Dr. Colligan has plenty of appointments available open. For a reason! She is a horrible doctor. I had an appointment for a physical exam at 11:30. I did not see her until 12:30.
As I waited to see Dr. Colligan, I heard all the details of the prior patient’s entire medical history because Dr. Colligan left the door open.
Her office stunk of cat urine because of her two large cats roam free in her office. She even picked up a cat and played with her during my appointment! Because Dr. Colligan runs her practice herself with no support staff, I had to ask her a billing question. I asked her whether my insurance would cover X-​ray costs for a TB test when there were other less expensive tests available. She flipped out on me! She snapped impatiently, «Why are you asking me this? I don’t work for the insurance company, I’m just their slave. Where do you get your information anyways? Why are you even thinking about that?» She worked herself into a frenzied state. I was stunned. I couldn’t believe she tried to bully me out of my cost concerns! Additionally, I have never been spoken to so rudely or demeaningly from a medical doctor. She then stopped in the middle of gathering my family background and started reading her faxes. She informed me that mortgage rates have gone down. This was after I waited an hour to finally see her. I will never ever go back to this doctor. She is unstable, rude, demeaning, and disrespectful of people’s time and cost concerns.
