We went to Kamni to design our engagement ring and it was by far the best decision we made! She is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and goes to incredible lengths to make the design process as easy as possible.
She invited us to her office right in the center of NYC’s diamond district for our first consultation. What impressed me most about the meeting was how natural our conversation felt. She made it feel as if we were talking to a friend about how we first met, what we like about each other, budget requirements, etc. I knew going in what cut we wanted so she had a couple samples for us to try on to get a feel of other elements of the ring we were unsure about. She took amazing notes of what I liked during this consultation and worked with my boyfriend to get the perfect ring designed! We needed something fixed with the ring after our engagement and she was very quick in making sure things were fixed, no questions asked!

My experience with Designs By Kamni significantly exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, Kamni was extremely attentive and took care of every single detail that I mentioned to her. One of the biggest challenges when shopping for an engagement ring is that you’ll often find gemologists trying to sell you very generic and standard designs.
Kamni is the exact opposite of that. She oversees every step of the process which goes from creating computer-​generated images of the ring, to printing the prototype in wax, then casting it in metal and finally setting the center stone. Her process is very meticulous and it’s apparent that she cares very much about her business as she constantly made herself available to answer questions and to meet in person.
I highly recommend Designs By Kamni. Looking back I realize that working with her was the best decision I made in my search for an engagement ring.

I’d been stalking the DBK page for a while and pretty much knew what I wanted. I’m a very practical woman and definitely do my research before committing to anything. My fiancé left the research up to me and I stalked Kamni on review pages and so many people had so many nice things to say that she was the first jeweler on our list.
First off, the International Gem Tower where her office is is truly impressive! We went up to her office and were greeted, sat down and Kamni asked us if we’[d like some water or anything and I blurted out «do you have any gum?!». They both looked at me and started laughing and did not have gum but offered us champagne. I’ll never say no to a glass of bubbly.
Kamni had all of the specs I’d given her via my inquiry as well as some stones she’d handpicked prior to our arrival. The process was really fun as each diamond was presented with GIA certs. I’m not sure what you call the claw like pointer thingie but we were able to see the diamonds up close, in light, by my hands, out of the light, etc. All of the stones were within our budget and I wanted this diamond to be in our family forever so why not opt for the best? Quality over quantity, I always say.
The 2^nd to last diamond was a near final choice then Kamni brought out a little sparkly gem that she had to the side since it was similar in size and even bare bones without a setting, I fell in love with it. I placed it near my ring finger and it was the perfect size… we found my diamond! We looked at some settings and I told Kamni what I wanted and showed her some photos and by the following Monday, I had computer generated images of my future engagement ring.
Let me also say that my fiances bonus was a little delayed but Kamni worked with him to secure my diamond. We were able to work everything out the following week… we didn’t even bother to visit any other jewelers.
Back to the bling… I gave the go ahead and a few weeks later, my ring was done. The waiting process was the hardest for me because I’m a very impatient woman and there was one design hiccup that came up since my ring was being handmade under a microscope. I was worried but my fiancé and Kamni communicated throughout and a few days later, the ring was actually done and Jax couldn’t even wait for the plan to go down. He surprised me the same day and even though I designed the ring and was involved in the process and never even wanted a ring, it was the most special moment in my life to see my GORGEOUS ring and the man I love asking me to be his forever. Obvi, I said yes!
Right away, I sent Kamni a text saying thank you and a photo of my ring and since then I have not been able to stop staring at my ring. If anyone even mentions engagement, I tag them on Kamni’s photos so they can see her work and hopefully go to her. It was a pleasure working with Kamni and since we are having a very short engagement, she also made my wedding band and a replica ring (for travel) all within my budget just for the engagement ring!
Definitely go to Kamni for your ring for a modern perspective on style and sophistication. We looked at pricing on diamonds similar to mine (1.52, F color, good, round brilliant) and her price was very competitive as she gave us wholesale pricing. We were educated and met our jeweler for life. She’s also a very nice easygoing person to deal with so that makes the whole experience nicer. We will be sending her wedding photos of the rings and an announcement, love her!

Working with Kamni was an amazing experience. We met with 5 other jewelers in the diamond district and Kamni was by far the most professional, you could tell she wasn’t just trying to make a sale. She designed an engagement ring that is exactly what I wanted and found stones that weren’t in NYC to show us so we had several to choose from. She also kept me in the loop throughout the process, was very quick responding to emails and worked within our budget. I’m so obsessed with my ring, I can’t stop staring at it! She designed my wedding band too and I absolutely love it, I can’t wait until we’re married so I can put it on! My best girlfriends love my ring and their boyfriends already know her contact info for when the time comes, I fully recommend her for all jewelry needs.

