Dr. Bartolazo is a wonderful dentist and genuinely cares about his patients. Proud to say I’ve been a patient of his for 8 years and counting! Thank you for saving me teeth! His hygienist and office is super warm, friendly and sharp as well! Thank you all!

DR. B for the Bomb! He’s great, takes really great care of my teeth, accommodates me whenenver it’s urgent, makes you feel comfortable, etc. etc. Nice mix of music every time I go here.
I think the mean receptionist is gone now. So I’m updating to a 5 star. Yah!

Visited the Doc and his staff today for the first time for my semi-​annual cleaning. So far so good. I’ll follow-​up in 6 months.

Worst Dental Experience Ever! Was so surprised to see so many good reviews. He will perform extra procedures just to bill your insurance!!!

I’m sure Dr. Bartolazo is an excellent Dentist as represented by his high marks from the Unilocal community. I made my appointment through ZocDoc (via his website), received two confirmation emails, an appointment reminder and I checked in online — however when I showed up to my appointment, I was told I was not «in their system». The receptionist was unwilling to work with me and was unapologetic to the fact that I had rearranged my schedule and trekked to the Upper West Side during the work day.
If you can get an appointment, he sounds great, otherwise, Boo.

Highly recommend. I had put off going to the dentist for years and was a nervous wreck. The hygienist was terrific. She did a great job and put me at ease. I was equally impressed by the dentist. Most dentists over the years have overwhelmed me with laundry lists of problems but I found Dr. Bartolazo to be very reasonable while still being thorough. I am very glad I went and am fully committed to staying on top of my dental health.

Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Nice person, he makes going to the dentist a lesser chore. Office is clean, conveniently located, assistant is nice and friendly. The office is absolutely state-​of-​the-​art. Never thought I would actually enjoy going to the dentist and have someone poke around in my mouth, but the office environment, the instrumentation and the professionalism exhibited were top-​notch, enough to make me accept the predicament.

I went to Dr. B’s office yesterday. I had two bad experiences as a teen, and hadn’t gone to the dentist in over 10 years. I admitted that I was freaked out and was immediately handled with care. Dr. B and his team are phenomenal!!!
The hygienist was informative, patient, gentle and made me feel at ease. After my cleaned my teeth, Dr. B came in and we just… talked. Like old friends. We shared some laughs and it was really a superb experience. I’d recommend them to anyone. Especially «chickens» like me who are petrified of dentist. :-)

Dr. B is AWESOME!!! He gets you in and out as quick as possible while making sure to check in and clearly explain what he’s doing every step of the way, and he spends enough time to answer all of your questions. I used to hate going to the dentist but I now look forward to it!

I had a very bad experience with another dentist, so I came to Dr. Bartolazo for a second opinion. He’s very easy to talk to, answers questions, and is reasonable. He made me feel comfortable. Give this place a try. (He also takes the Cigna dental discount plan.)

I highly recommend Dr. Bartolazo. Great office. Great staff. Great dental care. Accommodating schedule. You can’t go wrong going to him!

Never had an issue until few minutes ago when they wanted to charge me $ 46 dollars to reschedule an appointment. This is AFTER they cancelled on me a month ago. I set an appointment, when they called me back they had no record of the appointment, AND I SPOKE WITH THE SAME PERSON!!! BTW, I tried to reschedule 24 hours in advance of said appointment. With all the options for dentists, that is horse-sh*t. No way I’m paying $ 46.
Other then that, the Doc is great, assistants great, office nice, clean, and cutting edge. Guy never gave me too much sh*t for not flossing everyday, which was nice. UNFORTUNATELY, I’m not going there anymore. Will have to find a new guy. Sux.

Going to the dentist is one of the things I try to avoid at all costs. I am probably one of the worst gaggers and I don’t do well in the dentist chair; however after experiencing a toothache, I knew it was inevitable that I pay a visit. After doing some research and reading all the great reviews on Dr. Bartolazo, I naturally selected him. I am so glad that I did. As soon as I sat down in the dentist chair, he made me feel extremely comfortable after telling him about my apprehension with dentists. He was very patient with me as my tongue kept fighting his x-​ray tools, given my gag reflexes. If you are like me and nervous about going to the dentist, you are in good hands with Dr. Bartolazo. I plan to get some other work done now that I have found someone who I can trust and makes you feel comfortable.

It is soooo hard to find a good dentist and I’ve seen some pretty terrible ones in NYC. I am so grateful I stumbled upon Dr. Bartolazo’s office a few years ago. I actually look forward to dentist appointments rather than dreading them. It’s a small office which is nice because it seems more personal. He used to do all of the cleaning himself which was awesome but he recently hired a hygeniest Edna (also great) who does the cleaning now. Dr. B is very friendly and I love chatting with him about college football and vacations!

Sadly I moved away from Dr. Bartolazo or else he would still be my dentist. He has a great (newer) location and its clean and tidy. The doc does all of your cleaning work himself… he’s so relaxed that you will be relaxed too. He was recommended to me by lots of my coworkers and they were right. I HIGHLY recommend him!

Solid. Didn’t spend a ton of time with him, but friendly, informative, good conversationalist, and painless service. What else could you ask for? The hygienest, however. .. she was outstanding. Didn’t get her name, but I couldn’t recommend her any higher. Definitely found my new dentist. Thank you, Unilocal

BEST DENTIST… EVA! Like everyone on the planet, I dread going for my annual visit, so usually make it every 3 years, but Dr. B makes it almost pleasant to go. He’s super nice, really relaxed, and you don’t feel like he’s trying to sell you rust-​proofing or something you don’t need on your teeth.
Rates are totally reasonable, and if you have Metlife like me, everything was covered.
I’m rarely evangelical about docs/​dentists, but this guy is the best!

I have been going to Dr. B for years and he’s definitely the best there out there. I used to hate going to the dentist, but he has a light touch and a calming manner, and he’ll clean your teeth and fill your cavities without you evening knowing it!
Just sit back and enjoy the slide show of photos from his international travels and the sounds of the best dental office music mix around!

Dr B! …is great! I have been a little apprehensive of dentists, but when friends recommended him I thought I didn’t have too much to lose. Thankfully it was and has been a great experience. His office is new, clean, calm and friendly. Dr. B is relaxed, confident, trust worthy and friendly.
He has a nice flat screen in the room with your chair and it’s usually showing some great scenes from tropical islands many of which are from his vacations. Let’s not forget the calming music. Nice!
We always have fun talking tech. He’s up on iPhones, fun apps, flat screens and digital cameras. It’s just tough to reply when he’s got that machine stuck in your mouth. He’s also a dad and is always happy to show you pix of his family.
If you don’t love your dentist, then you should definitely give Dr. Bartolazo a try. Oh and he attends Redeemer Pres too! A plus for us!
He takes MetLife and a form of Cigna. He’ll work with you, so just let him know your concerns, if you have any.
Now, he’s on the Westside in Columbus circle, but if you are looking for a great dentist on the East side near 61^st and Lex try Dr. B’s colleague Toula Mylonakis DMD (see my 5 star review for her too). I recently saw for her an emergency appointment and she was so great too! Two great dentists in NYC? I know, I know hard to believe. The dentist we were going to treated us more like cattle then patients. I hope you are not going to a place like that.
If you didn’t think great customer service can be had by dentists in NYC, then you need to visit one of these two.
