Club Quarters

Who takes two twin beds, pushes them together, slaps bedding on them and calls it a double… CLUB QUARTERS DOES! And to top it off, both beds were as stiff as boards. This has got the be the worst night’s sleep I’ve ever had. And I travel all over the country every year. I am so disappointed!
And, that’s not my only critic of this hotel. Dark, dank, moderately cleaned room with ripped, broken down furnishings and barely operable heater. Sadly they hotel also features customer service-​less front desk staff. This was my first and last experience with this hotel. I won’t return.

Room size: 4 stars for Manhattan
Room fixture: 1 – 2 stars depending on your fondness for sleeping in a board room.
Location: That’s your own problem. I happen to love staying in the financial district because it’s quiet and easy to get around. But I get that there’s nothing around for a nightlife.
Staff: Fine. It’s a busy place and there’s definitely no coddling.
Policies: Inflexible and a little over the top. We got charged for some weird stuff, not enough to complain about it but enough to notice.
The Club Quarters in Rockefeller is MUCH nicer. I’d booked this one because the other was sold out and maybe had too high of expectations based on the other location. But overall, I’d stay here again and it was reasonably priced (for Manhattan).

Room is too small-​feels like a walk in closet.
Bathroom feels like an airplane bathroom and needs update.
We were charged 306+ tax per night, but when we looked at the online pricing it only cost 174 per night.
AC was too loud.
The only good thing in this hotel is the restaurant the served great food.

Pretty bad hotel all around. I stayed at the nearby Holiday Inn Express the night before staying here, and that place had better service, beds, showers, and a free breakfast. Don’t stay here.

I needed a one night getaway. This hotel was EVERYTHING I needed and then some. Friendly staff, easy and early check in, and the water bottle station was a great added feature. I will be staying here again in the hear future. Can not wait. Oh and if anyone from staff maybe reading this review, if you want to give a fellow New Yorker a complimentary stay, I wouldn’t be mad. :)

The bounces of Club Quarters for me are that it’s right in the heart of Wall Street and if you are doing Business on Wall Street, it’s a great location. The staff are very friendly and very nice which is a big plus. Other than that, the elevators are not the best, it’s quite noisy when you’re trying to sleep, due to the fact that the air conditioners are extremely loud. The rooms are on the small side and they are not very clean. I also had issues with the key cards actually opening the door… Hummmm sorry Club Quarters time to step up your game.

My Husband, son and I stayed at Club Quarters for business. Our experience their was excellent. We had suite which gave my husband and I some privacy. The room had two TV’s, fridge, a microwave, desk and free WIFI.
The hotel was conveniently located by the subway station for us to get around in New York. The hotel provided chilled purified water and a complimentary guest closet if you needed anything that was not in the room or needed more of.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
I would definitely stay there again.

The rooms are a decent size, especially by Manhattan hotel standards. There’s a fair amount of room in addition to the bed. There is a proper desk, couch, plus much more space. Rooms also come equipped with microwave, fridge, and coffee machine (but no safe).
There is also a lounge area on the lobby floor where you can work for hours after you check out/​before your flight/​etc. This is really cool because it has the wifi, drinks and snacks.
Free fast wifi (streamed music and youtube with no issues).
Each floor also has filtered water and bottles available.
Very convenient subway access.
I would only recommend staying here if you are working in the FiDi though… there’s not many good restaurants or bars around.

I recently stayed at Club Quarters when I was in NYC for a conference, and it was a good find for two nights. My friends and I were able to get a
deal for this hotel, so we payed a fair price for the two nights, which was great for a hotel so close to Wall Street.
Since we didn’t spend too much of our time in the hotel, I can’t speak too much about it, but I will say that the room was very spacious and comfortable. The view was spectacular and they had a lot of resources, such as desks and a table with chairs. Plus, a lot of channels on the television, which was nice to have when we were unwinding at the end of the day.
The outlets near my bed were not working and were coming out of the wall a bit, so I’d say that was the main problem. The bathroom was also super small, and that’s tough with three girls trying to get ready for a busy day. Other than that, no huge issues and I wouldn’t mind staying here a second time.

Bad hotel experience. For the price, the people at the desk were rude. We booked two nights and .5 way through they told us we needed to move rooms to the 9^th floor because of they needed to fix something in the room. They told us, didn’t try to ask. Anyway, I had made sure to get a room with two separate beds and the room that we were moved to had only one bed. When brought up they said there was nothing they could do. Needless to say it was an awkward night. Don’t stay there, other than the location, there is nothing special about it.

