Mani & pedi deal is great ($ 30 I believe), and you never have to wait for a walk in. All staff are very experienced and friendly, and the owners seem to take care of their staff.
Great Essie polish selection, never disappointed with my selection. I’m very easy going and love to keep my nails looking healthy and shaped. I have not gotten any other service here besides a regular mani & pedi.
Black Label is my go too, for the service, cleanliness and atmosphere. I would not recommend the competitor across the street, Trevi Nails, based off their service and atmosphere. Wait for service at Black Label before going over there.

They are very clean, disposable files, srub, flip flops. They are also quite fast if you are in a hurry.

I received a gel manicure and a regular pedicure for $ 57.00 plus tip. You really do get great quality for the price you are paying. Both my manicure and pedicure are flawless. Vicky did such a wonderful job.
It got a little crowded after 6pm but they never made me feel like I was being rushed out of there. One of the cleanest nail salons I have been too.
The pedicure was thorough and relaxing. I do wish they had massage pedicure chairs but the leg and foot massage made up for it.

Services are too expensive. The place is beautiful inside and clean but $ 40 for a gel and $ 70 for a pedicure is steep.

Jelly is cool for the pedi, wish I could’ve soaked some more. Got the callus removal & the calluses were not removed. Spent $ 35 for a very below average pedi.
Décor is gorgeous. It’s clean. Staff is friendly. I overheard the owner asking a staff member if they tipped her well while tallying up the final price of a service. Not professional.

Was looking for something quick in the area, did a good old Unilocal search and came across Black Label. Didn’t think it would be super busy around lunch time the week of Thanksgiving but I walked in around 1 and the place was PACKED. The good news is that there were a ton of stations — mostly mani which is what I wanted. I waited less than five minutes which was great. I was already encouraged by that and the variation of colors — good stuff. I should back up for a minute and start by saying that I’m not a huge mani fan. I do my nails above average myself and like to keep my nails relatively long so I don’t like chancing it and cutting them too short. Today was special because the side of my nail was completely cracked and I needed care. I pointed this all out in the beginning. My nails are short now and during the filing my skin was getting cut. Prior to this my hands were sanitized by sanitizer that expired in September. I almost said something on my way out but was in a hurry. The sanitizer thing especially rubbed me the wrong way. All in all, a mani is $ 11.50. Not too bad.

My daughter walked in for an eyebrow wax and walked out with 2^nd degree burns. They have no idea what they are doing. If you want to get burned go to Black Label.

Horrible horrible place. NEVER get a wax from here, unless you want to get a second degree burn that will ruin your appearance. They do not handle burn situations well at all, unapologetic, do not own up. I would recommend going elsewhere if you want to keep your eyebrows from burning. Worst service ever!

I went in for an eyebrow wax. Received severe second degree burns. Got my money back, but no one even apologized. Poorly handled this situation. Very unhappy.

I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. However I feel hesitated after reading their reviews on Unilocal.Finally I walked in yesterday afternoon, this place has decent interior design. The store looks clean. I really like their jelly pedicure. What brings it down it’s the attitude of my manicurist. I will not mention her name here but it’s starts from letter «s». Miss S seems in the bad mood. She rushed through the whole process. I could feel that she is suffering from this job, for whatever reasons. I have to play some psychologic tricks and be very polite to her because I really don’t want her to ruin my nails. The whole process makes me so stressful. Now I know why they don’t have four-​star reviews.

This is my new favorite nail salon in the neighborhood!
The staff was extremely nice and the place was really clean. One of the best manis and pedis I have ever received!
I especially love that they don’t use whirlpool tubs!

I wanted to experience the «jelly pedicure» everyone was hyping over. The experience wasn’t bad, I did turn back into a 5 year old swooshing my feet back and forth in the water during my brief soak. The place was very clean and was pretty full on a Wednesday afternoon (I could only imagine how it would be on a Friday afternoon). Anyway, the pedicure was very good my technician provided a very thorough cleaning, scrub and massage (bonus stone they use to massage!).
However, the manicure was a different story. They had cleaned my hand, scrubbed it and was ready to put the polish on and she told me to pay which was reasonable. I felt like the technician rushed through my manicure and did a mediocre job. I would probably go back for the pedicure only.
Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience.

If I could give 6 stars I would. BY FAR one of the best pedicures I have had. There’s the gel foot soak, the exfoliating cream sock, the hot rock massage, and wax on my heels… JUST AMAZING!!! This is my new Manhattan spot for sure!
BTW, it’s over a week later and my nails STILL look good and I got the basic mani.

This review is best in categories:
–Cleanliness: This place is pretty sanitary. The technicians put hand sanitizer on their own hands and on yours before doing a manicure. The tools are sealed shut, etc. etc.
–Fun little things: hot stone, scented jelly pedicure bath, and paraffin on your feet
–Care in what counts: This is where the place falls short. They do a quick cutting and polishing job. My nails aren’t as straight as I’m used to and some nails were cut a bit too short. The polish wasn’t applied as meticulously as I would have liked.
–Atmosphere: The décor works. However, it’s a bit cramped in the evening and there’s a whole lot of socializing going on. This is a good place to go with friends, but not the best if you are looking for a quiet nail salon.
–Price: $ 30 for a mani pedi.

