Very poor bedside manner. Also, did a nasal endoscopy unnecessarily as I had already presented to him a CT scan of the sinuses.

1^st-​time patient in September. Checked myself in with an ipad-​like device and waited 75 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be called by the nurse. Nurse took my blood pressure and some history. Waited for the doctor for more time. Godin came in and did a very brief exam before suggesting I make an additional appointment. The bill for maybe 10 minutes of his time was very high because the nose scope is billed as surgery (penetrates a body cavity). I had a complicated case that needed attention but he didn’t have time for it. I’m also a professional — it’s offensive to use my time like that and bill full fare.

Dr Godin is everything a doctor should be — he listens, he questions and he resolves! I wish all the doctors were like him.

I would highly recommend ENT & Allergy Associates. I made an appointment with Dr. Godin, based on the excellent reviews that I read. He turned out to be exactly what I was hoping for. Dr. Godin was friendly, helpful, and informative. I was also very pleased with the nurse assigned to me and the staff member that assisted me during the hearing tests. If you’re looking for an ENT doctor that will give you reassurance/​clarification in regards to your symptoms, as well as an enjoyable visit, then Dr. Godin is your guy. Seems like this is a recurring pattern and perhaps one that should be reported. Not only was I given a test I did not ask for, and was not asked if I wanted to have, but then was billed astronomically for it. I have not gotten any call backs from their office, and their billing office treated me like a criminal. If this is something you have encountered with this office, speak up. In numbers maybe others canbe protected!

Dr Godin is the type of Doctor you want to see. He has a no fuss straight to the point positive attitude. No matter what questions i had, he answered them. He made me feel comfortable and safe and was a pleasure to deal with. I had no issues scheduling an appointment and the staff at ENT are fantastic, friendly, happy and polite. I would definitely recommend Dr. Godin to anyone looking for a great ENT!

I was in need for an ENT in NYC and Dr. Godin at ENT & Allergy Associates came highly recommended to me. I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours. The staff was great and they even sent me the new patient paper work via email, before my appointment, so I could fill it out online in advance.
I arrived on time and the front desk staff was great. I didn’t wait for more than 10 minutes and they took me to the back. I first saw the nurse, who verified all the information I had entered the night before. Doctor Godin arrived very soon after. He was so nice, welcoming, friendly and approachable. He took the time to speak with me and really listen to what was going on. I needed to get a hearing exam too and it’s great that the office is fully equipped for any test you may need. I had the test right away and then went back to see Dr. Godin. He went over and explained my results and then discussed potential options.
Overall, this was a great experience, a wonderful office staff and a friendly, knowledgeable and approachable doctor. I hope I don’t need to go to the doctor anytime soon but if I do, I’ll be going back to Dr. Godin without a doubt.

I went in to see Dr. Godin regarding some abnormal discomfort in my throat and was both shocked and impressed by the diagnosis I received. It turns out that my coughing was a product of something completely unrelated that Dr. Godin was able to identify through carefully listening to my description of my symptoms and working through them with me.
To this day, I’ve never felt better and I truly have Dr. Godin to thank for that!

I generally do not post reviews because it’s often hard to discern the truly helpful ones from the subjective, «I think this is the best thing EVER!!!”-type posts.
In this case, however, I felt strongly enough to do it because Dr. Godin is a fantastic doctor who deserves to stand out in Manhattan’s über-​competitive and crowded healthcare market. He has treated me since 2003 and was the first to diagnose my condition after I had suffered for more than 7 years before. After an exhaustive consultative process, he subsequently operated on my sinuses the year after with such a steady hand that other doctors I saw years later complimented the quality of his work. Since then, I have continued to be impressed with his knowledge in the field of otolaryngology, his exceptional bedside manner, ability to «work with a patient» (something few doctors are willing to do, and speak at instead to you), and overall approach to medicine. We’re now at a point where I can always bring in new medical journal articles on topics relevant to my condition and we discuss them openly and with an eye towards a potential new course of treatment.
I will also echo what another reviewer posted in terms of his incredibly accomodative response to emergencies, where he and his staff will always squeeze you in. I’d also like to offer the same glowing review for Jackie, his nurse, who does a great job supporting him and attending to patients in a professional and friendly manner.
I would not be a patient of ENT & Allergy were it not for him, and I would not switch to another doctor. It’s that simple.

