poor customer service — once they have your money. Good luck. Overpriced, rude, incompetent. DO NOT SHOP HERE unless you are willing to have a horrible experience. Too many other jrpewelers that treat their customers well. Deal g with Diamond Scene created unnecessary stress and cost. No joke.

So, we were taking a walk through midtown Manhattan on our vacation, when Mrs. B decided that she wanted to see the diamond district. I, being very wizened over years of business travel to the Big Apple, naively escorted her to the district. I thought that she would be SO impressed that I knew where it is.
Big boo-​boo: she was eager to spend our children’s inheritance, as well as the last few pennies of our savings. And here is our story…
With me in tow, she decided to visit a few stores and do some harmless trolling for diamond studded earrings. OK, that’s not so bad: she’s just like a sport angler, she will simply fish and release the caught prey back in the water after she lands them. No harm, right?
Well, she did exactly that for the first three or four shops. She looked around, asked the salespeople to show her a few samples, and then left. A-​OK!
I, the inveterate cheapskate, kept my distance, hoping and praying that this was all she intended to do. I even promised her a gourmet meal at Burger King or McDonalds if we could leave the area before they separate her from her money.
Then, we enter Diamond Scene as part of our «sport,» when she falls in love with some nice looking stud diamond earrings in the store. The salespeople were very helpful in showing and explaining the stones to her and, within the space of ten minutes, she decides she wants to buy them.
Now, I am a very careful shopper, but I admit that I was not prepared for this eventuality. So, I decide to help her haggle with the staff b/​c I do know that the «list» price of most diamonds is about twice of the real price. So, I prattle some technobabble about the three C’s, the GIA, etc. to demonstrate my knowledge of gems. Their staff was very kind and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.
Before I was able to further establish my precious gems credibility talking about the CIA, AIG, and IGA, we were able to knock off quite a bit from the asking price, and we were able to ask them to ship the gems to our out-​of-​state home to avoid the NY sales tax.
In fact, I have nothing but admiration for the people at Diamond Scene. The quality and price of their goods seem to be top-​notch.
So now, Mrs. B jaunts around our cozy Midwestern town sporting her new diamond earrings (which nobody can differentiate from cubic zirconium ones), and feels very proud that she is now the proud owner of something that is bright and shiny.
My kids have decided that after she dies, they will cut off the earrings from her earlobes and cash the proceeds in for necessities, like their own jewels.

My fiancé and I went to go pick out our wedding rings a few weeks ago, and were planning on going somewhere else for our rings, but ended up buying here because of the genuine care that Ellie and her family gave to us.
We started out at their new location, 44 west 47^th to look for my ring, and then went over to 9 west 47^th to get my fiancé’s ring. Ellie and her family made sure we were comfortable through the whole process. They really are lovely, honest people. I told my sister to go get her wedding band here too! We felt really good after we left and can’t wait to get our rings!!!

My husband and I recently bought an anniversary ring from Diamond Scene. The ring is stunning and everything I wished for thanks to the amazing customer service received by this family run business. Together the father, the genius behind mounting and completing my ring to perfection, the son who found me the perfect, excellent yellow diamond stone and mom, the glue that bonds this family together and who worked with me to help me to get the results I was looking for. You do not need to shop around because Diamond Scene is the complete package. They listened, they cared and they put their love in what they sell. I am so grateful to have found them. They made my weekend in New York so much better and more!!!

This review is long overdue! I was just staring at my beautiful ring and realized I never gave thanks to Diamond Scene. Well here it goes…
My boyfriend at the time and I were visiting NYC when we decided to go ring shopping. We walked into a bunch of the stores on 47^th St. but nothing compared to Diamond Scene. The vibe was not at all intimidating, which it can be when looking for an engagement ring. I was in awe with the amount of beautiful designs they had to offer and the quality of the stones they had. They were extremely helpful and patient with us. My (now) fiancé and I couldn’t have been happier with their warm professionalism and great prices. It also meant a lot to us that they are a family owned company. The owners truly couldn’t have been more pleasant.
Next time we are in NYC we are definitely making a stop at Diamond Scene!

I heard about Diamond Scene from a number of close friends who had all purchased their engagement rings and wedding bands from this family run business. I had to see for myself what all the hype was about. Diamond Scene is located in New York’s diamond district where there are countless diamond/​jewelry dealers on one street in midtown Manhattan. It was important for me to choose a place I could trust and get a great deal from. After being recommended and reading reviews online, I shopped the diamond district and made Diamond Scene my last stop. I was extremely impressed with the customer service and selection of diamonds and diamond jewelry. The diamond scene family took great care of me and gave me an excellent deal. They were a blast to work with! One tip is that you can always call ahead if there is something specific you are looking for before you make the trip to their store. I would highly recommend this business to anyone shopping for diamond jewelry, engagement rings and wedding bands. Thank you sooooooooo much!

My fiancé got my engagement ring from here and he told me how helpful the owner and his wife were in not only getting him a great price but also educating him on diamonds. Their customer service is top notch and you can be sure that you are getting your money’s worth. There are many stores around this area and my fiancé went to all of them but nothing compared to how happy he was with the service, the product and the price of Diamond Scene.
We went back there to get my wedding rings this past weekend and I saw for myself what my fiancé was raving about. They also custom make jewelry if you have something in mind. My custom engagement ring turned out exactly how I pictured it!

I shopped around extensively for an engagement ring, both in retail shops and from select wholesalers. I was very happy with the price & quality I got from them, and have recommended a few friends who were also very satisfied. Moen, Ellie & family are good poeople.
