Specialties
From the beautifully marbled cuts of dry-aged beef, to the impeccably refined Old World service and charm, Benjamin Steak House, a successful Peter Luger offspring, prides itself in providing a quality dining experience in an elegant midtown setting.
History
Established in 2006.
Benjamin Steak House at the Dylan Hotel opened its doors in October 2006 with the intention of creating a Manhattan Mecca for steak-connoisseurs. Chef Arturo McLeod, partner of Benjamin’s, has spent more than 30 years in the meat preparation business. The former 20-year veteran of Peter Luger’s brings his experience with a new flare to Midtown.
For the serious steak-lover’s desire to know more about the quality of Benjamin’s steaks, Arturo personally patrons New York’s top wholesale meat markets to carefully select prime USDA meat that meets his highest-level of criteria; right shade of color, balance of texture, & proportioned amount of fat and bone. More importantly, the meat must be dry-aged in their specially handcrafted aging box, to exact temperature for the right amount of weeks.
The 5,000 sq ft 175-seated space, including mezzanine, was designed by M. Castedo Architects. The main dining room features a 10 ft fireplace, brown leather seating, wood paneling, & vaulted ceiling.
