Chop’t as a place to eat is genuinely good but at this particular one they have poor service and definitely NOTFRIENDLY! The layout of the area is very poor they decided to have the ordering line surround the dining area so while you eat you have a line of customers literally on top of you surrounding you, mean while the whole front is empty and could easily make one line to go in and one line to come out but no they decided to make your eating space so uncomfortable. I entered this place with my sister and she made a comment to the cashier of how the setup was uncomfortable, quickly the five females behind the cashiers(even though only one cashier was open) quickly took offense to the comment and rudely attacked back. Nothing further was said from us we just went to go sit and eat our food. While eating our food apparently so much offense was taken by our comment that two of the females from behind the cash register decided to antagonize the situation by sitting directly in front of us while we ate rolling their eyes and we’d awkwardly catch them staring us down.(They weren’t eating they genuinely just sat in front us making us feel uncomfortable). I can understand how at times customer complaints can be annoying but our comment about the seating arrangements wasn’t a personal attack it was merely a suggestion to, in my opinion, improve the experience at the place. I don’t know about you but I personal don’t like a line of people surrounding me in such a close environment as I eat, this could easily be resolved by forming a straight line to the counter then have it surround your eating customers. It allows people to eat comfortable and easily get up or sit down at the tables. rather then going in between people or being pushed and shoved. Well point is we were personally attacked by the people who work there all for asking a question and making a suggestion. It’s clearly poor customer service! I’ve never actually felt attacked by employees all for making a suggestion, it truly baffled me that rather then wanting customers to return they decided to antagonize the situation and basically cause customers not to return. If a customer has a complaint or makes a suggestion all you have to do is hear them out, clearly in the end you decide whether or not to make the change, it wasn’t even about the food, just while i’m eating I rather not be elbowed in my back by another customer who’s waiting on line.

i just want to commend this location on their excellent customer service! We definitely had a major mishap with our seamless order today and they worked with us quickly to fix the err. We ordered 13 salads on seamless today for a company lunch unknowing that the dressings listed were only suggestions and if we did not specify we would receive the dressing of the day(kale pesto). Well, that did not make people happy upon arriving. I called on behalf of the group to see if the corrected dressings could be sent over. Thankfully, they were. We were totally to blame here as we did not specify and they were more than willing to rush us the dressings. We apologize for any inconvenience this could have caused them in the meantime — we understand midtown during lunch rush can be hectic — but we are very thankful that you were so accommodating!

Gave you guys 3 chances, and every time was treated like shit. Walked in, stood there waiting to be helped for 5 mins. Walked towards the register where 3 girls were standing and told them I wanted to order a salad. One immediately responded to my answer to the other two saying they were done for the day, the other two asked for a male who told me to give me a min. 5 mins later told me sorry and give him another min while the two earlier staff members continued chatting. By the register. After that I walked out while hearing the one of the girls saying«bye» as I walked away in an almost mocking tone. I get that sometimes when it’s light it’s fun to slack off but I felt ignored. I only get have a 30 min lunch break, if you have no customers and 4 – 5 staff members… why did it take 10 mins for me to STILL not be assisted Just salad is a few blocks farther but fuck every time I go there I feel like they care about their jobs

Pathetic service! In pickup/delivery orders, they keep forgetting to include additional items you paid for. Happened thrice!

I love Chop’t so much — the closing of their 41st and Broadway branch has made my work food consumption a sadder, more expensive, less healthy affair. I started venturing over to this branch, but after several visits, I think I’m just going to have to give up unless/until they reopen over on Broadway, as was originally promised. In 5 trips here, they’ve been out of a particular ingredient or my desired dressing 4 times. That alone wouldn’t be a major issue, but they haven’t told me about that fact until my salad was pretty much put together, tossed and chopped — sorry, Chop’t — on 3 of those occasions, leaving me the unhappy choice to either(a) be an ass, tell them to waste food and start over or(b) try to figure out a replacement ingredient/dressing that they can throw in my salad. And what can truly replace kalamata olives or mexican goddess dressing, anyway? Look, I understand, you run out of stuff — on the whole I think it’s a good sign — people come here, hopefully they really do use fresh ingredients… but you really need to let people know that at the ordering stage rather than the check-out stage. I love Chop’t’s business model and stated goals(Chipotle-like but minus the e. coli thus far) and they are certainly a company receptive to customer feedback(they sent me a $ 5 credit after I emailed to complain about the problem the last time it occurred), but I’m not even that anxious to go back and use it. I mean, if you can’t get the exact salad you want, eventually you have to go elsewhere — at least until they open a closer, hopefully better branch — don’t you?

Ok I don’t know where to start. I came in for a salad an hour before closing — 8:20pm. They looked as though we were inconveniencing them by coming there. We ordered two salads and each of us, when asked how much we wanted, were given more dressing on our salad than desired. Ok so we let that pass. We took a seat near the window. We were the last two patrons remaining. All of a sudden, the lights go out! I guess that was their subliminal message that they wanted us to leave. So the lights come back on and we continue eating and chatting. Then a guy starts to mop the floors around us and the smell of Clorox was so pungent, we could barely breathe, much less continue to eat. We give him a look as he’s mopping around, but he just acted as if we weren’t there and proceeded to slop mop around us. How awful because it’s now only 9:00 pm and they supposedly close at 9:30. So now an officer and another patron comes in, then maybe four or five more customers. I guess this made their evening because they had to get back to work. I thought it to be very inconsiderate they would mop, using such a strong-scented cleanser, while customers are eating. My advice is never come to this location during their last hour of service because this is how you’ll be treated. Sad!!!

