Drs. Curatola & Zagami are a husband & wife dental team, providing services to all ages in the Columbus Circle area. Dr. Zagami is a specialist in Prosthodontics, while Dr. Curatola is a general dentist.

Business Owner

A life-​long passion for dentistry has been the driving force in Dr. Zagami’s pursuit of dental excellence. He holds a Bachelors of Science at Wagner College, a Doctorate of Dental Science from NYU College of Dentistry, served residency at Lutheran Medical Center, and earned a specialty Certificate from NYU College of Dentistry in Prosthodontics. Dr. Zagami is well versed in all leading-​edge technologies and treatments in cosmetic, preventative and restorative dentistry. Recognizing the importance the arts play in this community, he and Dr. Curatola developed «The Performing Arts Program» in order to serve the unique needs of artist and performers. As a devoted husband and father of 3 girls, Dr. Zagami brings strong family values into his practice. His commitment to compassionate, gentle care is long-​standing and sincere. He has assembled a team whose goal is to make sure your dental experience is a pleasurable one.

After years of not having my dental health in order, ever since going here, I get my teeth cleaning on a regular basis, I love the implants and I have learned a lot from the Dentists about how important is my dental health. They have become family.

I had my teeth whitened here prior to my wedding in 2011. I was warned that there may be a bit of sensitivity afterward, that can be relieved with tylenol/​advil. What I did not expect was to be crippled with gum/​tooth pain that day (bought ambasol, which relieved some of the pain), and to be stuck with sensitive teeth since then (it’s now been 2.5 years). I rely on sensodyne to keep myself able to eat hots, colds, and sweets without pain. This was never an issue for me prior to teeth whitening. Of note, I have a pretty high pain tolerance and have perfectly healthy teeth which I take good care of.
This says nothing of their dental abilities — they are likely great dentists. Nor does it say anything about the way they whiten– I had good whitening results. It only speaks of the need for the staff to warn patients that sensitivity can be a long-​term outcome of this procedure, and to consider lowering the whitening «dose» if you are worried about it. It’s not clear who will have an outcome like mine (temporary whiteness, permanent sensitivity) and who will get away with just white teeth, so heads up – with all whitening procedures.

The team here is very kind, though the dentists can be a little chatty, which is tricky when you’ve sneaked out of work and need to get back quickly.
I ultimately chose to leave these dentists because they would do x-​rays or other things that were not covered by my insurance without telling me the cost would be out of pocket. I did not feel that I could fully trust them to keep me informed about what was happening, and ended up having to pay out of pocket for x-​rays. I would recommend choosing a dentist with more transparency on cost and billing.

After going to Dr. Curatola for Dash Whitening, I am more than pleased with the results. The treatment itself was not painful and did not take as much time as I thought it would. I got to listen to my music, and watch a movie and I was comfortable the whole time. Everyone in the office is really nice. My teeth are sparkly white, and I am happy!

I was absolutely impressed with their professionalism as the Doctors and staff are all very genuine and compassionate. You do not get the «sterile dental» feeling while there either, you are offered coffee, tea and a warm smile.

A convenient location for me as well since I work in the Time Warner building across the street, it is within close proximity to all trains which is also a HUGE plus!

Awesome dentists!
I hate needles and drills and all that but they were super! I had a ton of dental work done, including 2 crowns and several fillings redone. All the work is perfect!
I also got a teeth whitening treatment for a great price too!
I have been to several dentists in nyc and elsewhere. I can honestly say they are the best!