This is my second night here. The cleaning staff went above and beyond. I had a dirty spoon left over from eating some yogurt on the plane that I removed from my luggage. I returned to the room and found the spoon shimmering and sitting on the desk. Wow.
The front desk staff? Still haven’t even heard a «hello». I checked in via the auto check in kiosk, but still unacceptable. I’ve walked into the lobby at least 4 times and haven’t even been acknowledged. I’m staying here for business purposes, so not too bummed – mostly because I’m not expending my own money.
The location is great. I guess that’s what makes up for the shortcomings.

Attending a conference here, very basic and not well finished. Fairly dark room with which could really do with better lighting! The food was fair but nothing special. The location is good, close to Wall Street…

Situated in the middle of the financial district, Club Quarters Wall Street not only is a pleasant place for a quiet night’s sleep but has some of the kindest and most accomodating people in its staff. The front desk clerks here are better than most I’ve interacted with in the city.
The room I had was clean, but the mattress was uncomfortable and the bedding was chintzy and worn (especially the comforter).
Adjacent to the hotel is a restaurant accessible from the hotel lobby.

Okay, I’m giving this place 2 stars as 1 star seems a bit unwarranted after my full stay. While I stand by my initial impressions and experiences of the hotel, the management did offer their apology with a $ 50 gift voucher to the restaurant downstairs (I’m thinking they keep track of Unilocal reviews). So, I ended up having room service bring up dinner on them the first night, which was pretty good. Apparently though, when house cleaning came in the next day and removed the dishes, they left it all by the elevator entrance. There the dishes remained for the rest of my stay…
The towels smelled a bit funky and the toilet reminded me of ones you’d see in public bathrooms. There are free purified, chilled water bottles on each floor which is sorta a bonus, but for $ 150/​night I suppose I can’t expect primo experiences in NYC other than that. I also didn’t realize that the guest closet that’s self serve was to keep costs down, though I honestly don’t know how.
I think this hotel caters more to the business traveler with it’s no frills approach. I still won’t be coming back here.

My review is based on a conference that was held here. The conference facilities are pretty spartan, but if the goal is to host a conference in a business-​oriented location at a lower price, then Club Quarters meets the bill.
Although the lobby looks like a Starwood, Hilton, or Marriott, things start to get a little run down as soon as you get to the elevator. There’s only 2 elevators, so you have to wait a bit for one to come down. On top of that, the elevators are older so they move slower than most of us are used to. The meeting rooms are plain white without much decoration. The bathrooms also reveal the age of the building, with the outdated tile and bathroom vanity. Our particular conference offered breakfast through Club Quarters, but it was very plain — I think someone might’ve bought the bagels from Duane Reed, because they tasted like the kind that have preservatives in them so they don’t go bad.
Ultimately, the location is great, so if you can overlook Club Quarters’ age, it’s not a bad deal at all.

I was here on a business trip and my organization had booked this hotel because it was conveniently located a few blocks away from the office. I appreciated the cleanliness of our room as well as the furniture that adorned the room. The desk I had with a lamp was stellar and great for studying/​working and I also appreciated the lamps by the bed just in case you didn’t want to disturb anyone sleeping in the other bed. Our bathroom was always clean with fresh towels and our beds were always tidy when we came back after a long day, my compliments to the hotel maids!
The lobby was amazing! Though it was small it was very comfy with a flat screen, iMacs & an iPad for guest use, free coffee, fresh fruits, granola bars, and a charging station at the corner where people could charge their phones. There is also free wifi and stations where they provide you with empty water bottles and a filtered, cold water machine.
The front desk was also a great help in recommending some of the best must-​sees of NYC, where to eat, and prop taxi-​calling/​tipping etiquette.
Another great thing about the hotel is that there is a convenience store located nearby as well as many restaurants and one bubble tea bar (yay!) Wall Street is also right next to the hotel as well as several subway stops, the ⁹⁄₁₁ memorial, NY Stock Exchange, and World Trade Center.

This beautiful hotel in the middle of the financial district is a bit pricy but well worth it.
I love that there is a coffee/​espresso machine in the lobby. We used it everyday just prior to setting out on our NYC adventure. They provide complimentary bottled water on each of the floors. There was a computer with internet service and printer next to the elevator on each floor so that you can print work documents, surf the web or print out a boarding pass for your flight.
My room was clean and well thought out. I love that my window looks down on Wall Street and I could see all the commotion from the Stock Exchange from my room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and decked out the very nice fixtures. Even the soaps that they provide were amazing.

I was stayed here for 4 days, the room was small however it was clean, strategically located, and very convenient to subway stops.
Close to ⁹⁄₁₁ memorial and Wall Street only 3 minutes walking distance.
Free wi-​fi and free water on every floor since I drink like a camel. :-)
Staff are nice and very helpful.