Amazing place for salad and salad sandwich!!! I had my very 1st «hot» Braised Greek salad sandwich here. I love the olives, feta cheese and chicken in my sandwich! Very fresh & creative! I came during lunch break and waited nearly 15 mins to get the food! It’s worthy for the wait tho!

I’ve honestly tried to avoid this location mostly because I’ve passed by here in the summers and the line is out the door. But then again, actually visit Chop’t for yourself and you’ll realize these salads are so good it’s totally worth waiting out the door(on a hot summer day, maybe debatable but still). I came in on a rainy Wednesday and there was close to zero line. There is a greeter who directs you to the multiple salad stations they have, much like any other Chop’t. I say I prefer this location more even though is less seating because it is very clear where the line is. I like Chop’t because I’m a bad salad maker, meaning I like a lot of things — but these things don’t necessary taste good together in salads(like ice cream and ketchup, not that I’d ever put those two in salads, I know that much). Thank goodness Chop’t has a whole list of salads you can request them to make and obviously they can accommodate it according to your needs(vg, gf, v) as they are only recommendations. I tried their New England Harvest with beets and blue cheese and boy, it was delicious! Some of the salads don’t have a lot of toppings in them, so you can feel free to add more, but sometimes, salads shouldn’t. And also don’t forget — bread is free if you ask!

I’ve ordered from this place twice. 1st time last week and they forgot an item. This week they didn’t even show up. 1 hour and a half later still no one. You have been warned.

I’ve been to several of their locations, there’s two within walking distance from where I work. Great selection of salad creations and dressings, but not every spot is consistent with it. Why is it that healthy food is more expensive than junk food? Put bacon in your salad and don’t be ashamed.

Super fast service, good for a quick lunch break getting out of the office. Great location, across the street from Bryan’s Park. I ordered the Palm Beach salad. All the ingredients are very fresh. It was a pleasant experience getting my salad from Chop’t. My salad was good. But I have to say it’s kinda pricy. A regular salad is $ 10+. But given it’s in Times Square. I guess it’s ok. Overall, I’d recommend this place.

Chop’t is what you make of it. You have to arrive early, or late to avoid lengthy lines that are often out the door. You have to know what you want, because once you get to the front of the line, there is absolutely no time for asking questions or being indecisive without drawing the glare from the many hungry people behind you. I really enjoy their long list of optional add-ins, the multiple types of greens and that everything is fully customizable. That being said, all those extras add up and before you know it, you can easily wind up paying $ 16 for a salad, just because you wanted to add a little goat cheese and egg whites. Your experience can vary greatly depending on who makes your salad. Some people are more heavy handed than others. Also, I find myself paying different amounts for the same salad. Some people will mark items as premium toppings on your tickets, while others might not. It can be very frustrating. The most economic way to enjoy Chop’t is to order off their menu; whenever I do, I always wind up paying less than when I make my own concoction. All that being said, I enjoy the salad here far more than area delis. I like the convenience of using the app, and the fact that I can earn credit towards a free salad. But, the inconsistent pricing, long lines and hefty price tag definitely keep me from frequenting Chop’t as much as I’d like.

These salads are addictive! So good. I get a salad every time I’m in mid-town. Sometimes I go out of my way to go here. De-freaking-licious. The guys who work here get it the salad made very quickly, pros at what they do. The selection is fantastic for the price. I always go with the Steakhouse. These salads are so good that it feels like a cheat day, and maybe it is because I get fullfat dressing but who the f cares. They’re amazing.

Ehhhh the salad is decent but really overpriced. I got a veggie salad– no protein and came up to about $ 14. City café on 43rd has a much better lunch time deal with unlimited toppings. However, the staff is very nice and attentive! Also, all ingredients were super fresh and dee-lish!

Right next to Bryant Park, so you can dine al fresco. The line can be crazy long at lunch, although it moves quickly and it’s worth it. Nobody chops salads as good as New York. :-)

I walked past this place yesterday and popped in because it had a clean look and feel to it. After walking around and seeing the sights, I found myself wanting something that would fill me up but not leave me overly stuffed. Appearance(4): The place had been busy all day; I stopped by earlier in the day and picked up a menu before deciding this was my dinner spot. Though it was almost closing, the place could’ve been on it’s way to being clean(it was 9:45 pm when I ordered and they closed at 10 pm). Service(5): Both of the gentlemen at the counter were courteous and expeditious when it came to making my salad. The cashier was very friendly and funny. As I was casually looking for the $.57 for my order, she went to her purse and grabbed what I needed without me knowing. Food(5): I ordered the Santa Fe Salad(First Time Favorite) with the Sweet & Smokey Chipotle Vinaigrette. Once all of the ingredients were added to my bowl, down the assembly line went my salad. The process to actually chop the salad was interesting. Every item my salad was chopt with the exception of my avocado, which was perfect! I wouldn’t want to have smashed avocado. If I wasn’t going home soon, I’d definitely come back. But, since my time is limited I’d rather try some of the other eateries around(it’s currently Restaurant Week here in New York). Overall(5): Will definitely return when/if I return to NYC.

I always love a good Chop’t. Steakhouse salad plus olives is my fave. It’s always so busy at this location but the choppers work like robots and make all the salads quickly and correctly. I’m a fan.

This is my go-to lunch spot. They are pretty efficient and fast during lunch. Don’t be discouraged if the line is out the door. Wait time goes by relatively quickly. All the staff are nice and friendly. The choppers are way efficient with their chopping. I think I’d have pretty nice arms after a week of working here. There are a plethora of dressings to choose from and let’s be honest, that’s what makes the salad. From spicy or creamy, they’ve got it all, including seasonal dressings. I recommend if you come here often to get their app to take advantage of reward points that will go towards a free salad. Hard to find good salads… This place does not disappoint.