We found Kamni from her posts on Facebook/​Instagram and instantly feel in love with her beautiful custom designs. Being out of state, we were hesitant to go through this process online at first, but Kamni was a thorough professional through all of it. She sent us videos and pictures of the diamond when we couldn’t see it in person also allowed my close by family to come take a peek at it. Her prices were very very competitive with everything we found online and actually cheaper that what we were seeing on
which was a huge surprise. Ultimately we decided to go with Kamni’s designs since she was always available and very enthusiastic in making this the most perfect ring. I would chose Kamni’s work again any day for her quality of work and the personalized service she provides.

Kamni was absolutely wonderful to work with from day one. She was very patient waiting for me to get my budget in order before I came to see her, and exchanged many informative emails along the way (many, many months before). Once I finally met with her, she spent an entire 2 ½ hours educating me on the 4 C’s and discussing design ideas for my soon to be fiancé’s ring. Once she had clear direction, it took her little time to send me two design ideas, and she nailed it! We only made a few small tweaks and then the ring went right into production. My fiancé loves her ring, and Kamni made the process so easy. She was true to her original quote, stayed within my budget, and gave great direction along the way. I’d recommend her to anyone looking for a great jewelry experience.

Kamni is amazing at what she does. She is truly passionate about her job and really cares about what her clients want. When we were shopping for engagement rings we were very new to the process. Before selling us anything, she educated us. She taught us about what people look for in diamonds and to figure out what was important to us. I really appreciated her teaching us about the 4 C’s and helping us get familiar with the different type of diamonds out there. Design by Kamni is a one of the best professional diamond organizations out there. It truly works with you on your diamond needs. They even share sound advice for whatever you ask. In particular, Kamni worked around my schedule and gave me all the resources before my purchase. When I purchased my ring, she gave me numerous options pertaining to cut, clarity and color. She educated me on ring specifics along with giving me a variety of options. She worked me throughout the whole process and understands the customer’s needs. At the end she produced a flawless diamond ring that my girlfriend loved. I recommend her to everyone! She’s the real deal!

Have you ever left a comment on Instagram, requesting more information about a product you really like, and wonder if that person will ever get back to you? Well that’s how it started for me. I’d been following Designs by Kamni (DBK) for several weeks, and when my fiancé asked me what kind of setting I’d want for my engagement ring and wedding band, I showed him a picture from Kamni’s Instagram. I left a comment on that specific picture, requesting additional information. I honestly didn’t think I’d hear back from anyone. Boy was I wrong! Within minutes, the DBK team responded to my comment, and emailed me to get a better understanding of what I was looking for. After several emails, I had my phone consultation with Kamni. I was beyond ecstatic to finally talk to someone who knew exactly what I was looking for. (A previous jeweler I had talked to, was stubborn and preferred I picked a setting only from the book he had available). She answered all my questions in great detail, and made several recommendations without pressuring me. She then spoke with my fiancé to see exactly what he wanted for his wedding band. It was a unique request that Kamni had never attempted before. But she was up to the challenge, and we both put our faith in her to deliver. She kept us in the loop throughout the process. To say we are happy with our rings is a complete understatement! We are both soooooooooo happy and excited about our rings, that we both want to start wearing our rings now (we’re not getting married til June)!!! Kamni was truly a professional that went above and beyond for us. This didn’t feel like a business arrangement. Kamni designed a lovely engagement ring for me. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, Kamni and Gaurav educated me on ring designs and diamonds. They were able to provide me with a variety of options and made the process very simple. The ring came out better than I expected. Anyone looking for a new piece of jewelry should go through Designs by Kamini first.

After doing months of research and building my diamond knowledge, I purchased from (what I consider) one of the best vendors available (James Allen). I didn’t think a better deal could be found, given that the online retailers have less overhead and James Allen is one of the best among them. I also had no desire to go through the diamond district, which makes me feel like I am in a third world country with vendors desperately trying to sell everything and anything, including their children if you pay the 2000% inflated sticker price.
Fortunately though, I came across Kamni, who was not only able to beat the JA price, but also gave me more options that I could see in person, which made all the difference in the world. Especially when it came to setting the diamond; having the flexibility to change around the details on the ring and customize it to the way you want made a huge difference. So in the end, I returned the JA ring (sorry James, you’re still my favorite online vendor) and went with the one Kamni created, getting a bigger rock, a much preferable setting, within the same price range.

Kamni, herself is extremely personable and easy to work with! She helped my husband and I select the perfect engagement ring I have been dreaming of for a very long time. Coming from a background in jewelry myself, I had very high expectations of what my ring was going to be like. Kamni exceeded all of them! I work in a very high end jewelry store with customers who are very use to a luxury product… not a day goes by that I don’t get complimented on my ring which makes this girl very happy!