Doctor Godin has treated me and both my parents for a variety of ENT issues. He is thorough, listens carefully, and has a professional bed side manner — always. My fathers English is broken and he is beyond patient with him.
When an emergency strikes he does his best to squeeze me in. The nurse was also very professional and thorough. I recommend them to everyone!

Wow, I’m so shocked at the bad reviews, I wanted to take a moment and tell you how much I love Dr Godin! I started seeing him when he had an office in Soho, I followed him to his next office, and now I think he’s at this location, so I haven’t been in a few years. I saw these reviews when I finally decided to make an appt with another ENT closer to me and am really struggling with the decision bc I want to go and see Dr Godin. Dr Godin has biopsied and removed lymph nodes from my neck. He has taken care of my deviated septum — I’m kind of mad he didn’t give me a cute nose in the process — but he’s such a good doc he is focused on the issue. He is always professional, always friendly, and I never had a problem getting in to see him quickly. The office staff has fluctuated between good and so-​so over time, but he is always very engaged. When there were problems, he always took the time to talk to the staff and resolve any issues. I miss having him as my go-​to sinus problem doctor. Going to try Dr Glaser at the Hoboken ENT Allergy office today… I’m hoping he’s even half as good as Dr Godin. And if Dr Godin or his staff is reading this, tell him I said hi!

I snore… wife hates it and I didn’t even know I did it.
I went to Dr. Godin and he got me a sleep study that I took at home. He was understanding, capable and had a great understanding for my snoring and how to fix it.
He did fix the snoring thru a simple procedure. Now my wife is happier and I can sleep in the bedroom again. Doctor Godin was one of the best doctors I have ever seen. 5 stars.

Not only did Dr Godin not want to listen to my symptoms and concerns, but he wouldn’t answer my questions or give me a general prognosis of what he believed what the underlying cause of my «sleep apnea.» He painfully inserted a scope into my sinuses (which, when I got a second opinion later, was told that the reason it was so painful was because my sinuses were too small to handle the scope and damage could have been caused) and decided I needed a sleep study for my breathing issues — when I couldn’t breathe when I was AWAKE. I’m sure he got a kick-​back from the sleep clinic.
After that I was sent home with someone elses chart, when I called to rectify it, I received a chart with MY information and someone ELSE’s diagnosis. It took THREE attempts for me to get MY OWN information — talk about disorganization. When he called me personally to apologize I tried to speak to him again about my concern with breathing complications not just during my sleep. He rudely dismissed me telling me that he couldn’t tell me anything until after the sleep study.
Not only was he a total jerk, but after I received a second opinion I was told the problem was the construction of my nose — NOT apnea. I cancelled my sleep study and will not be returning. Get over yourself, Godin.

Great facilities and care. Doctor Godin took the time to understand my problem and came up with a thoughtful course of action. Facilities are great… will bring my kids here going forward. Staff was attentive and helpful. Past comments gave me pause but I’d rather see a doctor who takes the time to explain and walk one through a mutual thought process than one that hurries through to see the next patient.

Dr. Godin was thorough, funny and awesome! Office is in a great location. It was so easy to book my apppointment on Zocdoc. My ACid reflux and hoarseness have improved so much already.

I am honestly shocked about the negative reviews for this doctor. Dr. Godin is my 3 year old son’s ENT and performed ear tube surgery and adenoid removal in June of this year and I could not be happier with the entire process.
Calling in for each appointment, the staff was friendly and polite and didn’t get annoyed with my asking of what apt times were available on what days.
First exam — we were late (coming in from Long Island) so I called in beforehand and I was able to move his appointment up — we waited maybe 30 minutes in the waiting room, complete with TV & toys — not unheard of for a doctor’s office if you ask me. The front desk woman was efficient, I can see how overly-​sensitive people would say she was rude, but she most certainly was not. Dr. G was super friendly with my son, helped me minimize the scariness & showed me how to hold my son to make the uncomfortable parts as quick as possible.
Most importantly — This guy’s hands are the STEADIEST hands I have ever seen in my entire life. I mean this, when I saw him sticking the camera up my son’s nose (ugh) and he was struggling, I was so surprised by how really steady & careful & sensitive to his movement Dr. G was — no shaking at all whatsoever. I knew from that very second that I wanted him to perform the surgery.
He explained every detail about the relevant parts of the ear and throat, including pictures & models. A word to the negative reviewers who say doctors don’t explain things — ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU DONT GET SOMETHING — he answered every one of mine.

