Unit could not have been kinder or more professional.
