Designway came to life more than 40 years ago and quickly became one of the most important custom workrooms serving the NYC design community. Interior designers and decorators knew then, as they do now, that Designway was the place to go when their clients had specific requests for unique window treatments, custom designed furniture and upholstery, and other customized fabrications.

Business Owner

Designway owner Seborn Ragsdale is a detail-​oriented interior design professional with over two decades in the interior design and home furnishings industry. The Franklin Report states that Ragsdale is known for «his love of color, energetic scale and classically traditional lines» and that there is «a new energy that is transmitted through his work». Mr. Ragsdale has worked on interiors for clients such as Calvin Klein and Lee Jofa, and worked with Thomas Jayne, among others, before inheriting Designway from Joan Morgan.