Surgery — the coordinator was incredible, called me back every time I called with a million neurotic-​mom questions, worked with me to make sure I knew whether my insurance covered each aspect of the surgery and recovery so I was prepared. The hospital Beth Israel was so awesome but I wont get into that. In recovery my son wouldn’t drink anything, which he needed to do in order to be discharged — Dr. G came in a bunch of times between his surgeries & paperwork to keep checking on him.
I really do not get the negative reviews I am reading about the wait, especially the complaints from grown ups, I was in there three times with my TWO SMALL CHILDREN and it was totally manageable. It’s a doctor’s office. Emergencies come up, children are difficult (he sees A LOT of them), adults are obviously difficult.
Sounds like quite a few people on Unilocal don’t understand their insurance policies or copays and are blaming it on the doctors. Read the paperwork.

Last month I went to Dr. Godin to check my sinuses. I am plagued by severe sneezing and allergy for some time now and already tried several other doctors.
The reception was very courteous and I was getting my appointment quickly and fitting my schedule.
Dr Godin was very friendly, knowledgeable and really took the time to examine me. I felt being in outstanding care.
Now, a month after the visit, I can definitely say that the prescriptions work and my symptoms got much much better.
Overall, I was very pleased with my visit and the results are as good as they can get. I would highly recommend Dr Godin.

After reading some of the negative reviews, I honestly don’t know what these people are talking about. Dr. Godin is one of the best doctors I’ve ever seen. I refer everyone I know to him.
I first came to him when I was having serious symptoms of labyrinthitis which he diagnosed and lasted for about six months. I was completely miserable during this time and Dr. Godin was sympathetic, detail oriented, extremely bright, took the time with me I needed and had an amazing sense of humor to keep me smiling (which was hard to do at the time, trust me). His staff was efficient, polite, sweet and always helpful. I don’t think I ever waited more than 10 minutes to see him.
Shortly after the labyrinthitis resolved itself, I saw him again because my septum was deviated in two places and I had failed turbinates. (Prior to the labyrinthitis, I had had several consults for this surgery and couldn’t stand any of the doctors I saw. Some of them were literally insulting.) I didn’t remember the last time I could breathe. I decided to have the turboplasty and septoplasty along with a rhinoplasty (Godin referred me to a separate cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Horn, who is also a spectacular doctor.) I am a total type-​a control freak with a million questions and he took his time with me to answer every crazy question I had.
His surgery coordinator was fantastic and on top of it. Both Dr. Godin and Dr. Horn had to be available at the same time to do the surgeries consecutively. The surgery went fantastically. Actually walked to his office the next day (about a mile) and it was the only day I wasn’t feeling great. Rest of the recovery felt like a bad cold. Both Dr. Godin and Horn had an incredible bedside manner and both personally called me (Horn was actually called me while she was on vacation) to check up on me for the first several days to make sure I was okay. Since the surgery, I am so pleased with the results. The only thing I regret is not doing it sooner. I can smell EVERYTHING now and could not be more pleased with him or the surgery.

I also would give Dr. Godin negative stars if I could. I waited for nearly an hour for my appointment, and when he finally got to the exam room — Dr Godin breezed in and scolded me for being upset about it. This guy is self aggrandizing, dismissive and not at all detail oriented.
After a quick exam and literally two questions about my medicial history, he wrote me a prespription for an MRI. People at Starbucks ask more questions about coffee than Dr Godin will about your ENT issues.
Dr. Godin is slap dash to say the least, he is NOT helpful.

If you value your time, stay away. I sat in the office for over an hour. After I was told there were two patients ahead of me and it would be another 20 minutes, I left.
I even called to say I would be a few minutes late — as a courtesy I should have been told the Doctor was running behind.
Doctor’s who don’t care or value their patient’s time probably don’t care about their well being either.