Really quick nail salon. They have a huge staff and the prices are pretty decent. I wouldn’t say this was the best manicure I’ve ever had but pretty good and quick for when you’re in a rush.
I really like that they have a huge selection of Essie colors and they even have a drying area with a bunch of fans for when your nails are painted and still wet.

Rushed service. Unfriendly technicians. Sloppy mani/​pedi service. Customers expected to tip an exceptional amount for poor work.
My friend recommended we come here after work for a girls night out but she apologized for the service. She usually come here during lunch break with fewer people and mentioned that one technician is really thorough. But that’s with every place in NYC. It’s always best to go at noon on a weekday if possible.
This place is a nightmare after work and since they’re so focused on making money they rush through the service. I still had my previous nail color on because the lady did not take her time to remove it before applying a new color. It’s not relaxing. You have to physically walk outside to go to the upstairs spa. Then the crazy yelling guy comes upstairs and makes you pay while your nails are drying. What a nightmare.
I can’t recommend this place at all. Unless you can come here during non-​peak and/​or need a quick fix me up for your nails for $ 30 plus work in the area then maybe. I understand why you may come here. Otherwise Black Label needs to be Black listed.

I had a lovely experience at Black Labels Nails today. I arrived just before 12 and the place was packed but luckily I didn’t have to wait to get a manicure. I sat down on the comfortable booth side of the nail station and the TV on the opposite wall was playing «He’s just not that into you.» I guess they play movies on repeat because I saw the ending of the movie (which was unfortunate, because I never saw the movie lol) and they promptly replayed the movie again from the beginning.
Right after I sat down a party of 8 came in for mani/​pedis and I was wondering how the salon was going to turn away this many people (there were no available stations) but it turns out the party called ahead and there’s a private room upstairs that was reserved for them.
This salon is very clean and sanitary and they take the health of their workers and their customers very seriously. At the start of the manicure both the technician and myself had to wash our hands before beginning, which I appreciated. The girl who did my nails was friendly and attentive and she perfected my nails in less than 20 minutes.
I am happy to say I’ve found my new go-​to nail salon near my office. $ 11.50 for a manicure really is not bad for NYC, especially for the accommodating environment. Although I brought my own nail polish I saw they had a huge selection of colors. There are TONS of the latest magazines for you to read while waiting for your nails to dry, or you can continue watching the movie of the day. I was very pleased with my manicure and I will be back — although I may choose to make an appointment next time since I have a feeling this salon is always crowded.

I’ve been coming here for about two years– it’s been that long since my last review. It’s pretty decent. $ 31 after tax gets you a mani/​pedi. They have extra employees during the lunch rush and seem pretty capable of getting you in and out of there.
Every time you go, it’s a different technician. This last visit, I must’ve gotten someone fairly new b/​c she kept having to clean the edges with remover every time she polished and every nail. I didn’t mind at all since you can’t see the smudges. I then asked to get an eyebrow wax ($ 10) and usually they have the (Korean) owners do this task… I was taken to the back by the same technician who proceeded to wax my eyebrows. Pls see pic and notice that I’m walking around with half an eyebrow… The owner must’ve noticed this as I came out b/​c she was now nowhere to be found. I will have to fine another place.
Also they pride themselves in clean instruments and jelly foot soak but the don’t clean the sinks after each pedicure, just a quick rinse.

They cut my big toe nail in half. Literally, split in two. And then didn’t even tell me and covered it up.
I used to love Black Label. It was my go-​to spot after work, and I was always pleased with the job. That, and their jelly pedicures are the coolest things I’ve ever experienced.
My nail tech was a kind Korean woman named Kim. I never worked with anybody else. On this particular day however, when I called to make an appointment with Kim, I was told she was no longer there. That should’ve been my hint to find another location, but I decided– hey! Why the hell not?
I arrived at Black Label around 2PM last Friday. They were super busy, but I was seated immediately after choosing my polish. It’s all downhill from there.
My pedicure was messy and sloppy. There was polish all over my toes that my nail tech didn’t bother to clean. She also wasn’t trained properly in nail filing, because she was dragging the file back and forth with so much force that I had to tell her to stop multiple times because she was hurting me, and damaging my nails.
My manicure wasn’t any better. She didn’t do a good job of removing my cuticles, and the paint job was uneven. There were even white gaps. Shaping wise, my nails were in all different variations of sloping squares (yuck).
The best part of this was when I arrived home. I looked down at my toes to begin removing some of the nail polish myself. I then saw that my big toe nail had completely split in half because of the aggressive filing job. I had to fix the nail with crazy glue and some strategic nail cutting in order to rectify the situation.
Such a shame– I liked coming here immensely.
